The Marvel Rivals survey: How dissatisfied are you with **the similar game** mentioned in the previous question? TOOK ME OUT. An opportunity to dump on the state of Overwatch? Say less🤣🤣🤣
You literally picked "similar game" is Asks you for what similar game do you play. It wasn't dumping on overwatch at all, they are learning from others mistakes which is important
That's how Chinese game companies gets people to play their derivative games. "Look at what the awful western company is doing, now look at this product, it's [thing] without [thing you dont like]." Transparent, but, it works on some people. And that's enough. Spilo correctly note that Marvel Rivals can only run because Overwatch walked. It owes its existence and playerbase to the original game and Marvel IP. It's an amalgation not unlike AI randomly assembling things through market forces than any kind of passion or heart.
@@narutoaccount24 yea, and that’s fine by me. All these surveys do this. I just thought it was hilarious in this case because there has been so much direct rivalry and dissatisfaction with OW

Rivals needs to bring in some huge fan-favourite characters as Tank/Supports so people actually want to play those roles. If people want to instalock DPS because they love Spiderman or Wolverine, we need people instalocking Tank/Support because they want to play Thanos, Deadpool, Miles/Gwen, etc.
They missed a huge opportunity with Wolverine not making him a tank, he honestly plays more like a Tank than a dps in the first place. I would play him a lot more if he were a vanguard
Ive read thousands of marvel comics. My view on this game could be biased. You dont think that characters like thor, strange, hulk, are huge fan favorites? Im loving this game overall btw
@@rainer9931 I disagree. How would you make him a tank? No shield. No big explosive moves like a super dive. Normal human size. Wolverine is fine as a melee dps designed to kill tanks primarily. We just need more vanguards rn that people want to play and maybe add a little spice to current vanguards. I’m sure there are PLENTY of Marvel bigs that they can add to the game.
You also want to save highly requested heroes for future content releases. Having every highly renowned Marvel hero out of the gate will mean everything afterwards will be less interesting. Making a good first impression is important, but you don't want the trajectory of your game to only be downwards after launch.
I feel that more than Marvel Rivals surpassing Overwatch 2, i think it is more that Overwatch 2 failed the fans. No PVE, No hero Balance, everything is focused on skins, no free content, same boring events.
Overwatch 2 is doing fine right now, it only lost around 5k players on steam and it’s already getting them back And marvels rivals isn’t better in most of these aspects, the game has the same monetization as Overwatch (no free skin either)
Yeah I stopped buying skins in Apex after abit when I realized when its set to "random favorite" that I rarely even knew what skin I was in or forgot by the time I got in the game.
I have two issues with balance in this game. Hela and Hawkeye being the strongest heroes that kill almost anyone in one second. I see them literally in every single game on both side. Dive against them is almost impossible because of their crazy damage, escapes and the second issue: support sustain, mainly how stupidly fast their ultimates are generated. Every single time when I ult their Mantis and Luna have their two Domain Expansions: Infinite Health for 12 seconds.
Nerf the healing, and I think hela/hawkeye would balance themselves out. Like you said the issue is the sustain, and dive players haven’t even mastered their characters yet. Psylock is still far more busted than any dps at the moment, she actually needs a direct nerf.
i immediately noticed the healing output was insane after the second game. no one was playing support my first game but the second game there was 2 supports and i was going in with black panther i’d turn around and their hp was back to full.
Another great thing about Rivals is that if you want to know more about the characters there’s so much lore and content to go through . There’s some really good channels that cover stories and events about these characters .
They need Doctor Octopus as a vanguard and Green Goblin as a duelist. Can think of so many more awesome characters. They just need a few more tanks and supports
Green Goblin should be strategist and his bombs should be like Ana nades. They heal teammates and damage enemies. He should also be the first character with an anti heal ability
I think thr balance early on is going to be just make tanks and supports feel better to play i think they are balanced but man standing there being a big meat bag and not having very many if any big play opportunities sucks
The game brought back the 2016 - 2018 Overwatch feeling. I can tell the devs wanted to go in that direction in terms of designs and such because those were the great times in Overwatch.
This game needs a group voice chat. Was playing with a shy friend, didn’t know there wasn’t a group voice, got put in team chat and they were talking And didn’t realize they were being listened to until a rando responded. Bro didn’t say a word till the game was over. Then we went to discord. 😂
@@mattdavis9079 …which is discord. Having a group voice chat separate from your team is stupid. If you only want to talk to your friends then make a party chat or discord.
The game is awesome. Gameplay is excellent and servers are actually amazing. Really excited for the future of the game. With the marvel ip the potential is almost endless. Honestly a little bittersweet being a long time Overwatch player because right now I don't see myself going back for a while
Yeah, struggling with this too as an OW player. I've stopped playing after a brief return for season 9 since I can't stand 5v5. Now that 6v6 is coming for a test, I wanted to give it another shot but finding myself not particularly motivated because I'm playing Rivals every night right now and feel like that's more than enough to scratch the itch for a hero shooter. Feel like the 6v6 really came a little too late.
@ also hot topic.. I like that there isn't a role q. The instant queue times are so refreshing. I don't have the free time that I use to and the 4-5 minute queues in overwatch suck.
@@123Suffering456Just log on. I did it yesterday. Saw the same winter skins re colored for the however many years. New tank is meh. Like its not even worth it. Its really depressing going from rivals back to ow. Not to mention the content and possibilities for rivals is endless. Its something to look forward too. What does ow have to look forward to? Another recolored ana skin?
It does make me wonder what people want a strategist to do when it comes to healing. People want enough healing that they can make a play but they don't want enough healing to keep them from making a play on something else. Loki has to set up clones in proper places to get his burst healing then they need to be up long enough for him to get value yet people still complain he heals too much when he jumps through those hoops properly. No one is going to want to perform like a seal in a pool with a ball balanced on their nose to do a minimal amount of healing to the point they were better off damaging the threat over healing an ally a majority of the time. I think thats what people are after but thats not why most people pick to play a support in games most of the time.
Sup AeroStrafe. Yeah I think there’s 2 issues combined that make it a weird balance to strike. 1. Rivals is actually so much faster than OW, I’ve heard people call it slow but I don’t get that. Supports need to be able to quickly heal while the opportunity is there before their teammate flies off. I haven’t played much ranked (my pc loads me in sometimes a minute into the round), but in QP my experience has been people don’t really group. Sure we may start grouped but the reality is everything is so mobile and “super” you’re not going to have your teammates conveniently bundled together in your LOS on support. 2. Open queue means supports may find themselves solo healing, I think both that player and their teammates want to be able to solo heal viably, but in the chaos I mentioned before, this means they need to heal a lot. The issue comes up when you actually have 2 supports focus healing a target, it becomes impossible to pierce the healing.
