We always draft some intriguing prospects excited to see what he brings!
Second behind only john stockton for all-time steals in the Gonzaga Program history #LetsGooo!!!
Ooooooooo they knew what they was doing getting him keep that defensive energy for the C’s
That says ALOT!! I THINK THIS KID IS THE STEAL OF THE DRAFT.
@keltic341thoughtyouknuskii34 baylor lead D1 college with over 2200 points 500plus assist ,350 plus rebounds, and 350 plus 3s so they are both steals.
@@pariswilson-xq6ff Baylor has shot five air balls so far. Go check his three-point percentage. Maybe steal a glance at a game from time to time and not just at the stats.
Wa$ton game appears to have already translated well whereas Baylor is going to need some serious work.
Plus Baylor when he makes certain passes he passes it like he's shooting the ball, it's weird like dude it's a pass man pass the ball across the court or on the alley-oop like a real pass, it needs to get there you don't want to shoot an arching rainbow 🌈🏀 pass.
He’s gonna fit with this team right away with the hussle plays and drives to the bucket ☘️☘️
Played with Nemhard. And Nemhard was a very impressive rookie last year. I think Watson can be that surprise rookie.
That's your rationale for him having a surprise rookie year?
It was his Second year not rookie, but was a good rookie too
Did anyone notice Bill Waltons announcing? 😢
Welcome boy. He is so stout that he can defend Luka, Lebron and Giannis. He reminds me of Grant williams. Just hope his 3 point shooting be consistent.
Plays like Montrezl Harrell, hope he can do some mid range shot or 3 pointer
He can shoot 3’s - sincerely a zags fan
He shot around 35% from 3, was a big part of his team winning 147 games he's second behind only John Stockton all time for steals in the Gonzaga Program history. Baylor shot 39% from 3 and 48% from 3 when left open. He is also the only mens D1 player with 2200+ points, over 1200+ rebounds, Over 500+ assist and Over 550+ 3s the celts were the darkhouse when it comes to winning in this draft and both fell in our laps and both are yearly starters and Big moment players ##GoCelts
His comp was old Al Horford I believe
Tiro 1 triple por partido , es pésimo como tirador y una basura de jugador que desperdiciomos con ese pick
Funny you say that, Montrez rejected the Celtics last offseason.
If he can become a solid 40% shooter from the outside then he’ll work out for the Celtics
I mean, that would be insane. If he shot 40% from the outside, he'd be playing for the next 12 years.
@@Mitch_Feral Didn't Grant Williams shoot like 40% the season before he was traded?
@@matthewvaughan8192 I think so. Important to consider that if Williams wasnt such a pest, he'd almost surely play for a long time - he's a good all-around player. He just sort of thinks he's an all-star, and acts like an ass.
@@Mitch_Feral Roleplayers can be put in the corner to hit higher percentage corner 3's, so 40% is not unrealistic if that's where you're taking most of your 3's from.
@@Nimr187 It's extremely uncommon for players providing regular minutes, even bench minutes, to hit 40% for the season. The Celtics had 5 guys hit that mark, if you include Petersen's 3 games and Davidson's 8. Hauser was the only role player who shot 40%+. It's a really lofty goal.
I need both them to work in the summer so they can play right away. Definitely needed more wing depth
Looks like a smart cutter which might be my favorite thing, Seems like an active defender based on his steals. His release is slow but that shot at 1:24 makes me hopeful he can improve that.
He looks plenty physical and strong in his drives. It will be fun to see if he can pull off those low post moves against the better athletes he will see in the NBA.
🔥🔥🔥🔥
smaller version of KAT?... 🍀🍀
I can definitely see some shades of towns within the midrange. Athleticism wise I’d give the edge to Kat. Anton is an interesting player because he does a bit of everything. The nba might help him become above average in some areas of his game. Hopefully he shows out in training camp.
Maybe KAT-Lite + some D? That’s what I’m seeing
I dont think he has even a fraction of KAT's athleticism, and being really tall is a significant part of what makes KAT an impactful player.
Hell no. Wtf?
This man's a second rounder in a weak draft class. Temper thy expectations.
He’s very active!! Can put in on the floor, post up and is very mobile for a big.
Looks like a good pick up
💪🏼😁🍀💚
i hope he develops quick enough so we can have a legitimate back up big for kp and his dumb health issues
I know im not crazy but the way he moves with the ball he reminds me of 76ers Okafor
Paul Millsap
That’s actually the closest comparison in terms of play-style. I do think Anton possesses better defense potential. But they move very similar and like to play physical. Horford will be a great mentor
Xavier Tillman. Millsap led the NCAA in rebounding I believe. This guy will be lucky to get 3 or 4 if he can even get on the floor his 1st few seasons.
