Hi guys. Thank you for your informative video. I have connected my new unit up exactly as per your instructions but I have a slight issue. The camera seems to power on when I put the car in reverse (as the bright led lights around the camera lens light up), but I am not getting a video signal on the screen. I have plugged the RCA into the correct input on the head unit and I have checked the radio settings to ensure that the Reverse Camera setting is 'on'. Do you have any ideas as to why I am not getting vision from my camera onto the screen? Cheers from Maurie
Very nice. My only recommendation is to connect the ground wire first before connecting any power cabling to a power source.
Ah that is true, great pickup. I didnt show in the video but I covered the ground wire with electrical tape but failed to mention. You can see this at 12:05
Another great and very thorough video ANG. Roughly how long did the install take? I saw at least 3 hours go by on your watch. I know you did some extra stuff like clean the dirt coming from the wheel well. Really Tesla!!?
Thanks @Ausy8 😊 If we are just talking about the removal, install and assembly, 1 hour should be plenty of time. It took me a lot longer because as you mentioned, I cleaned the dirt and of course did the filming. Much easier than I thought. With regards to the dirt, I was going to have Tesla service check my car but after chatting with the service rep, I was told those gills are there to allow for the sound from the horn to come out, probably BS, idk. But they were going to charge me $181 just to inspect it without a clear action how to stop from entering, I said no thank you and cancelled the service appointment. Since you have been clocking a lot of kms in all sorts of different weather conditions, I would highly recommend that you at least remove the frunk tub and clean the area.
@@AutosNGizmos Thanks for the install time. Re the dirt, I dare not look. We probably have half of the outback in there. Maybe those grills are also for the pedestrian warning system that they install on more recent models? Anyway it's a bad design and they should shift them somewhere else.
Lol, fair. When you come back around to pick up Frankenstsrlink, I can do the service for you free of charge 😊 I can use my water-based vacuum… Yes bad design but hopefully those connectors are dust/dirt proof
Hello, why de camera connects in the brown cable in the decoder and not in the cables with the rca yellow?
It’s been ages since I did this and I might have tested those wires and they probably registered 0v when I put the car in reverse. Or maybe it did I just didn’t test it. But good pick-up. Thats probably the first priority and the canbus brown wire second…
@@AutosNGizmos finally I use the brown wire and all work correctly, thanks for the video:)
8:08 Thats a lot of dirt 😮
Update with regards to the gill on the wheel well. According to Tesla service, those gills are there to allow for the sound from the car horn to escape out 🤷♂️
Mine bought aprul 2023 and still work perfect more power joying🎉❤
@@leonardsanchezf.361 Awesome, yeah Joying is a good brand
Do you know if this update also works on the Tesery 6.86” model?
Hi Joel, Thanks for watching the video. Unfortunately I dont know the answer to that question. Their website doesn’t seem to have information about firmware upgrades for the 6.86” units. Best if you can ask Tesery directly about this.
@ thanks for the quick reply. I emailed them but unfortunately I’m finding their customer service is not very good to be polite. I should have gone with a Hanshow model…
Hi Joel, I’ll see if I can follow this up for you.
Hi, I don't know a lot about cars, I recently bought my first car, a Polo mk5 (6R) 2017 (CJZC engine). Do you (or anyone else reading this) by any chance know if I could install a reverse camera that would work with the factory screen. I want a license plate light camera. I also borrowed a friend's obdeleven tool to look for some info on my car and here's some of it. Control unit: 5F Multimedia System description: MU-E--ER Software number: 6C0035867F Software version: 7082 Hardware number: 6C0035867F Hardware version: 050
Hello my friend, i wanted to install a carplay modul in my car and i saw those two orange cables connected to the radio. Chatgpt told me those are fiber optics for premium sound system but i dont have Harman Kardon or any other branded speakers. Can i buy any carplay module for the w203 without needing a fiber optic convertor?
Hi there, its more the question whether the Carplay module is compatible with your headunit. Im assuming you already have one installed on your car?
We made all that and no work. Well work perfect but no sound idk why.
I’m sorry to hear you have installation issues. Do you happen to have a Harman Kardon system in your W203?
