Just inherited my Dads 83 GMC Sierra after he passed away.. I grew up in that Red truck and so I had it towed over and it’s running again 305 OG my dad preserved it for me with layers of red paint life’s a funny thing. The smell of the truck is what a hold the most too spitting sunflower seeds on the floor board.
'67-'72 Chevy and GMC pickups the most beautiful body style trucks ever made, IMHO..too bad they only made them for only 6 models years, unlike this body style...which they made seemingly forever....
My grandpa had a High Sierra of around the same year. It had the big 454 engine in it, and the thing just drank gas. He got a much newer truck recently, because he drove it a lot (especially on the highway) and it was becoming quite the money pit to keep running.
I had a 79 Cheyenne Dark blue i drove the wheels off that thing. it got so much wear i couldnt keep it outta the shop then sold it running to a car dealer that sold it for big profit im sure
Nice truck. These things were prone to rust, were thirsty for motion lotion and typically burned a quart of oil every 1500 was considered normal from the 250 six to the 454.
Heavy Chevy this body seems to indicate that the truck is tough I have a 1986 Silverado 4x4 diesel four speed and I had people trying to bye it from me and I say NO. These things are made to last for ever
Sweet truck. Too bad it's been treated with Ziebart though. I've seen so many northern vehicles treated with that crap actually rot quicker because salt/water gets trapped under the coating and stays there.
I watched this video about 15 minutes ago and decided to come back and make a comment. After thinking about it for 15 minutes I decided that it’s highly unlikely that anyone in 1976 bought a brand new pick up truck like this one and then parked it somewhere where it could be preserved in new condition for the past 45 years. This would be about as likely as meeting a 50 year old man who has never jacked off. This being said I have decided that this is more than likely just a hoax. The Internet used to be cool 25 years ago, now it’s just a bunch of fake bullshit.
Doubt it is a hoax but it is not "original", probably a restoration. I have a 1976 GMC, some of the look is not right for a '76 or for a GMC. Example: tailgate is not 1976 nor a GMC, it is more of a '90's Chevy tailgate. Rims like that were never used on a GMC in the '70s. Would have liked to see the engine. Good restoration but not original.
@@djdud132 No, longbeds are not bad at all. In fact, I prefer them myself. It's just merely subjective points of view, nothing more. I say go for what YOU like and don't worry about popularity (which, in my opinion, is VERY overrated!) and other such nonsense!

If you set the quality to 240p it looks like this was filmed in 1976 lol
Did you have to slam the door?!
I had a 1975 and lost it in storage. It's still sitting there ruining. Was my dad's. .
What kinda of tires and rims caps are they called
Original factory they were sweet
@ben sawyer The Chevrolet equivalent offered the exact same thing except for the bowtie emblem.

Maybe the nicest lowest mile square body left
Should've shown us under the hood.
Mint
Wow
Is this for sale?
A Rare sight... Usually if these trucks are still around, they’re all crapped out and rusted pieces of junk.
You obviously don’t know anything about them

@@WilleJamesHuff Neither do you.
@@melrose9252 I do frame off restorations on these trucks, I’m only on like my 6th one, and owned them since I could drive. Try again.
Oh wait, the 73's rusted quick, all others lasted around 5 yrs, before starting to rust.
Mine is 35 years old and still no rust, lol.
Your right they rust out bad in Wva were I grow up in the 1970S and 1980's
@@kCI251 Send it to Guinness Book of world record.
Must be why I dont see many 1973-1979 square.bodies like the 1980s Square bodies.
If you live in the "Rust belt", It's your responsibility to protect a gem like that!!

..So what exactly are "original miles"...and what would make miles "original" or "non-original"..🤔
Would be nice to hear the story on how this truck exist. Why would you buy a truck and only drive it 20 miles a year ?
Color name?
Mine says 23p medium blue
SHUT UP AND TAKE MY 40k CASH FOR THIS BEAUTIFUL TRUCK

Not gonna get far on that tank of gas!
It Smiles per gallon not miles per gallon😃
It’s a long bed lmao 😂 cheap cheap
Just getting into trucks, are long beds bad? Or why the negative on the truck? Just picked up the same truck as the one here.
