Really like what you did here. Said it like you were in some sort of wrap battle (puts me off), then gives the correct definition (galvanic corrosion). Love it. Nicely done. You're making it accessible and you're educating people at the same time. Nice work. Keep going sub'd.
also buying a spare low mileage engine in September, either going to build it myself while its being stored at my local garage or just refresh it and keep the internals all stock. the 20vt engine can take nearly 1000bhp on 70-80% stock internals. decisions decisions
Damn bro….. Why isn’t this channel blowing up? Loving this word smith here. Keep up the great work and content brother. Much love from sydney Australia
I used to own a calibra turbo in 99 but being a euro here in Australia and the times, it was a nightmare to work with. These videos reminds me of my old cars. I do wish you all the success and hopefully your channel blows up soon.
love these calibras man, dont think theres an easier 90s turbo car to work on that also has the rare factor. these and the 16v turbo coupes best 4 cylinder cars on the planet including the 2g eclipse.
Good video bud . Funny to see your finding dodgy bodges after all them years. I thought I found most of them . I'm surprised the guy that built the engine added silicone around the water pump gasket though .
my dad picked up a v6 calibra from a junkyard for 300 quid, it lasted him 6 years before he couldnt afford to get it sorted having lost reverse gear and being a freelance self employed musician. it looked like the biggest pile of shit going with all the panels different colours and a big ol dent in the bonnet. but to me was so damn cool xD
Before you go taking the head off son, may I suggest that you use the boriscope in that cylinder while slowly turning the engine over by hand, you'll see its just the piston face as it drops back down the cylinder wall...
getting the cambelt and everything else located in that end of the engine replaced in july along with brand spanking new stage 3 hybrid t28 turbo. cant believe how easy you cambelt was to change!! where you located mate? im in crappy old weymouth.
There’s rust in the engine bay & other areas of the car so a restoration would be taking it back to scratch & redoing it all replacing worn / damaged parte etc . What your doing is not a restoration it’s just doing what it needs to go back on the road
9 out of 10 proper restorations never get finished. I really enjoy these videos, most wholesome content on the internet. Keep up the good work @tingson wheels 👍🏻

Thank you, I understand my style not be to everyone’s taste but just doing what I can. Appreciate you!

Haha your not the first to say that

Head has already come off, it appeared to be some loose carbon on top of the pistons.

Ace video , where did you get the cam locking tool from ? I need one !!
Thanks! Pretty sure it was Amazon or eBay, they do flex a bit so be very cautious when using it.

This restoration is a bodge itself . Whole car needs stripping down & redoing it again if you want to do it proper way
If you say so! Guess you can’t please everyone! Thanks for looking either way

@@killerb276Who said this was a restoration? I’m doing my mate a favour by getting it going again. If it’s not for you respectfully keep it moving
Sorry, I didn't get the name of your channel, haven't seen any of killers work.... Its easy to be a Internet gangsta lol