Hello, have you had problems with battery consumption? Or is it the canbus hatdle to avoid it?
Hi there, throughout my ownership of this car (sadly I no longer have this car), I never had any battery drain issue…
For last few days my reverse camera is giving inverted picture. What could be wrong and how to rectify. Thanks
Hi Imran, That is strange. I checked the firmware setting and it doesn’t seem to have something that would cause the image to be inverted. Perhaps there is a setting within the reverse camera app itself? Maybe when the reverse camera is projected on the screen, try tapping on the display and check if there are icons that control how the image is shown on the screen…
@@AutosNGizmos thanks . Will try that
How does the cable stay in the red box ? I have something similar. But also mine doesn’t seem to have any power. Also where would I put the black cable in a Renault traffic
Hi Robert, firstly thanks for watching the video, I really appreciate it. If by “red box” you mean the CANBUS decoder, it gets power from the car’s main wiring harness. Mine doesn’t have a power LED indicator so it’s not easily distinguishable that it is getting power. The only way to confirm it is receiving power is to testing the wires using a multi-meter. With regards to the black wire for your Renault Traffic, I’m not too familiar with that vehicle but normally, black wires are “ground” which means you need to connect them to a ground point in the car. For most vehicles, a ground point is normally any connection to the car’s bare metal. You typically see this when a bunch of wires are connected to a bolt attached to the body of the car. But I must warn you that if you are not familiar with electricity concepts, please seek the help of a mechanic/professional to avoid damaging your car or injuring yourself. Best of luck!
I've got a 05 c230 it didn't have any that factory. I added camera and Bluetooth touch screen
Yeah good stuff. The W203 is such a beautiful car!
Hi my TESERY 6.2'' Dashboard screen works but has no sound help
Hi there, so sorry to hear that. Was it working before and it only stopped producing sound recently?
Hi thank you so much for replying I really appreciate it 🙏🏽 no I had it installed today however no sound it pairs to my iPhone I can see it all working
What I do is when Carplay starts up on the Tesery, I go to the Tesla screen and connect to my iPhone via bluetooth. In that way when I use Carplay-compatible apps on my phone, the sounds goes through the Tesla speakers.
I don’t know we’re u get the connection for the ground. You don’t show it in this video and you don’t talk about it in the wire video. Is it even necessary to connected it to the ground? I hope you can help me.
@@dittusslp3661 Hi Dittus, Yes it’s important to connect the reverse camera power to ground. If you skip through 20:57 mark, that is when I tapped the ground wire into the car’s grounding point. That ground wire directly feeds in to the power jack for the camera. I should have explicitly said this in the video.
Hey is this with only the model Y or is it available for model 3? Also does this work with 2023 year or older models ?
Hi Jhovany, the Tesery unit I showed in this video is compatible with the older Model 3/Y (2017-2023) and the newer Model 3 (Highland). Just make sure to select the correct product option… You can find my affiliate link to this product in the detailed video review which I linked in this short video. Please check it out 😊
@@AutosNGizmoshello, I was referring to the visual update. My 2021 M3 doesn’t seem to have the sliding option to have the car in the center.
Oh sorry, I misunderstood your question. When I did this video a couple of months back, the Tesla software had a setting under Controls>Autopilot called “Full self driving visualisation preciew” that you can toggle On/Off. They seemed to have removed this toggle switch. I’ve set mine to ON back then and I still have the feature. But Im not sure how to activate it if you dont have it… ☹️
hii, umm is it normal to not be able to use the gesture controls at first? do you have to activate them? touching the screen or swiping in any way does nothing...
Hi there, Ive answered this from your other post…
hii, umm is it normal to not be able to use the gesture controls at first? do you have to activate them? touching the screen or swiping in any way does nothing...
Hi there, do you mean gesture controls on your Tesery unit (swipe from left, from top or from right) does not work on first attempt but it works on the second or succeeding attempts? Or do you mean your Tesery does not have gesture control at all? FYI, gesture controls on my 6.2” Tesery for my 2022 Tesla Model Y (With AMD chip) works all the time. What firmware version do you have installed on your Tesery? It could be a firmware issue. Regardless, it might be best to contact Tesery directly for support.
