Bought a touring… top notch!! I am Toyota guy and this beats the grand Highlander in every way…
V6 engine, pano roof, Bose surround, smooth power engine, very quiet inside, ultra strength steel beams to protect passengers…
That GH engine turbo is not proven, the by hybrid models they are over charging for and interest rates are very high… Toyota is purpose limiting production to push prices up….Whatever gas your saving your paying interest rates so a low end hybrid model with no feature is 70k after all finance charges 😂😂😂
Perfect quick and no nonsense reviews. Subscribed.
Just bought mine in platinum white with gray interior and AWD. Just love it.
Thank you! So much insights.
Love my 06 pilot ex-l. The V6 has plenty of power. Kept it in perfect condition and love the dark green color
Just bought this week. Red. Love it !
Love my ‘23 Touring. Awesome vehicle!
Great review. I don't watch any other car reviews on TH-cam because you are so detailed in your videos. Nice job.
Wow thank you I really appreciate that! More videos coming 👍🏼
Awesome review 🎉
Excellent video. You were able to answer a lot of my questions. Thank you!
Glad I could help, thank you! 👍🏼
I just bought this exact model it’s amazing
Now my perfect new Honda Pilot I can buy.
I like your driving ereview portions because you dont talk a lot and just let the cars engine sounds come through. Everybody else reviewing test drives wants to tell their entire life story like bruh we want to hear the car we heard you yap for the first half of the review subscribed
A great review. I have had a ‘24 EX-L model w/AWD since AUG of ‘23 and I absolutely love it so far. Great pick-up, a comfortable ride, and plenty of space for my passengers. Plus, I love how they went back to the boxy style with this generation. I got the heated seats, no BOSE speakers, and no sun roof. It seems like a mix and match between the EX-L and Touring models. I am in MD, so I wanted the AWD because we are inclined to have some winters unlike Florida. A solid ride. I really wanted an Accord ( just got rid of a 13 V6 w/260,000) but since they have dummied down the engines w/no V6 or turbo models, I decided on the Pilot. I am an old timer, so I need some semblance of power.😂I am a Honda loyalist as I have driven nothing but them since 96. I have checked out some of your other reviews and I like your channel and your style and I have become a subscriber. Keep up the good work and God Bless, my man!!!!!
18:06, this doesn’t have VTEC. It’s a new engine.
All wheel drive isn't standard on Touring, but it's available as an option for $2100, so you can get it either way.
You missed the removable Middle second row seat and the hidden storage compartment for it !
Love the style of review, keep it up 👍 what is your favorite value trim on this??
maybe have a couple more opinions.. but you are spot on with the lightness of the steering, don’t like that…
Thanks! I think the elite and Trailsport are the best value trims because of the standard AWD. An AWD touring is almost $50k so with the extra $2k you get a lot more with the Elite and you’ll save some money with the Trailsport compared to the AWD touring too.
What is the GVWR (____lbs)? Listed on the drivers side door jamb. Is it 6000 or above need to know for business purchase and Section 179 deduction.
TRG doesn’t really sit behind the Trailsport - they’re basically adjacent to each other, both sitting below the Elite.
Difference between two comes down to usage. If you need a Pilot that focuses more on its off-road capabilities then go with Trailsport. If you need a Pilot that focuses more on standard road trips for large families then go with Touring. Otherwise, Elite satisfies both needs.
Just need to clarify this because there are things about the Touring that the Trailsport doesn’t have and vice versa. Biggest one is that the Trailsport does not have the middle seat in second row - its captains chairs only. Trailsport is AWD only, TRG offers both.
I love Pilot 202425
Make Sure to Don’t Forget DRIVE SLOW Please
Are they coming out with a 2025 soon? I want to wait to see if it gets updated any different but this one looks good as well
I don’t have family but love to have my first big car. Is this good one to purchase?
Good review. The Hybrid hopefully drop in August, hopefully with 3.0L v6 40 electric miles. These numbers will stand out in the industry and letting competition know, we here. Right now Honda is just existing, nothing exciting!
Agreed I’m looking forward to the hybrid as well! 👍🏼
@@WTFCRLT1There is no hybrid variant planned.
