Cheers Andrew. Absolutely loved this from start to finish. Such an emotional rollercoaster. You had me in tears watching it. You looked so strong throughout and i'm so pleased it all worked out ok. Huge congratulations.
@@runstretchsucceed Im the same. Keep looking at my Garmin thinking did I really do that? Feel sad for those who didn’t finish. I hope they can take positives from the day.
This is an awesome vlog Andrew so open and refreshing honest and how ultras must affect your body and mind. Keep doing what you are doing and inspiring us all
CONGRATULATIONS!!! And your hundred under 24 hours!! I love that you include all of the reality, good and bad. You certainly DID "sell" ultras! None of us do ultras because they're easy, we love the challenge... of pitting ourselves against something crazy to see if we can overcome it. The saying that you experience a years worth of emotions during an ultra is so true. Coming through that gives us such a feeling of accomplishment and a healthy pride in ourselves. And you deserve to be VERY proud of yourself for all you've accomplished! I'd definitely try to catch a live stream if you do one!
Well done Andrew. I've been planning on running the LLC later this year (split over two days with an overnight stop at my parents' just off the canal in Burnley 😊) so this video is handy for planning.
Andrew, you are such a strong and inspirational human being! I can't even imagine what it's like to even cycle 130 miles nevermind doing it on foot. You did it quite quickly too. Make sure you recover well. Thank you for taking us on the journey through your experience. This is an incredible achievement! I am well in awe!
@@runstretchsucceed I understand, it's not always comfortable to film around people and you want to have a genuine experience being with them without the camera. Your footage is good anyway, you really showed all the feelings, thoughts and emotions of the ultra runner going through this mammoth challenge. Weldone, Andrew!
Thanks for sharing. Was watching runners and results over the weekend. You ran past my house in Silsden 😊 Everyone who took part is just amazing. So inspirational. I was actually tempted to sign up for next year until I saw your pain 🤣🤣
@@runstretchsucceed I managed my Lakeland 50 last month took me just under 22 hours but I did it 😀 with lovely trench foot as a parting gift lol 130 miles is just mind blowing to me. Just wonderful xxx
@@runstretchsucceed mmmmm I think I found my limit for the time being, god it was hard 😅 Maybe one day. Thank you and keep the videos coming, I really enjoy them xx
You smashed it !!!' Never doubt yourself you are amazing and inspiring thank you for sharing this experience a true account of the rollercoaster of ultra running so thank you and look forward to seeing more , lovely medal as well so all Worth it, be proud
@@runstretchsucceed we had a brief chat on the start line, I saw you a few times during the run but suffered from tendon issues in both feet from around 100 miles. Limped over the line in 38 hrs. My fourth attempt!
@@runstretchsucceed yes it is, had to retire at 35, 70 and 100 the previous 3 attempts. I wasn't going to stop until i smashed it though! Have you plans for anymore canal runs?
Absolutely smashing Andrew. 130 miles is crazy, well done for battling through and thanks for taking us along for the ride! Really enjoy watching your videos and hearing your tips (caffeine!) and your thoughts as you're going through it. Congrats and hope the recovery is going well
Serious congrats though and props to you for getting through it. Could see the emotion of it all too to get through the slog and get that 100+ miles ticked off. Amazing