Excellent video. Tells exactly what to do.
Thanks for the feedback. Much appreciated 😊
Great work there. If you slide up for that middle clips when u removed, don’t you need to slide down when installed ? Just curious😊
Hi Brian, Yes you can probably do that too actually. But since that metal clamp is slanted in, its also possible to just push it in.
Great review of the os top work
Thanks frostwise87, much appreciated 😊 Ive also written a web article about it. Have a look if you are interested buymeacoffee.com/autosngizmos/common-android-headunit-firmware-settings
It's amazing!! It's hard to find this kind of vidoe,it's very useful. Thank a lot!!
Thanks, I appreciate your feedback and I’m glad you found this video useful 😊
I have a Nissan Rogue and every once in a while the factory head unit seems to think I got a phone call except nothing shows on my phone and nothing on the head unit. I pull into the next parking lot so I can shut the vehicle off and turn it back on and it still does it. It is bizarre! Thankfully it only happened once because it is very distracting. I may just give a different unit a try. On Reddit there seems to be a post about someone else having the same problem. It is a Bosch head unit so it is not like some no name generic junk either. Maybe there is a bug in its software. That is the only reason it would do this in my opinion. It really is an annoying thing and I am glad it only happened a couple times but still I would not want to be in busy traffic or trying to find my way around an unfamiliar place and have that make me wreck my vehicle. I tried to get it to stop while on the road still but no luck since it is hard to safely take my eyes off the road long enough to figure out what the heck is happening. That seems like one of those things that needs to be solved at home in the driveway where you are at home with internet to get some insight into what may be causing it. I once had to make a 20 minute trip to some place listening to that and it can really make you lose your mind!! If I knew which fuse to pull I most certainly would have. I would just take a photo first so I can see where all of them are supposed to go and that can help if you ever take it for electrical work and an incompetent person puts one of the wrong rating (I don't call it "size") in some place.
Hi Charles, yeah this will also drive me nuts. To me, it doesn’t sound like an issue caused by a bad fuse because a bad fuse means it’s an open circuit and no electricity will be flowing through. But I read somewhere that whenever Google Maps provides voice guidance, the dashboard shows a call with “My Number”. Then on my car whenever I activate SIRI on my phone, there is a phone call box that shows up on the car’s screen so that’s another angle of investigation for you. Good luck on your investigation and feel free to give an update if ever you determine the root cause of this issue 😊
You don't really need the cellular antennas do you? I would like to think my phone in my pocket is all I need and just use the head unit partly as a handsfree device.
Hi Charles, in most cases you don’t need to have a separate cellular connection. The only time you need it is if you want the car fully connected to the internet all the time, for example if you want to see the location live, or if you have a dashcam, see the live camera feed remotely.
@@AutosNGizmos I normally use Sygic. It is a good app that can be used free for the basic stuff as long as you want but it lets you download the individual maps for each state. I think all of the USA is only a couple of gigabytes but I am usually in one state so I just keep that one. Also if you have a microsd card in your phone at the time you install Sygic it lets you choose it if you want to for the maps. That is great if you just want to keep your phone storage clean or if you have an older device that doesn't have a lot of internal storage. I still remember older Android devices having 4 GB of space and a large portion of it already full. While Sygic is free for the basic stuff they do have a few extras. The nice thing about that app is you don't need a constant data connection to find your way around. That helps if you live in a place where cellular connections are not so great. Every once in a while they have map updates too and they are free. If you have an older head unit in your vehicle that doesn't have WiFi but also needs a replacement SD card for map updates it is nice to have a phone with Sygic on it. I have seen streets on my vehicle GPS that are not there any more. I also have seen housing developments not far from me that are not on my vehicle GPS. Often Sygic will have a more up to date map. If it doesn't look for the update.
It is nice that they make them so they don't look out of place. That and potential technical problems are why I never wanted to install a different one in any of my vehicles. I didn't want something in there that looks ugly
Yeah these days, the after-market headunits look like they come from factory. I once installed an android headunit for a 2010 Peugeot 308 T7 and the mechanic from the Peugeot service centre admired how it looked “OEM”.
