Step 4 - Remove brake caliper
Step 5 - Remove hub
Step 6 - Insert wheel bearing greaser and pump in grease
All done!
Reverse steps to reassemble!
Well I hope you found this video helpful on how to grease wheel bearings on side by side using a wheel bearing greaser. I demonstrated how this is done on my Polaris RZR 1000 but the steps are fairly similar between side by side machine like Can Am Mavericks etc.

I have the same dresser tool from Amazon, suggestion, pump 3 pimps, then rotate tot tool to the 3, 6 and 9 o'clock position and repeat since it only had one grease hole on the tool.
Good tip! I will do that next time! Thanks 😊
Great video,be nice to say what size sockets they are especially the castle nut
Glad you enjoyed! I will have to check the size. Depends on the year and model of the machine your running. I would check your owners manual to be sure.

When using a torque wrench, pull only on the handle.
I'll keep that in mind! Thanks 😊
Thanks for the video. Can you tell me what size the socket is for the castle nut? Cheers
I believe it's 1 1/16th
@@JMGENTERPRISES Thank you.
I have 2022 Polaris ultimate rzr trail 900
Just bought it back in August 2021, would I need the 44m bearing greaser
Yes, I believe the 44mm works with the 900. Check out SuperATV's website as they have a 44mm greaser and it says it fits 900's.

You bet and thank you!
Is thats grease good for driving in water a lot?
Yes, the grease I use is water repellent. Always good to pack your wheel bearings if you submerge your bearings underwater a lot.
I just did this. My passanger side tire spins harder then my driver side when Jacked up u think it's a bad bearing,
A bad bearing would be my guess.
@@JMGENTERPRISES figured thanks man appreciate the response
@@13salinaspride Best of luck!
Just heads up pre grease it before you start so u don't get air in the bearing
Thanks for the tip!
These are sealed bearings you are just greasing the hub
I was told differently. I'll have to look into it
There’s a cut out in the center of the inner bearing race. The little hole lines up with that cut out. The outer bearing race is one piece.
@@jamesdakis3437 Good to know!
Heads up. Polaris does not recommend adding any grease to these bearings at all. They come sealed with grease in them and adding more grease can actually destroy or shorten their life like what happened to me. Too much grease is a bad thing. Advise, inspect at 5000 miles and replace if needed.
I haven't heard of that before. Thanks for sharing
Cars run same type of bearings but they arent submerged in mud and water everyday..thats why ya absolutely have to grease those bearings.polaris wants you to buy new bearings..
Mine are not sealed….
That’s because Polaris would love for the bearings to fail so you have to buy new ones from them!
Yes there IS truth to this. In a perfect world, leave them alone. I have worked on so many of these it’s crazy. Yes, too much grease is a bad thing. You can actually cause a premature failure that way. But this is an excellent idea for these rigs. I work in industrial maintenance and we do vibration analysis and read with vibe pens and temp guns and you can see failures from not enough grease or too much grease. BUT, too much grease or the wrong grease is usually better than NO grease.
You used too much grease. over grease the bearing it pops the seal and water wears them out quicker
Thanks for letting me know! I will keep that in mind for future greasing sessions.
Ya know what sucks, they build these nice machines but from the frame out they are crap.front diffs suck axles suck and bushings and bearings are horrible..and brakes and pads suck too.
Guy i know the a arm broke and bout killed him broke his face.he tried sueing polaris for bills and they said bc of tires they wasnt liable..28” mud tires
I hear ya and agree
Don't drive like an idiot and they seldom break...
