I like to protect my rims with cling wrap - It's fresh and super lightweight.

When I first started looking for rim protection solutions, I experimented with pigeons, but it's like you say, you need to consider the risk of the solution 'flying off' when you are on the road. Birds don't really have a flat surface so the 3M tape wasn't effective in adhering them to the rims.

Anyone else notice a strange "swooshing" sound that increases and decreases with speed after installing the MagBak RimCases? I have a Model Y with the 21’’ Überturbine wheels and only installed one set on the front passenger wheel so far because of the aforementioned sound. I took it into Tesla service, but the tech was pretty adamant that the RimCase was what was causing the sound. He recommended removing it to confirm -- but as those that have installed know -- it's a pain in the a$$ to install/remove these things. I guess air could be making its way through the RimCase, but it seems strange since I can hear the sound even at slow speeds of around 5mph.

Hi Sean, no I have not notice any swooshing sound on my install - even after installing them on four wheels. Imho if the noise happens from 5kph, I doubt its the Rimcase that caused it.

Have recently bought these for my Tesla MYP 21” Uberturbine wheels, and they DO NOT FIT! They are too small to click over the rim! Waiting on MagBak to respond to my claim.

You need slip and tack solution to apply those films? Lol

Oh yes I might have to use a proper solution to lubricate the adhesive side so you can get rid of the bubbles. Or Magbak to give us a black ppf instead of a clear one…