How to deactivate the red color of the speed when it's over the speed? I tried 2 methods 1) on the manual and 2) on aliexpress website which sell this item but it does not work. Thanks
Hi there, I appreciate your question. I referred to the product listing on the Yonzee online store and apparently, there is a separate firmware file to deactivate that feature. This is what’s in their page: “If you want to cancel the red indicator light reminder of the speeding code meter, you can use these two things. Please contact our customer service to send you the operation file” I have sent them a message today. I will upload the file into my google drive and share it with the community as soon as I receive it. Stay tuned…
Hi there, I received the new firmware fiile to deactivate the overspeeding indicator. Link to the file is on my google drive: drive.google.com/drive/folders/17j9f4d5Neqnzpqlx77BPrje0cecS2rU4 I will install this tonight but I don't think I will be able to test this here in Australia since the max legal speed limit here is 110 kph. So let me know if this works :)
@@AutosNGizmosThanks for the file. I flashed the unit with the new firmware and it still does not work. The left and right signal works but the speed number still turns red when it's over speed. I noticed the file from google is exactly same size as the one you posted
i did not see much different, from the pict i thought you just polished the wheels cuz it looked shinier on the 'after' side
Actually you are right, the difference is very subtle and the picture doesn’t give it give it justice. I should take a better video thumbnail too LOL
I was able to get the Joying head unit going well using HCRV-H harness with Raise RZ-HD06 Decoder. HOWEVER, it's not as simple as connecting a compatible decoder (I know this because I tried 3 in the end!). After a lot of research and comparing wiring diagrams I've found that some Honda CRV's have a 12pin Audio-Nav Unit Connector - this is the one with two rows of pins, but only the top pins have wires. If you trace them, most of the cables go straight to the Canbus decoder connector. Unfortunately, the 12pin connector does not have any pins for Can Bus, it only supplies GA_Bus (not sure what that is, but I think it's something to do with AV). The secret to getting Can Bus working is to tap the Can Bus lines (Pin 15 & 31) going to the back of the MID Screen. I've disconnected the 12pin connector altogether and applied the tapped Can Bus lines from the MID screen to pin 11 and 12 of the can bus decoder everything now seems to be working. So far I've noticed Steering wheel controls, Door open indicator, and Reversing Track 'bends' with the steering.
That's excellent work! I tried back-and-forth with the Joying technicians and they were not able to help make the steering wheel buttons work. I'm glad yours worked :)

What canbus module do you use? Mine is a raise module and I can control all the functions but the audio info does not pass from the radio to the multifuncional screen, just a bunch of random characters...
Mine comes together with the Idoing unit which is probably preset for this car. Have you tried updating the car settings within the firmware?
Hi, did you installed the front camera? Do you have a video? I cannot figure out how to get the camera cable from under the frunk inside, under steering wheel. Thanks for this great video
Hi there, Yes thats the difficult part of the front cam install which is the reason why I haven’t done it yet. It requires poking a hole through the big rubber grommet next to the steering wheel rack which I dont intend to do. But I might use a wireless camera module to transmit video signal from the camera to the Tesery unit instead. Watch out for that video coming soon. Thanks for watching this video 😊
Can you please make new videos of cars without can bus?
I think most of the cars on the roads here in Australia have canbus so it will be difficult to find one without one 😀
@@AutosNGizmos oh okay... The more videos you make, the more knowledge I gain from you. And it's easy to understand too.
Thanks again for your detailed video. I installed the device in my Honda today, and the only difference was that I actually needed three orange clips. Without them, the bottom part of the device couldn't fit properly.
Awesome thanks for watching the video, really appreciate you taking time to share your experience. Joying must have updated the design of that bottom trim.
Thanks a lot. But why mine has « 365 » on screen when im stopped or hold ?😮
Hi there, When stationary, the Yonzee will display the car’s remaining range.
@@AutosNGizmos yes … but no percentage. Only km? Can we use in %? Thanks.
seems like that the installation on the RH side cars is much more easy, i having trouble to get the wiring routed threw the complete dash...still trying
Yeah I feel sorry for the LHD folks. TBH, it would have been an easier install for everyone if it was design to connect to the OBD port but alas its not
Does wireless carplay work so i can not use the USB cables?
