Both of them are products of an awesome development staff and when they start chasing their bag, one or the other can still be here or make a good trade asset. Either way, it’s a win win for the franchise! We need a cheap 2nd unit for sure next year !
@@isaacvalencia2646 I think Queta has a higher ceiling, but am thrilled to have both of them. Kornet is one of the most underrated players in the league. If KP goes down, I'd replace him with Kornet, and leave Al to come off the bench, along with Queta and even Tillman. MAN, I wish we had that kind of depth at center in the 87 playoffs when Walton pulled his usual sitting on the bench in street clothes, and all we had to back Parish up with, was Greg Kite.
I love how Kornet has evolved his game to stick in the NBA. Often the talk is about bigs developing a 3pt shot, but Kornet did the opposite: focused on improving everywhere else to fit into the offense, completely forgoing the 3s he used to shoot earlier in his career, and it worked out great for him.
Thing is, I think he still has his shot. When I was there earlier this season, I watched him warmup and I swear he drained like 20 3s in a row lol Obviously that's uncontested, not in a game, etc. but I think if he needed to contribute to shooting he'd still be able to
@@mailliw2698he shot 36% his second year on 4.2 attempts a game injuries definitely hurt his 3 ball because he had the NCAA record for 3 pointers by anyone taller then 7 feet
That’s why I don’t like the words “Mazura only uses 3pt shooter”. Absolutely not, Kornet is the example who completely changes from a shooter to a paint guy.
I was one of those “why is Kornet still on this team?” fans. He very quickly became a fan favourite, the vibes on this team is partly due to Kornet. He really played hard and broke the ice and made for such an enjoyable team environment.
As a 3rd string big, I think Kornet did great this year. Did a good job offensive rebounding, could catch and finish around the rim. Was a deterrent on defense in the paint. And just good overall vibes on the team. He played his role well imo.
It’s crazy how good he is now. Does his job nothing more nothing less!! Celtics coaches did a great job getting the best out of all their players!! Turned Hauser who went undrafted into one of the best shooters in the league
I'm watching this after finding out Porzingis might be out for the rest of the NBA finals. He can't shoot like Porzingis, but I have faith in Luke Kornet. He just needs to play good defense and get some rebounds.
Queta vs. Kornet is like Rob vs. Al. Queta's physical attributes keeps him in the NBA but still raw in potential. While Kornet is more reliable now due to experience. Give Queta some time and he'll grow but Kornet has had a great season. Props to him 🎉
korn dawg is funny af. even if he weren't such a baller, i'd still want him on court at all times. this highlight video could've easily been like 40 minutes
it’s crazy how that he’s changed his playing style so much. When he was with the knicks and bulls mf was hitting 3’s and was way more selfish with the ball
So glad the moose is back. Such a professional. He's exactly what we need in that backup center spot. He just needs to stay springy. Maybe get another "new guy" haircut to honor Mike and stay youthful.
Crazy fact: Tyson Chandler a former C in the NBA made more money his rookie year in 2001 (3,308,160) than Kornet is set to make in 2025 (around 2.1 mill) that's insane
He is slowly becoming one of the best big men in the league. Probably the only reason why I watch basketball at this point reminds me of a young Kevin Garnett. Hopefully the Celtics continue to keep this guy on the roster to help the team flourish.
@@davidykim93 I am not talking about creating his own shot post up game and etc. But when it comes to room protection, and lo, he reminds me of a young Kevin Garnett. I am not making argument. He is as good as Kevin Garnett. but I have in several games where we are simply better when he is on the floor. I’m also making an argument that is very underrated and we should keep him long-term.

The Queta Fans vs The Kornet Fans was one of the funniest parts of the season because both guys are great and offer different things when in the game

They’re both beasts on the glass but Queta has shown more promise on the defensive end while Kornet is a known lob threat
😂 true
I hope Luke Kornet stay our team next season 😤😤😤

I can only remember him taking one this season, in one of the last games when it was garbage time.
Yup I remember him on the Knicks and thought he’s a good player but I don’t think he’ll stick. Now he’s reinvented himself as a nice lob threat
kornet is so good for the celtics in the regular season. him hauser and pritchard really have been key to help keep our stars healthy and fresh
Kornet isn’t very strong on defense but being an assault weapon on the glass and a constant lob threat can come up huge in the playoffs
He’s staying
when we picked up luke a couple years back I never thought he’d grow into such a reliable veteran role with us.
Glad they signed him again. He’s a good player to have in specific situations.
I was one of those “why is Kornet still on this team?” fans. He very quickly became a fan favourite, the vibes on this team is partly due to Kornet. He really played hard and broke the ice and made for such an enjoyable team environment.
Luke's celebrations were some of my favorite things this season, always hilarious
That's a great video, Tomasz, well done.
Mental vertical blockshots from Luke thats amazing!)
Hopefully he gets a decent contract this offseason whether with the Celtics or somewhere else. He has been a lot of fun this year.
I hope we get Best of Luke Kornet celebrations

Hauser is a keeper. He's this team's Scott Wedman, while Pritchard is our Jerry Sichting, only way better.
the best way to describe luke kornet is "gloriously awkward."
KING OF THE FOLLOW
Luke has that sneak-up-on-you athleticism, he moves around the rim a lot better than you think he would
Who’s the world biggest Celtics super-fan? Luke Kornet. You can just tell he’s absolutely loving life this season.
I'm watching this after finding out Porzingis might be out for the rest of the NBA finals. He can't shoot like Porzingis, but I have faith in Luke Kornet. He just needs to play good defense and get some rebounds.
“he’s your third center!!!”
Love this dude, that kontest is genius tho

people talking about luke's ceiling does not understand his knicks tenure. This man was a unicorn
Luke “Don’t call me Jim” Kornet

He’s literally me
I believe he shot 70%/100%/90% this season
Best center in the league by far
if your team doesn't have a korn dawg on it, did you even enjoy your nba season?
0:35 wtf was he trying to do lol. He had no chance
Sad that you didn’t have his 3 pointer in this highlights
I think luke will get paid next contract yr.. probably agreed for 1 yr.. once horford will have smaller contract after this season..
Luke is groot
Hoping he stays in green
He only got 1 yr .. 🤷♂️🤷♂️ he deserves 2-3 yrs

Kinda stretch to say that he's young kg, sounds delusional
L video
This guy is hilarious
