Trump meets Mormon leaders in Utah amid plans to scale back monuments

- (4 Dec 2017) President Donald Trump is meeting with Mormon leaders during a trip to Utah to announce he's scaling back two sprawling national monuments.
Trump on Monday visited Welfare Square, a complex in Salt Lake City run by The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints that provides aid to the poor.
Trump spoke briefly and publicly praised the church for the way it takes care of people.
The Republican president travelled west to announce his intention to shrink the Bears Ears and the Grand-Staircase Escalante national monuments spanning millions of acres in Utah.
He has condemned the act of creating the Utah monuments as a "massive federal land grab."
The move is welcomed by the state's top Republicans but opposed by Native American tribes and environmental groups.

The Church system of charity is funded by donations only while all government systems are funded by taxation there is a big difference
I remember this experience when he arrived in Utah. I was driving to work and I take the freeway. The highway patrol blocked all traffic from those coming from the airport to downtown Salt Lake. I knew it was the President. This was an awesome experience. It was worth being late, but seeing my President and my church leaders meeting with him inspired me. Why isn’t Biden doing this yet? Lazy joe Biden? Trump is my president. He gets to work and gets it done.
He met with them as VP and received a full family history as they do with Presidents. They were also at the White House when Biden signed the Respect for Marriage Act.

To my fellow Latter-day Saints, you cannot pledge support to President Nelson in a temple recommend interview and then go vote for Trump.
