I had an Ormond Beach Home during the Hurricane Irma. I had a 70 year roof with a warranty. The adjustor called for a new roof and paid for one. The roofing company that installed the 70 year roof came out and fixed the issues under warranty for free. The entire transaction was such a fiasco. In the time I spent in Florida from 2014 - 2024, I learned that Florida is likely the MOST corrupt State in the Nation. Everything is sex and drugs and fraud. The lawyers are running the table.
Why did you file an insurance claim if your issues were being covered under warranty? Why didn't you just allow your mortgage company apply the money to your principal?
