@@addictedtosliding I think ford need a comprehensive test done on the ranger as far as if you want to be the next Drift king but also gotta feed your horses.. Calder Park drift with 3 bales of hay 🤔
Looks fun. You have a huge weight disadvantage though. However (my advise), stop surging your throttle. Keep it steady and avoid letting off. Also, curves are deceptive. Find the straightest line through them with the least turning possible. Having said that, great job.
Dont do a track day. New Raptor at The Bend Motorsport Park retired early ......2 sessions out of 6.... with a rear diff . By jingo, it was BLOODY fast though. Probably an experienced driver by the look of it, had all the racing lines and brake markers sorted. I was in my FGX Turbo Sprint with Pedders X and a mild tune and struggled to catch it. My first time on track though.
That shouldnt be enough to overheat the brakes. I guarantee you that esp was still somewhat active and was working non stop on the brakes overheating them.
In Baja mode ESP off is ESP off. There's no temp sensor on the brakes so it guesses depending on how the car is being driven and the warning is there to ensure you don't actually cook the brakes.
Most runs were stock pressures, dropped them to 26psi for the last couple of runs. It actually rotates really well for the sort of vehicle it is but it's still 2600kg on a loose surface so changing direction is tricky.
It would be interesting to see how far up the field it could get in a proper rally. Keeping the tyres and in particular the brakes alive would be the challenge.
Great. Now I want a ranger raptor 😅
Yes, yes you do.

Thanks mate. Great feedback, sounds like I need to do another Raptor video!

Yep. The Ranger Raptor is many things, but a track car it is not
that looks so fun holy shit, cant wait to get a 4x4
Do it!
Now a hand brake you could use would make a difference maybe?
It wouldn't hurt, though to be honest you can set it up pretty well with the brakes

Is the Ranger under steering during braking? Stock pressures? Seems like it needs grip in the front so the rear will rotate.

That looks like alot of fun
It is a lot of fun!
Next sliding sir Toyota Hilux grs for competitive in this car for 2023-2024 pls thankyou
I'll put it on the list!
Tyre pressures??
Factory for most of the day, dropped them slightly to 28psi for the last couple of runs
It just show that you don't need to be a professional to have fun in one of these track ready beasts. Imagine if you were????
