Just over 30,000 original miles have been logged on this 4-wheel-drive 1976 Chevrolet Cusom Deluxe K20 Silverado pickup truck, built like a rock. C20 C10
My Grandfather had this same chevy truck but a 1980 model year. Seeing this video brings back so many good memories I wish I had that truck. Great Luck with it!
Keep in mind, some of these trucks had camper loading information in the glove box with build codes elsewhere. On my '84 diesel, I can't find the build codes at all and will likely need to get a repro sheet ordered.
same here lived in fort mcmurray alberta from 1975-90 my dad had a 73 2wd longbox 307ci 3 speed column shift he had that truck for over 20 years great truck 2 tone blue and white
My dad work for the city . He drove one almost identical to this home every night and back at 4:30 am every morning. He claimed it rode to ruff for his liking. Most times he had a GM lwb 1/2 or 3/4 ton 2wheel he worked away from job with. TIRE CHAINS and Compound L gear will get one where they need to go in most all situations. His Green 71 Ford SWB port hole van was my favorite. 390 with a 3 on the tree. Factory aluminum Mag wheels. Sweet old wagon.
Damn...I've never seen a '76 Chevy in this kind of condition. The '73-'87 generation of GM trucks were prone to body corrosion and this truck looks all original. Beautiful truck.
Very nice custom deluxe. My late dad owned a 1978 C10 Scotsdale edition brown with tan interior 5.7 4bbl auto factory air tilt wheel regular longbed. The truck was used to carry a slipon camper. The only issue he i can remember was the weather seal holding the windshield it leaked when it rained hard. Had the dealer pull out the glass & reseal it. The firestone tires were'nt that great of a tire that came with it. One failed on a family road trip out west he apprehensive about the firestones from day 1. I seem to remember firestone had big recall on the passenger car tires blowing out them 721's were really bad tire 4 decades ago!
Genial y brillante estas clásicas camionetas de los años 70 tas y 80 las chevrolet silverado en todas sus versiones caja corta y caja larga. Pik UP. Nice to keep them stock. I have a 1981 GMC 3/4 ton that I want to fix one day. Ours was originally metallic brown and white two tone. It was repainted solid brown though, and needs a little rust work.
I never see the LWB step sides anymore. Going to attempt to put one together soon. They carry a decent amount , with style! Plus it’s all inboard centered on frame .,I’m thinking a Strait 6 out of a Trail blazer would be a good choice for a truck affordable enough to use . These trucks can drink petro like none other. 3 mpg with a good ol 350. Lol I’m thinking a fuel injected 2 cammer with a electric shift 4 speed transmission and possibly a higher gear rear will help it out with this new improved high methanols fuel they push on us . ( I kinda like global warming, heaven forbid we freeze up for good😂) . It feels that way today in West Virgenee!
Hmm, well... I have the 2wd short box version of this truck. I love it, but it’s very crudely made. That makes it super easy to work on, but I’ve already made a few of my own improvements on things where GM cheaped out
my dad had a 76 scottsdale pretty much exactly like this one.as ive seen with lots of them the moulding on the side does not line up true as was the case with my dad,s and is the case with this one.these were built in oshawa ontario and i knew people who worked there.they told me it was because the workers skipped using the guides either because they were too lazy or the line was behind.i remember my dad saying that if he had o noticed that he wouldn,t have bought it although he did come to love the truck
so clean. its weird to think that the blue 73 sitting in the woods of my grandfathers house with a cab that has absolutly no floor, a frame thats almost snapped in half, the tweaked bumper, bedless, holes on top of cab roof, covered in moss , sitting for 20 years was once as beautiful as this.....fuck nature man
VERY nice! I see a punkin under the front but no front hubs? Is it full time 4x4? Even the full time rigs had a hub sticking out with just a chrome cap on it usually didnt they?
Its not Silverado Custom Deluxe. It's Just Custom Deluxe. The fenderside badges indicate the trim/decor package. 73-74 Custom was base model, Custom Deluxe was second best, Cheyenne was nicer,& Cheyenne Super was top of the line. 75 an on they were changed to Custome Deluxe base model, Scottsdale second best, Cheyenne, & Silverado as top of the line. in the 70's & early mid 80's Silverado was not a model designation like it is today, it was a trim designation
Very true, that's why I like the c/k series the best. Just like with gmc, today Sierra is the model only. Back then the trim decors were Sierra, Sierra classic, high Sierra, and Sierra grande.
Between '75-'80, there was also another trim package called "Bonanza". My parents had a '77 C10 longbed Bonanza. I drove it to school my Junior and Senior years (40 years ago). They also had, @the same time, a '77 C20 crew cab with the Silverado package. They bought it new, to pull our horse trailer. And then when I bought my own first vehicle, it was a '76 C10 longbed with a combo Scottsdale and Cheyenne package. The exterior trim and fender emblems we're Scottsdale. But the interior trim and dash emblem was Cheyenne. It also had the heavier duty suspension parts of a Big 10, yet didn't have the Big 10 decal. It had been special ordered that way, by the company my dad worked for.
If that was my truck I invest in the clear protector all over the truck that protects trucks paint from chips etc from the road, I believe it’s called “” xpel “” film protection
samspace81 it’s called “””xpel””” film protection . I have it on my 2018 corvette and it works perfectly!! My paint is absolutely flawless from rock chips!
Please help!! I just bought a truck with the same exterior trim as yours. I have searched the internet trying to find that trim and I have only seen two pictures on the internet of trim like that! I am missing a piece and I cannot find any for sale!
Awesome, looking forward to seeing it, appreciate the kind words, always evolving the channel with the end goal to spread happy times to as many people as I can worldwide. - SAM
It's interesting.... the front "pumpkin"...& the 4x4 shifter (on the floor)...are clearly seen. Yet, the front hubcaps are not correct...making it appear to not be a 4x4.🤔🤔 Given the shifter and pumpkin, I am sure it IS a 4x4. The correct front hubcaps would have the same design. But they would have a hole in the center, that the extended hubs stuck through so you can manually lock/unlock the hubs. Unless someone has converted it to "full-time auto 4x4", with a conversion kit.🤔
Why does the guy driving feel the need to keep revving the engine and racing around?! This video would make me not want to buy a vehicle from you if your going to beat on them!
My Grandfather had this same chevy truck but a 1980 model year. Seeing this video brings back so many good memories I wish I had that truck. Great Luck with it!
Beautiful truck. I'm a Ford guy, always have been always will be. But these 73-91 Chevy's are my favorite Chevy trucks.
I'm the same way. Good comment.
rosedale red was one of the nicest colors.
What a great truck wonder where it is in 2022
Thank you for including the build sticker in the glove box. That's something that I look at when checking out a truck.
***** Hey man, you're welcome! Me too, I love old trucks, glad you noticed that. Thanks for the comment. - Sam

Childhood memories on the farm! These were everywhere in the midwest before hard work use and salt put most of them in the scrap heap!

What a sharp looking burgundy red Chevy truck that is! So beautiful!
Best looking chevy truck I have seen in a long time. Nicely done.

Mechanical and electric pusher

Wow.
What's a truck like that worth?
Maybe $30,000 these days

Worth every penny. Is that your truck? Do you still have it?
It’s definetly not a 30k truck, maybe 14k

It really did. Big money now
I don't think this is a 4x4....it looks like a c20 instead

2000$

Automatic 😑