@@GraphiteBlimp27 That is the tough part overall. I think if two support are pocketing something then you are getting value of the rest of that team is no longer getting as much healing. People don't like that kind of value though since its not a visible kill for them and relies on your team to take advantage which often doesnt happen. I will say if one dps can kill a target through two supports pumping heals into it then thats also just as bad. If one duelist can kill through two pockets then that duelist is impossible to stop from within the strategist section less you just CC them or somehow outfight them.
@@GraphiteBlimp27hey I had the long pc loading time too. To fix the issue you have to install the game directly to your hard drive instead of downloading it to your external ssd
I don’t main support but I play support in almost every game I play (league, ow, rivals, ect) I don’t enjoy playing to healbot, I love being able to provide meaningful utility, and making plays. I think supports should be designed to make plays through big utility, like Cloak blinds and wraith, ana nades, lucio’s amp, and in league playing characters like thresh who can set up kills for his team on a golden platter. I think healbotting is boring to play as AND against, and I think if supports were made to be more so characters with UTILITY, decent but not best of the class dueling, and maybe some healing baked into there somewhere instead of “let me pump my sometimes auto aimed healing into you from timbuktu and turn my brain off” then support would be a way more fun role in general. I think there should be perhaps a few easy “healbotty” sups like Jeff, but Jeff will never outmatch c&d’s usefulness in the hands of a good player. Majority of sups should be c&d’s and lucio ana zens, and less moira LW’s and Jeffs
@@GraphiteBlimp27 which isn’t a problem, if two healers are focused on one target you shouldn’t be able to kill them, but that means you’re occupying 3 people on the other team so in theory the other 5 people on yours should be able to make a play
6:00 Thank you! Self heal as a mechanic was by far one of the best things that happened to Overwatch 2. In a game where characters are really powerful and feel self sufficient, I think that mechanic would make the game even better. Team- up abilities also encourage people to play different roles. I really don't think role lock in needed.
I don’t necessarily disagree but I think if they add self healing then nobody will ever play support because we still get 1 or 0 support games even without it
@@brodrickbaker People also thought it would make supports less relevant in OW, but they will always be useful because of sustain mid fight. That's the part that matters the most.
I think this mechanic is godawful, it dumbs down the whole structure of the genre. Poke, dive and brawler, then you have tank, dps and healers who falls on these categories... if you let all of them self-heal, that not only diminishes the healers, but also incentivize people even more to pick 6 dps. This mechanic should be avoided at all costs imo, only few characters can actually self-heal (which is ironic, considering the horrendous Wolverine design)
@@RRRRRRRRR33 as a tank/support player, I genuinely think they should have leaned into everyone basically being a DPS. Majority just want to kill things and don’t want to play as a team anyway, so instead of trying to force people to play tank/support to make the game work, just give in and allow 6 DPS work. It would lose everything that made it fun for me (tank synergy/combos/teamwork) but would satisfy DPS player who want basically deathmatch
@@RRRRRRRRR33 Damn, you make it sound like it's a perma mercy pocket. I can tell you it has definitely not made supports any less relevant in OW and when it comes to 6 DPS, trust me people WILL play 6 DPS no matter what, even with role lock, because they don't want to heal. Thats why OW designed more and more Duelist Supports with braindead abilities and also butchered a lot of the Heroes' identities. As a supp player myself, I've wanted self heal since OW1 and I want it again as soon as possible in Rivals.
''honey moon'' phase people are weird. When a game has huge problems you see it right away. OW didn't had a ''honey moon'' phase, Blizzard fucked it up as it was going.
@@soma03678 People are more willing to overlook issues when it's fresh and new. That's what that phrase means. Once it's your everyday game, and not a new release, we will see how it feels
Ah, always can count on some person on the internet oversimplifying a complexity of interactions in a system into some smooth-brained, brain-rot one liner that makes no sense and gives no valid representation of what the game has achieved in creating.
I can understand sustain being too high and to a point I agree, but there are games in D2-D1 area where me and my second support will combine for over 100k heals and lose. And my point with that is that dps in this game do a lot of damage very quickly and sometimes it feels as though I literally cannot let go of left click or else my tank will die. So I feel like lowering it could lead to that season in ow2 where tanks would die instantly and it felt bad for both tanks and supports
supports in rival do damage as dpses while healing full hp in 1 second also having fast recharge ult with 10+ seconds of invulnerability in 10 meters radius and having control
My main problem is with the ults of mantis and luna being too long. With it being so fast paced, 12 seconds/8 seconds of not doing any damage is enough for the fight to be over Also with how fast the ults charge and if they coordinate using them at different times, you face them in 2 fights then have 1 fight where you can make a play then back to 2 more fights of facing those ults
Literally unless it's 6v6 all the tanks need to be able to survive getting nuked and having an orbital ray dropped on them because of how 5v5 works. Tanks by function need the other one to make them have depth and be interesting but until then you can't have that which sucks.
@@crystaleater2581literally. Their value is almost entirely on how long they can survive. They can rarely get solo picks, but every fight is over as soon as one tank dies. Tanks may as well just stand there looking at each other while the rest of the team fights lol it’s so one dimensional in OW2
you just bad in game, hog oneshots or isolte targets to win, ball kills players who out of position and distracting to make space, and hazard same as ball+hog(isolate players or killing out of position players)
@@MrCamiloX2890 yeah i just mean the people saying its unbalanced and not ever gonna be as good as peak overwatch, but we havent even seen a balance patch yet lol
I agree completely with you Sam. I seriously underestimated the Third-Person perspective and how refreshing it is for me personally. I'm still under a 100 hours but yeah most Vanguards aren't super fun to play back-to-back except Venom and Cap. Supports are all crazy fun to play but are absolutely way too strong; if they play it right, you aren't killing anything with most melee Duelist. Role Queue or Role Lock should only be in Competitive, not Quickplay imo. Last but definitely not least for me Let us swap shoulders when aiming PLEASE
I really want the devs to balance the game around casual. OW is just not fun casually and hasnt been for years, the only joy i get from that game is ranking up but thats been getting really really old for me too cause im getting to elojobber lobbies now and I just dont have the time to grind like they do. Marvel Rivals is at its best when no one knows whats going on and its just chaos, its how OW USED to feel for me. The second I hit comp with my friends the game started falling apart. Keep it fun over function imo
i mean as time goes on people learn how to play the game so running into a person that happens to shoot you back will always happen, With the current balance the game will be a wacky competitive scene so i do see the keep it fun part. Thats why i stay on qp. mind numbing fun. If i feel like playing comp i go to ow a game that takes itself more serious.
Overwatch set a competitive standard and then started going against that, but Marvel can go another direction if they want. They should just make up their mind and be transparent about it. They definitely should nerf the sustain, but other than that, I don’t mind how broken everything is because it’s most characters.