Fits Brad Stevens’ vision for the Celtics perfectly, can hit 3’s and post up smaller mismatches
Anyone know where he gets these highlights?
I see a younger more athletic Al Horford here. Keep cooking Brad we see your vision🔥🔥
He’ll learn so much from a mentor like Al
Noway , More like Xavier Tillman. Horford was a top 5 pick lol.
Biggest question if Joe Mazzulla give him minutes 2024-25 NBA season ?
Similar like naz reid
I like his defence and wingspan. If he can stay in front of his man night in and night out, he’ll get minutes.
Cut from the similar cloth as Baylor, he seems just all business and a tough competitor. Picking late in the first and second you won’t get the pure athletic picks so it looks like Brad went with character and mentality. They won’t see decent minutes for a long time so best to draft mature players you can build on.
I think Scheierman could get minutes pretty soon especially if Hauser doesn’t get extended. He was one of the best players in college basketball last year and is kind of a win now pick as he is 24 and already a great shooter, passer, and rebounder
Thought he had a floater in his bag?
Maybe he can be in the stay ready crew next year?
Could Be our Naz Ried or Trey Lyles
Not convinced by those post-ups, but he looks like an energetic defender and a smart cutter, and that's a good archetype for a rookie to be. Especially with hints of a threeball in the works. Hard to tell, though. These are college highlights. Cool, but not exactly a scouting report. Here's hoping he'll be able to contribute.
Looks like a more composed Ben Simmons, if he developed a fadeaway jumper
Like a taller justice Winslow
Looks like three point shooting and shooting in general is the only thing keeping him from being an elite player. If he can’t develop shooting, he won’t be in the league long. But the good thing for him is he only needs to get better in one thing and that’s shooting.
Two way player.. He will be a contributor this year.
Yeah, to Maine. Hope he develops though.
He'll be in the Gleague probably for a year or 2.
I just heard nimhards name
That's Ryan Nembhard, younger brother of Andrew from the Pacers
Kinda reminds me of Aaron Gordon a bit!!
maybe a grant williams role if he develop to his full potential
grrfr🎉
Aaron gordon if he put in the work
Interesting observation, makes sense.
Ngl he seems like a better pick than the #30
Baylor doesn't have the athleticism but he seems to have a good feel for the game. The big question for him is can he bridge the gap between athleticism and on-court knowlege & know-how?
Absolutely delusional, blatantly ignorant statement...this dude has a lot of potential, but Baylor is by leaps and bounds better. 6'6 shooter who can rebound and pass? That's literally the Celtics system
@@MotivGuy94His rebounding won’t translate like how you think. Sam Hauser was a good rebounder in college, in the nba not so much. That’s why he lets others rebound and he just runs the floor for a 3. Baylor will have the same role as Sam. The playmaking is also in question, because the nba plays at a faster pace. Baylor is naturally going to miss a lot of reads or try to do too much. Sam’s coming back so I doubt we see both of these rookies that much this season
@@J4htheartist not many rookies come into the league and immediately figure it out. You got to realistically at least give them 1 year. Plus it's not clear if these dudes will get enough minutes to actually get real experience out there. Rebounding is about positioning and awareness, you can't teach that, that doesn't change from college to pros. And he can definitely adjust to the speed of the NBA on passing... it's not rocket science
@@J4htheartist also Hauser is taller than baylor and averaged 3 less rebounds a game
Definitely right-handed - no single point with the left hand. But, on the other hand, pick #54 - not bad.
..35 second mark he reverse lays up with left hand.
Gonzaga.....what is that, a vocational school?
Plays like old, injured Blake Griffin. We wasted this pick.
...bro it's a freaking pick in the 50s what did you expect? Also in case you forgotten...blake was an absolute beast on his prime. And to say he plays like old blake is just flat out ignorant. You're just saying things for the sake of saying it at this point
NBA fans don’t know ball lol
@@MotivGuy94 What does Blake in his prime have to do with my comment? You're talking just to talk.
@@KJA70 Yeah they don't. Imagine thinking he was the best option available.
Old Blake griffin was not playing like this lol. Especially on defense. Anton moves his feet way better.
No me gusta nada y pudo ser no seleccionado tranquilamente. Tira mal de tres , poca media distancia , muy poco atletico , mal % en libres y es muy lento .desperdicio de pick
