- Edward de Bono is the originator of the concept of Lateral Thinking, which is now a firm entry in the Oxford English Dictionary.
Dr de Bono was born in Malta. As a well-established academic, de Bono was a Rhodes Scholar at Oxford and holds an MA in psychology and physiology from Oxford. He is a Professor at many leading institutions around the world. He is an author of many best-selling books, and is known as the world’s leading authority on thinking.
Edward De Bono is an amazing man. We need more Edward de Bonos in this world especially among politicians, justice system, all government departments pall people in leadership positions etc etc Not enough lateral thinkers just people doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different outcome. .....

Edward De Bono is an unrecognised genius. The idiots criticise him. To quote Jonathan Swift "No sooner does a genius appear, than all the dunces in all the world conspire against him". As I myself have spent a lifetime struggling with dunces until the futility of persisting dawned on me I feel it is my duty to speak publicly in his defence.

Loved the part where he advises to the mayor to require people parking in busy areas with headlights on ... limiting the parking time ... saves cost of parking meters, etc.

If fracking is one of the good ideas that Edward de Bono's lateral thinking's come up with, I'm not particularly impressed, because I've seen the consequences on Google earth. Ugly, scary, 100,000's of fracking wells! Plus, what's innovative about getting ever more oil out with the inundation of problems already in existence from it's unceasing flow?