The sustain doesn't necessarily need to get nerfed, the ultimate charges yes 100%, but sustain itself is fine. There are so many game where people are just shit and unaware in plat and under, so the sustain makes no difference, while in higher ranks the biggest issue is the supports just have ults every fight because they can do so much in a fight. From damage boost, to debuffing, to healing, to damage themselves and so on.
I don't mind the game being easier mechanically, but good Lord, there are too many auto-targetting abilities and ults! That being said, give me GAMBIT! Dude's my favorite Marvel character! I can already imagine how sick his abilities would look!
I mostly agree. My biggest complaints with this game right now are the sustain, especially support ults like Luna and Mantis. They last so long and make the enemies unkillable. My other issue is the tank role. They feel basic and not impactful compared to OW tanks. Big slabs of meat that don't really do much besides soak damage.
@@Jamesington I've popped off on every tank aside magneto, if you're playing like a bullet sponge it's because your skill level is only that of a bullet sponge simple
My only complaint about the launch (that isnt balance related) is that matches shouldnt feel so unfair this early in the game when it comes to player skill level, due to the test not limiting your time, it can almost feel like testers are cheating with how large the general gap in experience is. Nothing they can do about it now but I felt it really hard doing qualifiers and It killed my motivation to play out the rest of our matches.
People like dafran and classic ow2 Stockholm syndrome bots (just going to noobhunter comment section feeds my salt reserves for the day xD) will not be able to see how fun rivals can be, but in the end I feel bad for these victims. It's clear so many of them haven't even tried rivals and are huffing the copium. (Lol you're allowed to play what you want) like it or not the game hasn't been out for long and the care that the devs put into the game is so much more noticable, and I have an infinite amount of faith more in the balance team than that of blizzard, who have been repeatedly burning their game to the ground for the past 6 years
It’s fun game no doubt but it doesn’t have a good competitive balance. I’ll have to scratch the competitive itch elsewhere but the game is fun no doubt
Game is pretty fun but it just feels so clunky and i dont know after like 3 matches i get off lol Not that Overwatch right now is any better, but if it were 6v6 OW with pre Season 9 Health Pools id be on that shit daily But as it is right now yeah, rivals is probably better than OW, just doesnt scratch my itch like Peak OW does
"maybe they want everything to be broken" is nonsensical, if everything is broken that just establishes that a baseline power level and things that are broken beyond that will still be too strong and annoying to play against
Yeah this game is fun and balanced for sure. Jeff the shark eating 3 of the team mates and jumping off the map is really chill. Team up passives are not broken OP on some champs. Map design is really good. 👌
There needs to be a trade off for AOE heals. Look at Lucio, he pumps out AOE heals but the trade off is that he can’t pocket a single character effectively. Dagger should not be able to pump out max heals with the bubble/window combo on the ENTIRE team. Healing can either be effective to single targets or groups, it can’t be both.
Healers can be that crazy because the dps are also crazy, Winter Soldier with 3 shots instead of 2 is just pure insanity lol Hela, Hawkeye, Psylocke, etc.. they are all overtuned. Black Panther can clean house with just his cooldown resets. Lots of fire power and healing in this game, not much tanking. Jeff and Iron Fist are a menace at lower ranks, Jeff resembles day 1 Brigitte, insane rewards for braindead abilities, the swimming is instantaneous, no cooldown or anything, it self heals, defense buff, speed buff, lol main fire is super fast, Jeff can spread 5 bubbles in less than a seconds, etc.. Brigitte is rolling on her grave
@@RRRRRRRRR33 agreed the dps in this game especially compared to overwatch, or any other game is just super crazy. if anything tanks need buffs because they feel very weak in comparison
@@Bighoodiekid Yep, they should either nerf Hela, Hawkeye, WS, Jeff, etc.. Nerf them to the ground or buff the tanks HP. Groot for example, he should have 1000HP, Bubble Hulk (I hate his lack of authenticity smh) should have 900HP and so on. And of course, remove the "anchor" team up crap, micro buffs should be active if the pair is actually playing together, not a passive
I want Role Queue because I'm sick of playing Competitive with 5 Duelists spamming "I need healing" and losing. Even the strongest strategists can't sustain that.
I believe the role that would suffer the most from support nerfs is actually tanks. They're not really that strong, and even some of the more tanky ones like a strange or a groot just fall over if they're not getting healed
@@ramslife7295Its mostly an Unreal Engine 5 optimization issue. I remember when another popular UE5 game, Wuthering Waves released and just like Rivals, it was an unstable, memory leaking mess... Also another important detail? Both games use Tencent's anticheat which has a crazy CPU footprint on its own
I think an approach they should consider is, similar to your proposal to nerf healing if a team is running triple support, is to go in the opposite if a team is only running one of a certain role. If a team only has one support, give that support a boost to healing; one tank gets a boost to health, dps gets a boost in damage. Might be a terrible idea, but hey, better than immediately just resorting to role locking like with OW and potentially making all the same mistakes.
Eh the game feels nothing like overwatch to me, just feels like paladins with some overwatch hero design tendencies Definitely not replacing overwatch the game is just too different, and the tank + support design is buns I’m sorry it’s facts (Besides Loki and Thor)
Is there a problem with having role lock in comp and keep casual games as is. Because that stops the triple support spam in high elo and also keeps the current casual situation the same, especially if you add global regen to casual (maybe comp too) Could do 1, 3, 2 role lock to encourage more proactive play
I'm having as much fun with Rivals as I initially did with Deadlock. We'll see how we're feeling in a month or so, but Rivals has so much life in it right now that I can't see it losing steam yet, especially with winter events coming out too.
people were saying that it would flop BECAUSE it was tied to marvel. saying nobody likes marvel, superhero fatigue, yadda yadda. copium goes a long way!
If they wanna keep it fun casual then they should buff everything. For instance, Hulk's ult is so bad. There's no way people survive after getting grabbed and beaten to death by The Hulk.
@@BlueMadness666666 I agree the Q-Q is utter garbage, but the buffs offered by Q are already good IMO Its probably still decent if Q-Q is removed I will gladly trade it for both transform times shortened
With what they've said about their balancing strategy for the future if they were to tackle the sustain issue their solution would probably be to lower the time to kill by buffing everyone's damage.
Samito, you need a different green screen background to differentiate rivals from Ow videos. Would be great to see a difference in your background based on content.
Been loving this game, makes me remeber old overwatch like 2016-2018 enjoyment. I believe they should really tap into just making every character feel overpowered and keep buffing people. One of the worst feelings in overwatch is seeing your main just get nerfed.
"One of the worst feelings in overwatch is seeing your main just get nerfed." Thats the reason i stoped playing overwatch totally. Wasnt a big fan of Overwatch 2 but after they took the one shot from Hanzo i was done with the game.
