You can complain, but don't cry wolf xD. It's supposed to be an unspoken rule, because it's supposed to be obvious enough. But the consequences you can reasonably enforce from someone breaking unspoken rules is incredibly limited xD. The group will likely mock you for eternity, or distance themselves depending on the nature of the rule that was broken.

Lovely to see you again amber,I struggle to get up so I have been known to use 3 alarms,one I put the other side of the room,so I have to get out of bed,although I like 30-45minutes to relax eat breakfast and relax with a coffee in silence take care!
The booth thing is just women not wanting to go up and pay for the meal in any capacity perpetuated for so long that it has become "a thing".
If it was for safety like some say then realistically the man on the booth makes more sense as he can scan the entire room more efficiently for dangers and react quicker to them.

There are 2 kinds of people;
1. Alarm goes off; Springs out of bed, bright awake and completely ready to face anything.
2. Alarm goes off; Hits snooze. Oozes out of bed after hitting snooze 10 times, still 90% asleep, barely knows what year it is.
I set 2 alarms and snooze them way too much, then when a decent song plays I will wake up 😂. Awesome video Amber, lovely to see you ❤

My cat usually wakes me up before the alarm goes off, but my alarm clock is on the other side of the room, so I have to get out of bed to turn it off.
Laziest thing I've done is pirated a movie on my laptop because it wasn't on Netflix/Prime/Disney+ and I couldn't be bothered to get up and get the DVD from the other side of the room
I need to get moving to work at 8, so I have one alarm at 7:00, one at 7:10, one at 7:30 and one at 8:00 just to go "time to move". I wake up at the first one, lay in bed until the second, go up and shower and eat breakfast. By that point I should be somewhere around 7:40-7:45 and I have some time to laze around a bit, so I usually read or watch TH-cam for a little bit while getting ready. Then at 8:00, I leave for work. Works like a charm.
I can also just set an alarm and go up immediately, do the bare minimum of preparation like brushing my teeth and then go to work, but then it's like I don't have any time to truly prepare for a day of work.

The laziest thing ever story that I love is one about some Navy guy, that saw his XO in the mess hall, actually radio in new coordinates for the ship, so he wouldn't have to move six inches to get the sun out of his eyes.
As for the "butter hack", I already learned it over 40 years ago in school. The reason is that the packets of butter we received at school were often straight from the fridge and hard, impossible to spread in the usual way as the sandwich broke. With this hack, the butter quickly becomes soft and spreadable.

People been saying to me that I wake up like a psychopath, my alarm is set to start gradually, so it start on low vibration then low sounds and picks up after that, I get out of bed before the sound even start. I think it's 20 seconds on vibration before it starts and when I'm not working and I don't put any alarm no matter what time I go to bed I'll wake up, check the time and it would be 5-15mins after my usual alarm time.

Laziest thing i've ever done is.. bought smart bulbs and a smart speaker so i'd never have to get up from bed to turn off the bedroom lights again ;) its been a couple years now and i'm still impressed google understands my half-asleep mumbles.

As a guy, I hate not getting the booth when the restaurant didn't have padded chairs. It CRUSHES the balls. Guys deserve the booth more. Do I let whoever I'm taking to dinner choose first? Yes. However if you don't let the guy take the booth, you are evil.

I have alarms set on 2 different phones also a tablet... Set 10~15 minutes apart for 40 minutes & all three devices are staggered 😅 I slept through a fire 🔥 in my apartment when I was younger 😆

What are you talking about Nal same effort !!! No way !!! You get the butter dispensed over the whole piece without having to dip your knife in and then scrape the container and then having to spread it with a knife as your scraping the bread to try and get it evenly over the whole piece!!! You do get all the butter thru the holes and when you’re done it’s everywhere and you just start eating without having to spread it out!!!
I actually wake up before my alarm 9 out of 10 times, the remaining time the alarm wakes me up and I get right out of bed. I'm a weird person though and consistently wake up between 4:45 & 6:30 AM. No cap

Yeah, I've had a song stuck in my head for almost 20 years. I just recently found it on an old storage unit and it's just labeled "Music" because I recorded it off of a website and saved it. I still have no idea what it's called but it's damn good. There are no lyrics so I can't look it up. I uploaded it to youtube in hopes of getting it copyright struck so I can finally know what the name is.