@@soczek214 Yes this product can support wireless Carplay but it depends what product option you pick. It is best to ask the seller to make sure you get the right one.
Thank you very much, after hours this was the only solution that worked for me
You’re welcome ☺️
Hi, great video! I recently received this headunit and noticed that the GPS antenna is magnetized, making installation easier without the need for adhesive. I'm curious, was your GPS antenna also magnetized? If so, did you find that the position you chose worked better for your setup?
@@davormilutinovic119 Hi Davor, I don’t remember if my GPS antenna was magnetised. At least for me, I think there is very little use for this antenna since the headunit supports Apple Carplay and Android Auto. I could probably do away not connecting this at all but since it was provided, I had to install it 😁
Thank you very much
You are very welcome 😊
After 3 years how’s it running?
Hi Ali, I lost this car about a year ago due to an incompetent mechanic after owning it for about two years. If you are based in Melbourne, I would avoid that mechanic. But the headunit did not fail me throughout that ownership.
Great detailed video! Do you have a link to the camera mount? I couldn’t find it anywhere on the market.
Hello MrElston644, thanks for watching the video. Regarding the product link, you can try this new affiliate link. Just make sure you check the dimensions on your number plate light cover and get the option that match yours. I think its either option 3 or 4. s.click.aliexpress.com/e/_mMLhTWu Please note since this is my affiliate link, I may get a small commission from Aliexpress if you make a purchase. Thanks if you end up making a purchase. It helps me keep the channel running😊
Sir can you please kindly send 🅦🅗🅐🅣🅩 🅐🅟🅩 so that I can share all my issues? I can't explain my problem. Hence, i will share photos.
So the RCA cable has 2 wires.. inner is the video data signal coming from camera to the android unit, and the outer ring is the ground wire which gets already grounded inside the android unit. If my assumption is correct, then we don't need to connect the black wire of the 2nd connector to ground anymore. We can just leave it UNCONNECTED. Is this correct?
I see your logic here. However, you still need to connect the black wire on the Camera side so the 12v running on the red wire has a path to ground. If you don’t connect that black wire, the camera wont power up.
@@AutosNGizmos okay thanks for the reply.
@@AutosNGizmos Sir if you don't mind, can you please kindly share your 🅦🅗🅐🅣🅩 🅐🅟🅩 because I can't explain. I will better send photos/diagrams which explains more clearly...
@@AutosNGizmos sir can you help me?
@@AutosNGizmos I have one RCA adapter with 4 wires and the other end has a yellow connector with 2 wires. Between these 2 ends, there is a BLACK JUNCTION BOX from which only 2 wires come out to the yellow connector. And one wire not connected to anything. Obviously, inner ring is video signal and outer ring is ground. And, what are the 2 remaining wires used for??? And, what's inside the black box junction??? I really need englighten on these 4 wires and it's really confusing me alot. Please 🙏 help.
What did you do with the black wire? Did you connect it to ground (body of car) or did you leave it disconnected and got the ground from the RCA cable only?
Hi Steven, Yes I connected the black wire to the grounding point of the car.
thanks for sharing, solve the turn signal issue, worked perfectly

The concern is for the battery more than the plastic trim, as you know.
@@cheefussmith9380 Of course. Save the plastic trim, save the battery…
Can you share Canbus settings please for this headunit for w203
Hi there, thanks for watching the video. If you are after the CAN Type value I used, I have it set to 135. This seems to work with my 2005 W203 C200. For the rest of the CAN settings, I actually written a short web article which includes a mind-map view of the settings. Link here: buymeacoffee.com/autosngizmos/common-android-headunit-firmware-settings Let me know if you need further information. Cheers 😊
I have done exactly what is shown in the video but it doesn't seem that it gets any power ?
Hello there! This sounds like an issue with the wiring harness. If you have a multimeter, check if the power wires are properly connected and is showing a voltage reading. Otherwise, I suggest getting in touch with the seller to help rectify the issue. Good luck 🍀
@@AutosNGizmos okay thanks, I will look into that