I wouldnt necessarily say that, if youre main is defining the Meta and has a 100% pickrate they deserve to be nerfed. Balance just happens in competitive online games, and while some heroes get over-nerfed its not a bad thing and people who complain about their OP Main getting nerfed just suck lol
@@noahbernstein5536 That was so stupid, especially since they now brought it back after he felt horrible to play. They could have had 1 Playtester tell them "Hitting a Headshot on Hanzo and not killing feels ass" but no they just nerfed him anyway
While i do think Marvel Rivals is pretty fun, it doesnt hook me like OW did and at its peak i think Overwatch is miles better than Rivals. Right now with 5v5 and the horrible balancing i feel like Rivals is better, but if they return to 6v6 in the future i dont see myself playing Rivals. The Feedback on Damage, Healing and Kills dont feel Satisfying to me, getting multiple Elims in OW back to back is hype but i dont know it just doesnt seem impactful in Rivals. At the moment, the Game doesnt need that much Teamwork, you often can just do what you want, granted in a few months this could change when people learn the game but it doesnt feel like team work is that necessary, some of the most fun in OW comes from teamplay so thats something i dislike in rivals. Another thing is, some Hero Designs are just pretty boring, I used to main tank in OW1 and most OW Tanks are way more simplistic than Rivals Tanks but they just feel better to play and are more fluid, the tanks in rivals have very bloated kits or play Clunky. Thor who is actually my favourite of the tanks, doesnt even feel good because of his cooldwon cycle resetting to 1sec when you use Dash or throw Mjolnir. But a Hero like winston who only has a Jump and a Bubble makes me enjoy myself way more when playing, his kit has less stuff but it feels like i can do more with it. Also, even though there are some Heroes with huge Skill expression like Psylocke or Spider-man, basically every ult in the Game is so low skill its insane. 12 Ults just spawn a Circle that you have to click, basically every ult is some kind of AoE Damage or AoE Healing or it just buffs your character. Not one ult in Rivals is as Skillful as a Dragonblade or a Tracer pulse imo. I also learned i like this game as casual game more than ranked game, i won like 15 ranked games back to back and they were pretty chill, but then i got into a gold 1 lobby were people tryharded and i enjoyed the game 10x less which is weird because i love tryharding in Overwatch. Maybe its because the balance is so whacky but i dont see this game becoming big competitively it could be a big casual game though. Overall i hope its a healthy competitor to Overwatch and makes Blizzard actually fucking try for once, but i dont see myself playing this in like 3-6 Months from now.
I’m real curious to see people’s opinions in a few months once everyone figures out the broken stuff and gets bored of the simple kits and not having a tank/support every game. But I’ll be real I don’t understand all the shitting on OW. I genuinely think it might be in its best state ever for me personally. Balance is great, I can literally pick any hero and do great. A few are too easy to get value on/are annoying but nothing major. Map changes are good. New game modes. I like the new heroes. Clash, Mauga, and the two reworks have been the biggest failures imo.
i definitely agree on the impact thing, idk if it's visuals or sound or ui or a combination of all 3 but things just don't "feel." im playing a lot of deadlock atm and comparatively theres just substantially less of that subjective rush in rivals when you do something good (and obviously ow for all of its problems has that department on lock)
@@DJWolfHouse Best State? To me not even close 5v5 is one thing, but i dont need to bring that up it has so many issues and stuff that makes it unfun i would be typing 100 paragraphs on why it sucks Other than 5v5, just the Season 9 patch that increased Health Pools and hitboxes ruined the game even more, they screwed many Heroes with the breakpoint changes, hitscan dominate the game all the time (eg. Widow, Soj, Ashe, etc.) and it just lowered variety in heroes All the Heroes permanently get buffs or other changes that lower their skill requirement which makes the game cater to lower skill players instead of earning being good at a Hero for example - Bap got 30% recoil reduction - Lucio falls faster during ult so he cant die as easily - Illari Ult explosion got bigger The Balance team does stuff like this all the time, but this doesnt make people come back and play and to those who still play its really annyoing But overall Overwatch is a very polished game and even if i hate 5v5 and what its done to the game the Heroes are still amazing
You’re being hyper critical over the launch patch of the game. Are we forgetting how bad the launch patch of overwatch was? We literally just had an event for it. It’s more likely the overwatch cope is kicking in when they’ve wasted their chances for so many years now.
I have about 20 hrs in rivals so far and it is a TON of fun, that being said there are also fundamental problems I have with it, it really lacks competitively of Overwatch, I feel like it’s a big chaotic fight 100% of the time, which is fun but that’s it, me personally I want to grind a game that’s super competitive, I feel like a lot of people are going to leave for that same reason too. Also the graphics kill your fps and I’m on the lowest setting on a gaming laptop
Strategist class should be a hybrid between damage and healer. Not insane heals and not insane damage. Enough damage to be able to 1v1 a duelist if they use their kit right, and not insane sustain heals (i win button) where they can just press a button and be untouchable for half a year. When the heals aren't too insane in the game it means Vanguard and Duelists can get picks because the damage amount can out damage the heals if focused long enough or caught a target off guard. This means that those who like Duelists can also find enjoyment in playing Vanguard & Strategist because they too would work as "damage dealers" that can score eliminations.
I don’t hope Marvel rivals necessarily kills Overwatch but I do hope it’s a wake up call. I’m tired of Team 4 Blizzard releasing slop accompanied by terrible overpriced skins and calling it a day.
Dude the skins in Rivals and the skins in overwatch are basically the same price. I don’t get why people complaint up and down about a skin they don’t have to buy being “too expensive” it has nothing to do with gameplay which is actually why you play a game
@@brycenb2994 I mean you can actually see your skin due to Marvel being 3rd person, but that's not my point. The point is, Blizzard is prioritizing cosmetics over meaningful gameplay changes.

You’re being completely disingenuous with a bad faith argument but that’s to be expected coming from a single celled orgsnism like you. If you’re smart enough to follow along. Let’s compare apples to apples. Marvel rivals currently in the shop has a Thor bundle for 22 dollars that come with a highlight intro, emote, skins and spray. The guardians bundle is 45 dollars and comes with 4 skins 4 sprays 4 emotes and 4 highlight intros. In the overwatch shop currently is the polar road hog. That comes with a skin, emote , player icon, spray and weapon charm. Guess how much it costs? 21 bucks. Similar skins in the shop are priced at 22 dollars. The my hero collab which costs 49 dollars came with 5 skins 3 highlight intros 5 victory poses 2 emotes and multiple sprays and voice lines. This trend holds true for almost all collabs with the le seraphim collab having even more content at the same price. Maybe try to have some idea of what you’re talking about before you go criticizing something
@@PoolGyall5441 they aren’t tho. The cosmetics and balance team are two SEPARATE departments. There is a collab and new skins EVERY season. If anything they are putting more resources into balance than ever before with test events specifically to gauge how people want to play the game and multiple interviews talking about balance and future plans.
