Couldn't agree more with what you've said, it was my first Glasto and I was just amazed everywhere I went. You're right that everything was art, so much to go see and experience couldn't see it all. I knew it would be alot of walking but damn it's ALOT! Best way I explained it to people afterwards who have never gone is that it's more than a music festival, I genuinely feel you could go and not want to see anyone on say the top 5 stages and you'd still have an amazing weekend. I'd love to do it again in a heartbeat, I can hope. I look forward to seeing more Glastonbury related videos
I completely agree with everything in this video! Had my first Glasto experience this year and it's so different from anything I've ever been to. Been to festivals in UK, USA, Belgium, Netherlands, Budapest and nothing comes close to mirroring the way that Glasto does things. Already booked it off for next year 🤘🏼👌🏼
Mate - I’ve been going to Glasto since ‘84 and for the last 20 years (aside from Covid) I’ve travelled from Melbourne !! So good to hear you made the trip and I reckon you’ve nailed the top five - personally I love the location - it’s so remote from big cities and I for me it’s my Jerusalem for just 5 days in my year - I now spend my entire years holiday budget and pay for VIP so I can be sure to get a ticket every year - but money is no object when it comes to Glasto - I’ve even looked at buying a cottage in Pilton just to be guaranteed a ticket each year!!! Hope to see you in the stone circle one day - Newt
I think because I was filming one of the stages for the led screens (lonely hearts) which I love doing anyway, even tho the artists predominantly on that stage aren’t to my taste I still found it fun. I was also able to go off an do my own thing when not on shift and watch some bands, as well as swap shifts with others to ensure this happened so can fault it really
completely agree with everything you said, you sorta got onto it about the brands, but i really loved how it didnt feel like they just wanted your money the second you entered unlike other festivals where everything is a paid extra, whereas glasto include the basics incl programme, bag, phone charging etc - then the extras like food and the bar, were expensive, but not as crazy as the likes of r&l, creams, etc - by far the best festival in the world!
Pro - Glastonbury is the biggest festival in the world. Always something to see and do. There’s not enough time in the day to feel like you’ve experienced everything. Con - Glastonbury is the biggest festival in the world. Always something to see and do. There’s not enough time in the day to feel like you’ve experienced everything. First timers in my group were very overwhelmed and I think it took a while for it to click for them. Looking forward to future years where they’ve got used to it a bit more.
Great video! My favourite thing about Glastonbury is I know I'll come away having discovered so much new music and probably watched a band I'd never heard of who quickly become a new favourite. Looking forward to what you consider the worst things. For me... The water point taps! They'll either have enough pressure to jet wash a patio or dribble at a snails pace. Nothing in between. So funny watching people trying to do refills after several ciders :D
@@JackWebbMusicClub so many to pick from. Bonobo were great, IDLES smashed it, Holly Humberstone was wonderful. I think Sam Fender stole the show though.
Hi, I'm writing a dissertation about if Glastonbury is getting too big and losing its personal touch would love to email about your thoughts, I've also watched your other video. Crowd management was an issue last year but I would also like to hear if you felt the sanitation kept up with the increase in attendees. Cheers.
If you think the production and set design is good at glastonbury, you should go to boomtown 😂 and then tomorrowland makes Boomtown look like a DIY shed and in someone's garden 😅
festivals are just open air concerts now ....... they got taken over by mainstream in early 90's............if you didnt go to a festival before 1990 then you have no idea what they are actually about....its a tame version of what they used to be....they are all the same now

for sure, I feel like you could pick the park stage, and just stay there all day

Well, this made me feel much better ;)
Was working at Glastonbury but was able to see artists on breaks , one of the best weeks ever
how did you find working? was it fun, or did you get frustrated that you were missing out?

One of the big wins, was that apparently 75% of food stands offered a £5 meal.
Great initiative

who was your takeaway this year? love the comment on the taps, couldn't agree more.

I think you’d like boomtown!
I'm from Winchester... never went

This sounds great, jack@music-club.co
Or dm me. Happy to set up a call as well.
Did you get that first time festival feeling again Jack ?
Mmm, not sure it was first time festival feeling, but it was fun exploring something new
You sound as broken from glastonbury as I am/have been, Jack! Also got covid. Will there be a vlog?
Hey man, sure am, had to fly 26 hours on Tuesday, and then got home and had COVID!
So… vlog will be a little late :/
@@JackWebbMusicClub no worries man, looking forward to it! Hope you make a quick recovery
Looking forward to this!
I also got post-glasto covid 🥲 hope you’re feeling better mate.

But it's full of douchebags
If your 53 and think what the bbc plays is amazing, its the festival for you. If you have a taste in music, dont go
