    From 8:06 to 8:24, you can see a wild Nalopia trying to communicate. Typically, this high of a screech means she is annoyed at chat, but from this one’s body language, it seems she’s imitating a member of a similar species.

    Homes in the United States are usually built with hollow interior walls, to allow insulating material to be placed inside the walls.
    This allows temperature to be regulated between highs and lows. In Cleveland for example low temperature average is 1 degree, and a high of 28 degrees C
    These are only average. Temperatures; much lower and much higher are not at all unusual.

    • @kholdanstaalstorm6881
      @kholdanstaalstorm6881 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      The video is so much longer originally, she got almost everything about tanking fuel wrong...
      Not only did she park too far away, she turned the wrong side of the car towards the pump, took a 360 turn around the pump stand and tried to fill afterwards...
      Then it was a 180 to try the other side of the stand...
      The more I see it, the more I hope it was staged, because how is it even possible to be so blissfully unaware of how 3D objects work.
      I haven't got the words to describe how much that sequence made my slight OCD itch...

    In north america where I live almost no houses have brick walls. they are typically wooden beams spanned 1/2 a meter apart covered in "sheetrock" which is basically cardboard. now if you want to spend 15 million dollars you can get a house like what you build in australia but it is very rare.

    • @AntiChannel1
      @AntiChannel1 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Yeah, that's why you can hear the neighbors.
      In New York you have bricks, that's why it's as expensive as in Europe.

    • @eXpriest
      @eXpriest ปีที่แล้ว +2

      They're not that expensive, typically cheapass construction like you're describing is like 2-5 dollars per squarefoot, brick is about 15, so yeh it's more expensive but it's also way more durable.
      Steel reinforced concrete is actually cheaper than brick and is more durable than both and has similar insulation and fire resistance properties to brick, so it's ideal if you never intend to remodel.

    • @kholdanstaalstorm6881
      @kholdanstaalstorm6881 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes, sheetrock...
      About 15 mm of plaster covered on both sides with cardboard.
      It should be 2 sheets thick minimum in my opinion, but check for particle boards or MDF as a more durable alternative.
      We in Europe use these Sheetrock panels too, when a customer wants seamless edges, even though you can achieve the same finish with particle boards/MDF.
      More work with pb/MDF to get that pristine finish, but they can be delivered with structure pressed into the boards.
      When using Sheetrock, it's common to use extremely thin metal beams (about 1 mm thick) made in an U shape the with of a usual wooden beam.
      These metal beams get their strength from the sheetrock panels, making the complete structure somewhat rigid.
      Before that they're so easy to bend or give additional headaches during construction.

    Most houses in Canada have Drywall for inside walls and yes bricks for outside walls.
    Drywall is very easy to break, and anything nailed or screwed only in the Drywall and not a stud will fall if it has any weight at all.
    Drywall is basically plaster sandwiched between paper sheets.

  • @endless013
    @endless013 ปีที่แล้ว

    5:52 yes, American walls are built as cheaply as possible for the last 40 or so years it's just a frame made of 2x4's with Drywall on either side.

  • @lazerbehm8681

    You have to be careful when hitting the inside of house's over here in the State's! Yes sheetrock can be easily broken , however the studs/boards in between are very much solid!
    My sister friend who lived with us for a summer broke his hand, punching a hole into our wall! The first one went into just sheetrock, second one broke his hand as he hit the stud/board! Instant karma!

  • @rahasanum

    most interior walls are just drywall and have gaps in-between studs (metal or wood/timber) the exterior walls or those that frame the house go from wood (timber) aka stick built or brick. very rarely are they manufactured sheet metal/foam combos. but things are changing with all of that. SOOO with this said yes, putting holes in walls that are interior walls (bathroom, closet, hallway) any wall that does not share contact to the outside of the home will be faily simple to put holes in. Drywall isn't that strong. You do have some older homes that may have shiplap (timber) or possibly plaster which are stronger and harder to punch holes in but those are harder to find for that construction is an older style.
    Keep up the fun vids and hope your move has been smooth. cheers.

    5:46 assuming from the hole in their wall, that is a drywall. Drywalls are wall average American walls are made of, and yes, for drywall it is super easy to put a hole in it. I would know because I had my foot on wall in my room while playing smb1 and mid run in 4-2 I accidently put a foot shaped hole in my wall, and now I have to spend 100$ to fix it.

    There are a few reasons why american houses are built how they are. 1. Wood is extremely abundant here so it's relatively easy to harvest and turn into a construction material. 2. It's cheaper because brick dries better in warm dry climates and the bulk of America is very damp (with the exception being a strip of desert east of the rocky mountains) 3. Brick tends to not hold up very well with earthquakes which are extremely common over most areas of America (their frequency and potency depends on where you are). Wood has pliability and moves with the earthquake so it's a built in defense mechanism.

    Hi, In America they use brick on the outside walls. And the inside walls are a wodden frame. With long 2 inch squaire wood going vertical from the floor to the ceiling about every 3 feet along the width of the wall. To keep them together. They have horizontal thinner pices of wood between the vertical upright pices of wood. Called ties as it tie the wood together. Then they nail onto the wood some plasterboard. Covering the whole wall. Then they cover it in a thin layer of plaster to hide the nail holes. When it is dry they paint it whatever colour the clinent wants. Where the fire is the also use bricks to stop the chimney for going on fire. Job done.

Wood on the other hand is a great insulator and I mostly survive the winter without a heater because the insulation is so damn good. I used to work at my Dad's gas station where I would go out and fill the tank FOR the customer (it was called Full-serve). Somebody parked next to the tank and I advised him that the fill tube was on the opposite side of the car. He proceeded to drive around to the other side of the pumps...but by doing this, the fill tube was STILL on the opposite side, so he did it again...and again a 4th time. Then he got angry with ME and drove off.

      Indeed, I remember some trick played on me by a girlfriend that left me with a sore nose afterwards, can't remember the exact rules - just kneel down, hands at your side and lean forward to 90 degrees or some shit. Girls can do it, despite their top-heavy nature, but guys can't for some reason.
