The Cadillac CT4-V Blackwing is Nucking Futs

  • Cadillac has announced that they are pretty sure they are going to end combustion engine production in the near future. However that doesn't mean they still don't know how to have fun. After driving the insanely fast Cadillac CT5-V Blackwing V8 I decided to take a look at the "baby" version of that car. The Cadillac CT4-V Blackwing is honestly one of the most surprising cars I've ever driven in the past year. It's turbocharged V6 pulls modern naturally aspired V8 numbers and accelerates like a freight train. While the CT5-V is more of a powerhouse and is still a force on track, the CT4-V feels like a small extremely nimble four door that let's you get away with way too much. The CT4-V Blackwing is miles ahead of the ATS-V, and you should definitely give it a look.

Wot shifting Is so underrated to me. Especially if it's supercharged or turbo. Stay in boost aka power and side step the clutch for that feeling you can only get from not having any mercy on a car lol.

I'm currently cross-shopping this with the RS3 and the Alfa Romeo Giulia Quadrifoglio, and it's a shame how the dealer experience/greed can price out actual enthusiasts. There are dealers in the Mid-Atlantic charging $110k for this, whereas RS3s are being sold at MSRP, and Quadrifoglio at, or slightly below, MSRP. Sure you get a manual here, but Cadillac reliability (especially electronics) is equally questionable as Alfa or Audi, so you're left with driving excitement and collectability/exclusivity, which all three provide. Shame that one gets priced unrealistically due to greed.

THIS v6 is by far the BEST sounding V6 in the world its NON DEBATABLE!!! Plenty of BMW, Mercedes, Audi, and hellcat owners ALL over youtube have agreed as well..... YOU do realize that theres a button you push to make the exhaust silent or loud right? LOL.
They did this on purpose cause its a luxury car and a sports car in one.... This way you can be respectful to the karens when doing cold start ups.... 🤪

If you tried to shift as fast in any Bimmer, you would end up paying through the nose to replace your gearbox due to broken synchros (and no in BMW you cannot fix individual synchros, so if even a single one goes bad, it is time to fork out $$$$$ for the whole transmission).