They could add another percent based damage character like wolverine. Where the damage starts multiplying based on total damage done. Eventually it will breakthrough the sustain healing.
Sustain is strong imo due to long range burst damage so if that was turned down and sustain was turned down you would hit that goldie locks zone. Not big changes were all healing is reduced by 50%, but maybe 10-20%. Small steps towards an end goal is the best way.
The best thing about Marvel Rivals is the clear POTENTIAL. Because its the most popular IP, we all know possible characters that can drop: Ghost Rider, Silver Surfer, Thanos, Ultron... infinite choice. THat thought alone gets Me hyped.
I’m telling you if they add hulkbuster iron man as a tank there will be so many players for that role. Plus Thanos can come out as a tank for a content release and I know the thing is on the way too, soooo much potential it’s insane
Rivals brought back a spark that was lost in overwatch 2. Rivals has all these crazy moments that I see people post that don’t happen in ow2 anymore because 5v5 doesn’t let you be creative. Let’s see if blizzard actually make 6v6 good or if overwatch is even salvageable anymore. Only critique honestly is that they did the same thing as overwatch where they got like 7 or 8 tanks and supports and like 17 damage. Of course damage is gonna be most played because those characters combined have a bigger fan base. Either way I’m having fun on rivals and my two most played heroes have moon in both their names.
I agree with the support issues. There was one match where literally my entire team was shooting at dagger and she just stayed at full health didn’t even drop below half. She was healing herself and I think it was a mantis healing her so it was nutty and we lost the game because of that.
I agree, the healing does need to be toned down a touch, I didn't notice it as an issue but now i've started to get through the ranks a little more (currently platinum), it has become abundantly clear that there is no point in me playing heroes like punisher when hawkeye and hela exist.
Yeah, I was someone who was sleeping on this game. Not a Marvel fan so they didn't get me there, I wasn't very sure about the 3rd person, and I just wanted Overwatch to be better. But I finally tried Marvel Rivels the other day and I fell in love. As much as I hate it, it's better than Overwatch in so many ways and I actually uninstalled Overwatch yesterday because I just don't see any reason to play Overwatch over Marvel Rivals now.
im really not a fan of high sustain because it makes goats viable and makes you have no need for DPS, this is also why I really don't like the idea of giving support more of a damage dealing role because again, it makes DPS irrelevant. Even now Cloak and Daggers suck damage is better than Scarlet Witch suck, and Mantis has better damage dealing potential than a good chunk of the DPS roster. feels too muddy.
Nah that’s different. Brig makes goats viable. People tried to force goats in this game but it doesn’t work because this game doesn’t have a Brigette type character
I've been enjoying Rivals a lot as well, but I'm going to spam 6v6 queues in Overwatch when it launches, and I hope you will too. I really want to see others' thoughts on that mode once it starts.
9:44 bro you cooked so hard in this video but especially here. As a strat main, I’ve been telling people Strategists are very OP and as soon as people start to figure it out we are going to have another GOATS problem. I played a game of 3VAN/3SRT and it was nigh-impossible to get a kill. I’d imagine a well coordinated and high skilled team would be a nightmare. Even as often as I have to solo heal it’s crazy how easy I can sustain 5 people as long as they do their job with good positioning and cover.
As a vanguard(Peni/Magneto) player I think they need to make Strategists a little bit more interesting; not so that I personally can play them but instead so that others want to. Many healers are just click and shoot heros and I think a dive based healer would be great. I agree heavily with a passive heal during non-combat situations.
I love the 3rd person but it does need some work. You can be hit from someone you can't see but they can see you and that's a bit of a problem, maybe allow us to swap from left and right shoulder perspectives at will.
I wish there was a l4t option where you can browse potential teams to join, so if someone's an auto-lock punisher who is going 0-4 I don't gotta have him on my team.
Imagine if task master worked like villager in smash and just yoinked other peoples abilities and like he has no abilities at the start of each round and you basically make your own character as the match goes on. Maybe give him a double jump so he has something and then his ult would be something tbh idk what to do.
I think the healing has to be super high because the game is so chaotic and the hitboxes are huge. If you can't heal to full, you will explode pretty quickly
Add thanos, and its instantly a master piece. I want to punch people as thanos doesnt need to be any more complicated make me big purple titan man who punches stuff. They somehow missed huge fan favourites while including the main streams ones as well. Who on earth wanted luna snow or psylocke over thanos? His infinty war saga comic is one the highest selling and biggest events comics ever. They add all the gurdains of the galaxy but not draxx? Where is dare devil or galactus? Where is dead pool? Ant man? Ghost rider? Silver surfer? They choose a really weird cast overall. If they wanted their game to explode even more why not go whole hog and make all popular characters first then the mote niche stuff.
They probably didn’t want to go all out on release to where there won’t be asmuch excitement going forward, like you mentioned when they release Thanos it’ll be huge and get people excited again if they pair that with some sick cosmetics it’ll be even bigger.. it’s gone be great 😂
My main gripe is lack of rewards for winning a match, I should get 10 of that purple currency if I lose a game or 20 if I win, I'm at a point where there's nothing to do other than to farm dailys.
It’s a fun game without the ability to kill overwatch. As far as sustain comps they could have team ups that make two support two dps meta or something like that
I was hating on this game at the start due to its optimization issues and weird mobile esque graphics but after playing it for a while its been really fun!!, the only downside is that this game reminds me of OW1 with the giga sustain my god i hate mantis broken ass support tbh
Vanguards - For the range that they play at which is close to medium, they should do more damage. Captain America needs a Damage Buff with his dive, charge, and shield throw. Dive and charge should go from 30 to 50, the shield throw needs the not have damage falloff per ricochet. If can make it bounced between enemies then everybody getting hit for 70. Hulk needs some more sustain. I say just make his bubble infinite healthy like Magneto Shield? It doesn’t even last that long. Also, increase the range on giving teammates bubbles bc it is laughably too close. Strategists - I think the healing needs to be tuned down. Mantis gets way too much free value for just throwing a heal on someone and forgetting about it. Meanwhile Luna, Jeff, and Dagger have to at least somewhat focus a teammate to heal them. Their Ultimate are really what the big problem is Luna having a 12 SECOND Transcendence is ridiculous and Mantis has Beat. I think for those two specifically they should increase the Ult Charge for it.
All the negatives with this game where right 3rd person is 100% ass for a game like this. Frame cap of 240 is ass. very crappy game engine performance is also ass even with an RTX 4090. Can be fun even with those negatives but competitive should not be taken seriously and should not even have a competitive mode at all because of the negatives. Most of the Overwatch streamers have abandoned overwatch for this pile of shit. Yeah, Overwatch has problems but the foundational things like a game engine is not at all part of it like it is here. but what do you expect from the Chinese company that ripped off overwatch for all these years. Yeah NetEase was the company in China that screwed blizzard for all those years.
