I think Ironicus was right on saying the sword needed the spines, since it is the Masamune, which required blood in order to be sheathed, and because Sam's is enhanced it instead requires cyborg spines.
I wish that you could get Vanquish on a pc just to see someone replace Sam Gideon's voice clips with Jet Stream Sam's. Or Vanquish 2, with a mode where you could play as Jet Stream Sam, 'cause that would be super cool.

Also, I love how exploitable the RAY fight is. This guy with the username Mike Kob has a video where he taunts RAY then chains 3 blade mode sections together, killing the thing in like 32 seconds.

I like Sam's moveset so much more than Raiden's. I'm normally against bringing back dead characters but I wouldn't mind if he returned in the sequel, or maybe even just having his move-set accessible by using the Murasama.

Actualy that Sam's dodge seems pretty efficent. I like to dodge and move around in games. That's why playing as Raiden was somewhat of a culture shock for me when the dodge wasn't something you could spam to move around.