You're probably having a hard time waking up because you're not setting the alarm time correctly. Instead of setting it for a time you need to wake up, set it for ~7 1/2 hours from when you're going to sleep. A normal circadian cycle is every ~90 minutes. If you wake up in the first or last 30 minutes of the cycle, you'll wake up just fine. That middle part is when you're in your deepest sleep.

I have an alarm app that allows me to set the snooze duration so I set it to 20 minutes because that actually gives you more rest unlike 5 minutes which just ruins your rest. I have it set to allow 2*20 minutes of snooze and then I have to solve 2 simple math problems to disable the alarm to make sure I can't turn it off in my sleep. It can also be set to check when you are sleeping lightly and start the alarms then for easier waking up
The booth rule is in there with the unspoken rule that says, if you are walking with a woman, you go on the outside near the road.

Get the alarm far away from the bed, so you have to get up to stop it. Once on your feet, it's much easier to keep going and just stay awake.
If I have the need to doze, it's usually because of not enoughm or too much sleep.

Reason which could explain why girls belong on the booth: For safety. If something happens, the guy gets it first, or is expected to stand up and be the one to defend. Also noteworthy for me, idk about others, but I get the feeling all girls like to sleep on the side of the bed that's furthest away from the door while facing the direction of the door. Able to see what's going on outside, but further away should an intruder present themselves... leaving the man to be the one automatically to get the action first. Both situations would also present opportunity for the woman to hide. In restaurant, sliding under / behind the table. Same with the bed.
No. The man gets his back to the wall so he can watch the room for anything that he may have to get you out of if shit happens.

Restaurant Rule I was taught:
The man (at least one, if there are multiple) sits facing the door / entrance. If there are multiple entrances, get whatever seat has the best angle to keep an eye out on both. That way, if there is something going down, you can be prepared. Whether that means getting ready to escape or grabbing the steak knife / forks to defend yourselves.
If the booth seat is what has the best views, sorry ladies... Otherwise, yes, ladies get booth seats.
Did you know that most people arrange their sleeping situations for basically the same reason, even going so far as tending to sleep with their legs closer in relation to the door compared to their head to give a better chance of detecting intruders.

When I was in high school, some nights I was too tired to get out of bed and switch the light off. Instead I would take off whatever t-shirt I was wearing, crumple it up into a tight ball, and sling it at the wall such that it would hit just above the light switch, slide down & shut the light off just before falling into my laundry basket.
I don't know about the unspoken rule for finances. My entire life whenever I was granted the Chair Booth combo, my mom always took the booth and never gave me a clear answer why I couldn't have the booth. so it was basically beaten into my head that all females in my life that I take out for meals get the booth

Regarding the booth.... My ex asked me about it one time, and I answered it like this. I will always sit with my back to the wall. I do this, because it means that I am able to watch everything, and everyone; above all else, my responsibility and obligation was to protect HER. She enjoys dinner, knowing that I am watching out for her. Its the same reason why I walk on the outside of every sidewalk, or will stand in front of her while opening the door to an unknown room. If I do not know what is on the other side of that door, I will always put myself in the way of that potential harm. ALWAYS. It's not a matter of whether she can or cannot handle it. It is simply that it is my obligation as her significant other to protect her. Now, granted, there was the occasional time i'd step back and let her handle someone who talks down to her, but if it got too heated, i'd again step back in. My responsibility as someone who desires to be married, is to understand that being a husband means being a leader in good AND bad... Means putting HER ahead of myself, and expecting nothing in return.
