Yes I think it’s under settings and event recording and you can have it record sounds or motion and it records till I think the motion/sound stops or up to a minute. That’s with no subscription idk you you pay how much longer
Thank you so much. One question, please: the camera cord on the Wyze Cam v3appears to be very short. Is there an extension cord of sorts that would enable the camera to be hooked up to, let's say, close to the underneath of the outdoor roof to an existing electrical outlet closer to the floor? What about if there's not an electrical outlet outside near where I want to place the camera? Are these cameras offered as wireless?

Question,, why where there is movement my Camara don't send me notifications?? Yes I already activated them supposedly!! I have another camera and that one send me notifications all time when there is a movement even from the screen from my tv🤷♂️

You have to get an outdoor one. The box has it in very small print: "...required for outdoor use". I don't have the outdoor one but it's likely that it's better protected against the elements (rain, wind, etc.) 😊
Have you ever had your new V3 cameras brick after the firmware update? I own 12 cameras and have setup about 20 for friends and family, I am not new to setting these up. My last 4 cameras bricked during the initial setup and I get a solid red light on the camera. Tech support from Wyze hasn't really worked for me. Any suggestions?

Yes, many people got fooled. And most reviewers are being paid or got it for free. They shut off the 12 seconds free & going to take your money. Once you agreed they/crook have access to cameras!
One of the best things I love about this camera is how much you get for the price you’re paying. Plus, I don’t mind that it’s not wireless and has to be plugged in to work because if you’re like me, you have outlets where you probably never ever use for anything anyways so you can have it plugged in forever and not have to worry about recharging the battery lol you also don’t have to use that cord provided. You can buy a different length of cord if need be depending on where you want your camera mounted.
Had these in my home for 4 years. Of the original 7, 2 still work. The other 5 have all been replaced twice. V3 is all trash and v1 are being updated into cardiac arrest. These are garbage cameras. They are a temporary solution at best. Oh and they regularly stop working for a period of time after most updates, and all the features are being removed and added to their monthly subscription plan. They even took away the ability for the camera to recognize any activity 5 minutes between recordings. Meaning they are completely useless for most applications.

Hi dear, I finished the settings of my V3 wyze cam, I see the live video on my phone, I'm able to record videos on my ad card manually, but the settings don't allow to turn on the motion setting, could you please tell why it doesn't ? I don't have this problem with my others V2 cameras, but with this one.
Does it only save a screen shot if you don't subscribe or does is show a short video? For my mother in law I am looking for something I can review the day but need say 10 seconds of video or something and not just a still image.
Pro tip: these are good for about 1-2 years before they become useless. At first they will stop responding to the app which will prompt you to "power cycle" them. This is just a way to keep you from calling them as it will not work. You need to "forget" that camera and go through the setup again. Then after a few months it will start saying it "cannot connect to wifi" and blame your modem or service for the issue, which is a lie. What is happening is the cheap components are failing, and once it says "cannot connect to wifi" the camera is done and needs to be replaced. This will happen in under 2-3 years at best after purchase. This is my expperience from owning a total of 14 over a 4 year period.

I do not want to continuously stream live video. I do want to record events and send event notifications to my cell phone. After receiving a notification I do want to be able to review the recorded video. How do I do all of that?
We have tried 2 of the Wyze Cam V3's and they have not connected to our 2.4 wifi. We have done chat with no answers no connection. We took it to our computer tech to see if she could connect to her wifi and the same was received. "Cannot locate network". Our wifi has hooked up other devices for 2.4 with no problem. By chance does anyone have an answer? We think the idea of this Cam is great but not if it doesn't work or isn't reliable. Please help if you can.

You get what you pay for! I had high hopes for these cameras. Does not "Works with Google" since I cannot view the live camera feed through Google Home on my Samsung Galaxy phone. And no matter how close I put the camera to my wireless modem/router, live video on HD is constantly freezing/unfreezing. My other cameras are Google Nest that do not freeze/unfreeze at 1080p. Back to the drawing board of selecting a camera manufacturer again. I might just continue to invest in Nest cameras.
Ive been using the pan camera. So when its running neutral theres a blue light. But when someone is watching the video theres a red light that turns on. My red light kept turning on. Someone was watching us remotely. I started to do my research and alot of people have this problem. Its a very easily hacked camera. Other than that its good cam. Just be mindful someone will be watching you.

They work perfectly! With 3 of these cameras I can see every corner of the yard, and they were very easy to set up. Anyone knows how to set up to get ATG FREE 12 Second record? This is one the most scammed company, first free & then pay I don't mean using the microSD card or pay a fee. Just too many people willing to pay & say use the sd card.
@@ivanirizarry9421 Its a little more complicated.. Videos do record to an SD Card, But the EVENTS dont get saved there, which is where the subscriptions come in. Use the Free Plus Lite sub in services and add your cams to it, it'll be 12 seconds max, but its still free. With that said, make sure you set it to Continuous recording and not Events only, this is where a 128GB SD card is important, especially with how cheap they are nowa days.
This is not true. I have for of these setup around my house and one outside. They record motion with detection zones and save it to your internal SD card. Playback is all done on your phone with a slider bar. It couldn't be easier. The payment option is used if you want to store your footage on the Wyze cloud servers.
@@scorpio4080 You're not understanding what im talking about. The EVENT CLIPS are not saved on the SD Card, only the LIVE FEED portion of the recording is saved to the card. In order to have the 12s EVENT CLIPS you have to be subscribed to the Free PLUS LITE subscription, if you want more than 12s clips then you have to pay.

I don’t know about the rest of you, but this app is a piece of garbage. So many times I am told to shut down the app turn the camera off and on because it just won’t connect and show me my video. I would never in 1 million years ever purchase this camera and this app. Click on the thumbnail and it takes you to a stupid screenshot so what’s the point it alerted me that there was a video to watch and it takes me to a screenshot. I have an old smart phone connected to another free app called Alfred home security that phone is further away from my Wi-Fi extender than this camera and yet I don’t have any issues getting my alerts or logging into the app to view my video footage
So much for a security cam. The whole security aspect of the cam can be defeated by simply stealing the camera and registering it to another account which nullifies the cloud footage of it being stolen!!!!!!!!!!! My advice if you ever purchase that camera put it WAAAAY out of reach and hope that your robbers don’t have a way to steal your camera when they come to rob you of your possessions. You have been warned.
