How to use a zener diode (2 - Regulators)

Let's use a zener diode to create a simple shunt voltage regulator. We will do a full derivation of output voltage as a function of input voltage to find expressions for stabilization. We will find expressions for output resistance, input regulation factor, and temperature coefficient and show their effect on the load voltage. What are some limitations of the zener diode shunt regulator?