2023 having 22 MPG is pretty pathetic
Love that Honda still uses a V6, unlike what Toyota did with the Highlander. These vehicles are just too big for a 4 banger!
The Honda unfortunately have a feature the turns 2 of the cylinders off to meet emissions requirements. The feature many times causes problem with the V6 engine, so its only running 4 cylinders most of the time. The guy in the video mentions this .around 4:47 mark
@@michaeljones6413 There's a way you can deactivate the cylinder deactivation so it won't go into 4 cylinder mode. Gas mileage will suffer, but the engine will potentially be less problematic and ultimately last longer.
@@TeijoKhanfan Thanks I didn't know that. I guess I will have to reconsider the Pilot. I have looking at 2020 and 2021 Highlander that still have the V6 engine in them. I'm just not sold on a 4 cylinder turbo.
I'd love a hybrid like Toyota offers. Almost double the city mileage matters and Honda does great hybrids.
@@michaeljones6413 I just test drove one of these, a 2021 highlander platinum trim, and it was terrible. had the v6, but door is thin, almost hollow feel compare to the Honda. Also, when compare to my 2009 highlander, that I just lost in an accident, is like night and day difference - they don't make them like they use to. Or maybe is just Toyota trying to make the highlander less desirable in favor of people op-thing for their GH.
I try to get the new 2024 Honda Pilot Touring.
the honda pilot exl 2024 dont have sunroof
The Pilot should have gotten the same infotainment use screen as the hybrid Accords and fully digital gauges
I believe the Elite comes with this.
👍🏻👍🏻
Is there a spare tire available in this trim? Nice review thou, Thanks!
Just bought one and it's mounted under the car by the trunk area
Hi, when hybrid option is available for honda pilot?
Most likely a couple years
Towing?
Has it a full size spare wheel ? Why flog a Brand new vehicle /
I wish the rear looked as good as the rest of the car
What if you were in the third row, and you accidentally press the button to shoot the seat and what is someone sitting there with the seat move
Weight in the seat probably wouldn't allow to move as fast.
Just like you adjust a normal seat.
make an edit.. the new Pilot doesn't have VTEC . Uses cam phasers
Hello there, what is out the door price for this 24 Pilot Touring
i just got honda pilot exl 2024 out the door 47.5k
@@myleu7288 Which dealer was it? I was looking for 1 with 8 seats
52,000 for us
No VTEC in the new engine.
I'm not into this new design at all. I have a 2019 touring awd 7p that I absolutely love. I am also not seeing the RES in these new Pilots which is invaluable on long road trips. I am looking forward to a new design w/ a 5th gen.
WAY better than that turbo crap that Toyota is using. I'm saying bye to Toyota and getting a Pilot!
If you turn off the trash control, it will burn them through second gear
Yay, no turbo BS!! Just like the 80s, manufacturers are pushing Turbo 4s, as superior to a V6. In about 4 years, Toyota and others will be back to V6s.
Yup it’s a bad move
Great looking vehicle, solid transmission yet my wife and I have decided not to purchase the new 2024 - the reason has to do with something that you didn't discuss and that is the VCM system. When you cruise down the interstate the engine will run on only 3 cylinders. That simply doesn't appeal to me. Back in 1981 Cadillac introduced a similar system with their V8 which dropped from 8 to 6 to 4 cylinders. It was discarded and yet here it is again on a Honda - slightly altered yet only a problem begging for a recall. No thanks.....
WTF CAR REVIEWS, now that you reviewed both the new 2024 Honda Pilot and the Toyota Grand Highlander, which one would you pick??
I’d probably pick the pilot for the long term reliability.. not sure if I trust the new Turbo 2.4 or hybrid setup. Grand Highlander is a little more spacious though so if that’s more important to you, I’d go with the GH but you’ll probably want to get rid of it a little sooner than the Pilot 👍🏼
This engine doesn’t have Vtech anymore.
VTEC🤔🤦🏽🤷🏽♂️
hate sunroofs
me too
Then get a EX-L or a LX or a another car if you don’t want a panoramic sunroof, If you hate panoramic moonroof, get a car with a traditional sunroof if you like it better
it's shame copied the whole front end
This guy think he's Raiti? The food references are patented dude. Unoriginal.
Pathfinder is better I think
Not a chance!
Thanks
Not depends what you want.
