Visiting Romania is on my bucket list, and in a way I'd love to live there at least for a while. I have many friends there that I would love to meet in person. Right now I am very worried for the political future, trying to wait and see how the second round goes. I'm praying for you guys. 🙏🙏🙏
I'm really tired of scary elections and even scarier presidents. I'm hoping like crazy Romania ends up with a better end result than we have here in the US. Regarding moving to Romania, I wish it were a little easier to stay for extended periods of time than it is. It seems to be really easy if one happens to have a nice IT related resume, but I didn't make those wise kinds of life choices unfortunately. I've only ever had blue collar type jobs. But, at the moment I'm mostly coasting on a bit of savings while I try to straighten out some health issues. Savings that could just as well rent a flat in a Romanian city for a year or two, and get spent there rather than here. But, to my heartbreak, lol, it seems self sufficiency and private health insurance are not enough to get permission to stay past 90 days. So, I am here. Dreaming of being there. Perhaps someday. Provided the world doesn't burn down before I get it figured out, ofc. 🙄 🙈