I spent 8 hours playing yesterday with friends, we went to bed a 3:00 Am, last time that happened was when Overwatch 1 was at his peak 2016/2017. I seriously hope they don’t fuck up this game the same way Blizzard fucked up.
my genuine thoughts as a new player to rivals; its a bit boring trying to learn all the hero kits and memorizing how they look/play, and understanding the map dynamics... but once you get that knowledge in, damn does this game flourish. the game has some mechanics in it that i think overwatch even should consider, like payload needing to be "Captured" to move it one way or the other, rival heros all seem to have SOMETHING that mimics overwatch, but each hero has their own unique identity. you can argue all you want that "They came before overwatch!" there are multiple ways of adding types of abilities in a game. tf2's bow and arrow plays COMPLETELY different from hawkeye but hanzo and hawkeye HAVE that similar feeling. its not bad to mimic overwatch, the fact captain america has a sprint button instead of just...being faster from the get go isn't a BAD thing. its good to take from your competition, its GOOD to have similar mechanics. hulk being a combo between d.va and winston isn't bad either, it makes him feel "Familliar" but unique. but hulk had MANY ways of implimenting him, hulk couldve been a cooldown, or bruce could not exist at all, but that similarity is GOOD TO HAVE. when people say "it feels like overwatch" that is NOT A BAD THING, and i think people take it the wrong way. fliers. rivals has by far the worst kind of fliers...and has TWO of them. "creative moders" and in all seriousness, they work. i don't look at them and think "oh great i can't do anything" its not like pharah where they two tap you, so its safe to not completely have to devote 3 out of 6 to countering them, one will suffice. the fact i can play cloak(a support) and manage to supress an ironman at LEAST enough that he doesn't freely kill my team is leagues above pharah as a concept. they are ironically a lot less mobile then other heros. so its pretty predictable to shoot at them. destructible objects...im torn on. genuinely, i think it might be better if destructables are just...permanently destroyed. its really disorientating seeing that giant green pillar pop out of nowhere to block your LOS. team bonuses are another thing i think overwatch should consider over role passives. sometimes they don't do much, but its a cool way to get specific heros to work together, and encourage swapping and discourage counter swapping.
I think in order to tune down sustain you would need to tune down damage as well tho cus unless you are pumping heals into someone they blow up in a second Less sustain only works if there is less dmg to allow supports that window to do anything else but heal. If we tone down dmg then we can talk toning down healing If you tone sustain without touching dmg things just get blown up with 0 way to prevent that dmg and the game is just deathmatch
I feel like only the heals and dps got the super op ults and kits while they made vanguards as mostly walking punching bags. Some of the tanks have some gameplay design.
It's still about it. He's so butt hurt about state of OW, he will praise this game even when it become worse then OW.. I can bet my ass if OW goes to 6v6 with all new content and heroes. Ppl would instantly leave this game. Ayleast the majority of streamer s who play OW
You echoed a lot of the problems I have with the game, but are much more optimistic. I've been an Overwatch tank player since launch, and the tanks in this game are just not that fun. Venom and Cap are my favorite, but with broken poke DPS like Hela and Hawkeye, and giga supports with insane ults, mobility, and CC at the top of the meta they just feel useless. What isn't useless are the boring, meat slab tanks like Groot and Dr. Strange. Even Magneto who is one of my most played just doesn't feel as satisfying as Sigma, though his ult is definitely cooler. I'm positive if I wasn't locking tank or support every single game, most of them would be 4 dps, and I don't even blame the players. I can't tell which is more dire, the fact that the devs looked at Overwatch's struggles and decided on this absurd ratio of Duelists over the other roles, or the potential that the Marvel IP limits the amount of characters that COULD fit in the other roles. And then let's make healing insanely strong. Just wait until they add more supports with AoE heal because you know they will. The moment you get a multi tank/multi support ranked match, every problem this game has is immediately exposed. And that's fine I guess. This game shouldn't strive to be Overwatch and should probably stay casual, but I'm just not interested in that and I don't think its a philosophy with longevity. We'll see where this game is in a year, but a casual approach to design leaves me feeling like I've gotten everything out of it in 20 hours, rather than the thousands I put into Overwatch regardless of its own poor state.
I’m a hulk main. Just because people like zebra or winton OW can make him work doesn’t mean he’s in a good state. I get super bored on strange and suck ass at magneto. I play a good hulk, but the second the enemy DPS lock hella and Hawkeye with Luna I just turn into a spectator. I jump the Hawkeye and either I explode or he doesn’t die or both. Either nerf Hawkeye or buff hulk. I hate feeling like I’m trying my ass off and that I can’t possibly make hulk work in those situations.
I am personally loving playing both games atm, more Marvel Rivals though cz its fresh and new and i love playing venom, cap, spidey, loki, rocket and so on, it's damn fun. I cannot wait till they add deadpool atleast i hope they do, he would be single handedly the best and funniest character added in any hero shooter ever. imagine him breaking the 4th wall and talking to us as players when we play bad or fuck up and die, he spawns in and just says" hey you there, person looking at the screen, can you try and suck a little less?" i would just die laughing every time.
They really put alot of thought into each character and ability's.love what they did.if you have a decent team with team game sense no character is to strong imo
I would say that they should trade off a bit of healing from all strategies and put all that to global regen passive, that way two main issues are solved
The Marvel Rivals survey: How dissatisfied are you with **the similar game** mentioned in the previous question? TOOK ME OUT. An opportunity to dump on the state of Overwatch? Say less🤣🤣🤣

Transparent, but, it works on some people. And that's enough. Spilo correctly note that Marvel Rivals can only run because Overwatch walked.
Wolverine as a tank makes no sense why do people keep saying this.

People are also a bit obligated to play busted dps because the sustain is so crazy. Double supports like Luna Mantis is nasty business
Nerf the healing, and I think hela/hawkeye would balance themselves out. Like you said the issue is the sustain, and dive players haven’t even mastered their characters yet.
Psylock is still far more busted than any dps at the moment, she actually needs a direct nerf.

So I feel like lowering it could lead to that season in ow2 where tanks would die instantly and it felt bad for both tanks and supports
hes talking nonsense and is biased cus his fav is panther ofc he wants supports nerfed lol
supports in rival do damage as dpses while healing full hp in 1 second also having fast recharge ult with 10+ seconds of invulnerability in 10 meters radius and having control
My main problem is with the ults of mantis and luna being too long. With it being so fast paced, 12 seconds/8 seconds of not doing any damage is enough for the fight to be over
Also with how fast the ults charge and if they coordinate using them at different times, you face them in 2 fights then have 1 fight where you can make a play then back to 2 more fights of facing those ults
@@lovedeepsandhu8502 theyre a bit too long i agree also luna should be ccable during it
can we please rework tanks from overwatch that have a "just survive" win condition" : ball, hog, hazard
That's every tank
Literally unless it's 6v6 all the tanks need to be able to survive getting nuked and having an orbital ray dropped on them because of how 5v5 works. Tanks by function need the other one to make them have depth and be interesting but until then you can't have that which sucks.
