    • @JustinBMcBride
      @JustinBMcBride  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah, I use Maxtrax all the time!

    • @DC-ok6bk
      @DC-ok6bk 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@JustinBMcBride my observation of the built rigs and maxtraxs is that much of the time (when exploiting the capability of the enhanced vehicle) the driver fails to stop at a point where the maxtrax can still be an effective tool. Rather, they drive/dig in so deep they can’t be the recovery solution.
      In your example at this crossing where the last vehicle through has to overcome the ruts of the earlier vehicles, deploying the maxtraxs before turtling on the beach ledge was effective.
      Maybe you could do a piece on the 5 ways to get out of a situation like that, timing each to demonstrate the risk reward in being prepared. Thinking of 1) shovel and maxtraxs , 2) highlift jack and fill in rocks under the wheels, 3)winch off of a bush/anchor, 4) get a tug with a kinetic strap, 5) call Matt at MORR for a recovery

    • @gcarson19
      @gcarson19 ปีที่แล้ว

      @JustinBMcBride  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I’m not here saying the Jeep is a terrible machine. Quite the opposite. I loved my Jeep. There is no denying it - even if it was Ford who build them during WWII… but the opportunity to test a vehicle for free for a year as a Ford ambassador is a massive one for a channel my size and is something I couldn’t turn down. I’ll talk about it all in an upcoming video.