@@crystaleater2581literally. Their value is almost entirely on how long they can survive. They can rarely get solo picks, but every fight is over as soon as one tank dies. Tanks may as well just stand there looking at each other while the rest of the team fights lol it’s so one dimensional in OW2
you just bad in game, hog oneshots or isolte targets to win, ball kills players who out of position and distracting to make space, and hazard same as ball+hog(isolate players or killing out of position players)

well, when OW go back to 6v6 Rivals is cooked honestly
@@ramslife7295 I’ve never seen anyone actually having fun playing OW, it’s some weird masochistic addiction

Last but definitely not least for me
Let us swap shoulders when aiming PLEASE
The fact that 1st person worked so well for overwatch shows how good each character was. They all felt so different in 1st person.
Generally feels like OG overwatch with a twist
And without the constant company greed and woke sh*t
@@r33pr are you kidding me? Marvel is like most woke company in the world lmao and 20$ skins are in MR too.
Overwatch has nothing to worry about
Yeah this aged well😂😂
Overwatch set a competitive standard and then started going against that, but Marvel can go another direction if they want.
Then you ain't playing them right
@@Hazo_Yt Maybe the game should make Tank characters that are intuitive/easy to pick up and also fun then. They managed it for the other 2 roles.
Certified "git gud" moment tbh. If my team has more than 5 collective brain-cells I carry solo-queueing as tank.
@@Jamesington tanks are fun in this game if you feel you're doing nothing then you are the skill issue
(Lol you're allowed to play what you want) like it or not the game hasn't been out for long and the care that the devs put into the game is so much more noticable, and I have an infinite amount of faith more in the balance team than that of blizzard, who have been repeatedly burning their game to the ground for the past 6 years
Have you seen Kajor’s recent video? I stopped taking him seriously after that since that entire video was him coping extremely hard about Rivals LOL
It’s fun game no doubt but it doesn’t have a good competitive balance. I’ll have to scratch the competitive itch elsewhere but the game is fun no doubt
Game is pretty fun but it just feels so clunky and i dont know after like 3 matches i get off lol
Not that Overwatch right now is any better, but if it were 6v6 OW with pre Season 9 Health Pools id be on that shit daily
But as it is right now yeah, rivals is probably better than OW, just doesnt scratch my itch like Peak OW does
On PC alot of people haven't played that want too terrible optimization
@@heiko2255 100% agree
"maybe they want everything to be broken" is nonsensical, if everything is broken that just establishes that a baseline power level and things that are broken beyond that will still be too strong and annoying to play against
Yeah this game is fun and balanced for sure. Jeff the shark eating 3 of the team mates and jumping off the map is really chill. Team up passives are not broken OP on some champs. Map design is really good. 👌
Hopefully Ultron has an ability where he can send a drone to an enemy that prevents them from getting healed. It should be destructible though
nice, love playing marvel rivals, I just hope for more tank character
Can’t give it a 9/10 because on the PC the optimization is dogsht.
Kinda a turn off for me that they launched the game in that state on PC .
@@ramslife7295Its mostly an Unreal Engine 5 optimization issue. I remember when another popular UE5 game, Wuthering Waves released and just like Rivals, it was an unstable, memory leaking mess...
Eh the game feels nothing like overwatch to me, just feels like paladins with some overwatch hero design tendencies
Definitely not replacing overwatch the game is just too different, and the tank + support design is buns I’m sorry it’s facts
(Besides Loki and Thor)
Is there a problem with having role lock in comp and keep casual games as is. Because that stops the triple support spam in high elo and also keeps the current casual situation the same, especially if you add global regen to casual (maybe comp too)
Could do 1, 3, 2 role lock to encourage more proactive play
I'm having as much fun with Rivals as I initially did with Deadlock. We'll see how we're feeling in a month or so, but Rivals has so much life in it right now that I can't see it losing steam yet, especially with winter events coming out too.
I dont think anyone was expecting it to flop out of the gate, for Gods sake it's tied to one of the largest franchises to exist.
Thats what a very large amount of people were saying
Tell that to Star Wars
Ever heard of Multiversus?
So are a lot of Star Wars related media and 90% of those suck balls
people were saying that it would flop BECAUSE it was tied to marvel. saying nobody likes marvel, superhero fatigue, yadda yadda.
copium goes a long way!
What’s wild is there are more playable characters they are missing than characters they have.
If they wanna keep it fun casual then they should buff everything. For instance, Hulk's ult is so bad. There's no way people survive after getting grabbed and beaten to death by The Hulk.
Hulk ult is insane. It makes gamma burst a 1 second cooldown and almost doubles the damage. Literally just never use world breaker.
Yeah hulks ult is nuts if played like Winston. You can juggle hit them twice with you melee and then hulk clap them and it kills them. High skill ult.
@@ddayMOBBIN I think saying "Just never use the useless ability" is ignoring the problem, no?
@@BlueMadness666666 I agree the Q-Q is utter garbage, but the buffs offered by Q are already good IMO
Its probably still decent if Q-Q is removed
I will gladly trade it for both transform times shortened
Genji main ?
I wouldnt necessarily say that, if youre main is defining the Meta and has a 100% pickrate they deserve to be nerfed.
Balance just happens in competitive online games, and while some heroes get over-nerfed its not a bad thing and people who complain about their OP Main getting nerfed just suck lol
@@noahbernstein5536 That was so stupid, especially since they now brought it back after he felt horrible to play.
They could have had 1 Playtester tell them "Hitting a Headshot on Hanzo and not killing feels ass" but no they just nerfed him anyway
@@heiko2255Ok but that’s a misstep by the developers that shouldn’t have happened to begin with. Man you’re rapid fire with the cope and bad takes
Overall i hope its a healthy competitor to Overwatch and makes Blizzard actually fucking try for once, but i dont see myself playing this in like 3-6 Months from now.
speaking my language!
To me not even close
5v5 is one thing, but i dont need to bring that up it has so many issues and stuff that makes it unfun i would be typing 100 paragraphs on why it sucks
Other than 5v5, just the Season 9 patch that increased Health Pools and hitboxes ruined the game even more, they screwed many Heroes with the breakpoint changes, hitscan dominate the game all the time (eg. Widow, Soj, Ashe, etc.) and it just lowered variety in heroes
All the Heroes permanently get buffs or other changes that lower their skill requirement which makes the game cater to lower skill players instead of earning being good at a Hero for example
- Bap got 30% recoil reduction
- Lucio falls faster during ult so he cant die as easily
- Illari Ult explosion got bigger
The Balance team does stuff like this all the time, but this doesnt make people come back and play and to those who still play its really annyoing
But overall Overwatch is a very polished game and even if i hate 5v5 and what its done to the game the Heroes are still amazing
Also the graphics kill your fps and I’m on the lowest setting on a gaming laptop
hi samito thank you for playing this game, i met some people who worked in it and they love this kind of feedback from creators like you :]
@@brycenb2994 let me know when MR drops a weapon skin for $40 like Overwatch 2 did. Then we can talk abput them being the same.

Marvel rivals DOESNT HAVE WEAPON SKINS.
So how are they prioritizing skins now any more so than they already have been??
If anything they are putting more resources into balance than ever before with test events specifically to gauge how people want to play the game and multiple interviews talking about balance and future plans.
The spectating nailed it for me
They could add another percent based damage character like wolverine. Where the damage starts multiplying based on total damage done. Eventually it will breakthrough the sustain healing.
Sustain is not a problem because long fights feel like a real super hero battle, whereas short ones feel like cod.
Samito is actually a charming guy when he's not raging 🤣
Seeing my boi samito happy and raging at a good game makes me happy🙏🏾
Sustain is strong imo due to long range burst damage so if that was turned down and sustain was turned down you would hit that goldie locks zone. Not big changes were all healing is reduced by 50%, but maybe 10-20%. Small steps towards an end goal is the best way.
It’s so nice to see him. Happy to play a game.
Haven’t had this much fun with a hero shooter since OW1s first few seasons
Ok, no, CD's suck is not better the SW's. That's a lie.
The sustain in this game makes Overwatch feel like a joke.
I'm just saying; y'all better log on when 6v6 is coming on tuesday.
I love the 3rd person but it does need some work. You can be hit from someone you can't see but they can see you and that's a bit of a problem, maybe allow us to swap from left and right shoulder perspectives at will.
I would prefer for the devs to introduce characters who can counter the high sustain as opposed to buffing/nerfing the current cast.
They probably didn’t want to go all out on release to where there won’t be asmuch excitement going forward, like you mentioned when they release Thanos it’ll be huge and get people excited again if they pair that with some sick cosmetics it’ll be even bigger.. it’s gone be great 😂
Healing reduction mechanics for some characters, I think is the route to go. Maybe give that to certain melee slash characters.
Adam Warlock doesn't need a nerf. All of his abilities have MASSIVE cooldowns and need to be used at the right time Otherwise you're throwing.
My main gripe is lack of rewards for winning a match, I should get 10 of that purple currency if I lose a game or 20 if I win, I'm at a point where there's nothing to do other than to farm dailys.
Maybe they’re trying to encourage you to touch grass 😂😂😂
It’s a fun game without the ability to kill overwatch. As far as sustain comps they could have team ups that make two support two dps meta or something like that
I was hating on this game at the start due to its optimization issues and weird mobile esque graphics but after playing it for a while its been really fun!!, the only downside is that this game reminds me of OW1 with the giga sustain my god i hate mantis broken ass support tbh
I still hate the optimization its bad
I seriously hope they don’t fuck up this game the same way Blizzard fucked up.
my genuine thoughts as a new player to rivals; its a bit boring trying to learn all the hero kits and memorizing how they look/play, and understanding the map dynamics...
but once you get that knowledge in, damn does this game flourish. the game has some mechanics in it that i think overwatch even should consider, like payload needing to be "Captured" to move it one way or the other,
rival heros all seem to have SOMETHING that mimics overwatch, but each hero has their own unique identity. you can argue all you want that "They came before overwatch!" there are multiple ways of adding types of abilities in a game. tf2's bow and arrow plays COMPLETELY different from hawkeye but hanzo and hawkeye HAVE that similar feeling. its not bad to mimic overwatch, the fact captain america has a sprint button instead of just...being faster from the get go isn't a BAD thing. its good to take from your competition, its GOOD to have similar mechanics. hulk being a combo between d.va and winston isn't bad either, it makes him feel "Familliar" but unique. but hulk had MANY ways of implimenting him, hulk couldve been a cooldown, or bruce could not exist at all, but that similarity is GOOD TO HAVE. when people say "it feels like overwatch" that is NOT A BAD THING, and i think people take it the wrong way.
fliers. rivals has by far the worst kind of fliers...and has TWO of them. "creative moders" and in all seriousness, they work. i don't look at them and think "oh great i can't do anything" its not like pharah where they two tap you, so its safe to not completely have to devote 3 out of 6 to countering them, one will suffice. the fact i can play cloak(a support) and manage to supress an ironman at LEAST enough that he doesn't freely kill my team is leagues above pharah as a concept. they are ironically a lot less mobile then other heros. so its pretty predictable to shoot at them.
destructible objects...im torn on. genuinely, i think it might be better if destructables are just...permanently destroyed. its really disorientating seeing that giant green pillar pop out of nowhere to block your LOS.
team bonuses are another thing i think overwatch should consider over role passives. sometimes they don't do much, but its a cool way to get specific heros to work together, and encourage swapping and discourage counter swapping.
whats crazy to me is that kids are going to grow up with marvels rivals like how many of us did with overwatch 1 😢
I think in order to tune down sustain you would need to tune down damage as well tho cus unless you are pumping heals into someone they blow up in a second
Less sustain only works if there is less dmg to allow supports that window to do anything else but heal. If we tone down dmg then we can talk toning down healing
If you tone sustain without touching dmg things just get blown up with 0 way to prevent that dmg and the game is just deathmatch
I feel like only the heals and dps got the super op ults and kits while they made vanguards as mostly walking punching bags. Some of the tanks have some gameplay design.
Just a matter a time before you turn bitter on this game too. It was never about OW. You're the common denominator.
It's still about it. He's so butt hurt about state of OW, he will praise this game even when it become worse then OW.. I can bet my ass if OW goes to 6v6 with all new content and heroes. Ppl would instantly leave this game. Ayleast the majority of streamer s who play OW
@@Igor-sr3sfPeople are just glad to finally see some actual competition and are hopeful. Stop being a sad loser
No wonder your comments were pushed down. The coping and seething is insane. And the random Samito hate too. You’re miserable 😂
@@RIP_ZYZZ1738 nah dude, I'm not hating on samito. I follow him for a long time. It's my opinion on the matter...
Bruh Cap be serving FREEDOM and is fun af
They really put alot of thought into each character and ability's.love what they did.if you have a decent team with team game sense no character is to strong imo
you do know that Venom's galaxy defender skin belongs to agent Venom right?
but if we do get him it will have to be agent Anti-Venom with anti healing
I would say that they should trade off a bit of healing from all strategies and put all that to global regen passive, that way two main issues are solved
