  • This video is for anyone who has knee pain and has tight muscles of the lower limb/around the knee.
    Anyone who has osteoarthritis can benefit from watching these exercises
    1.Increases your flexibility
    Regular stretching can increase flexibility, which is important for your knee joint. It can help to delay the decreased mobility that comes with aging.
    Better flexibility helps you to perform your activities of daily living with more comfort and ease.
    2. Increases your range of motion
    Stretching regularly can help increase the range of motion of your knee, helping you to move the joint through its full range of motion, thus, decreasing pain and stiffness.
    All kinds of stretching: static and dynamic stretching are effective when it comes to increasing range of motion.
    3. Improves your performance in physical activities and exercises
    Performing dynamic stretches prior to physical activities has been shown to improve your performance in an exercise.
    4. Increases blood flow to your knee muscles
    Performing stretches on a regular basis can improve blood circulation. Improved circulation means more blood flow to your muscles, which can fasten your recovery time and can reduce the soreness in the muscles (delayed onset muscle soreness or DOMS).
    5. Decreases muscle imbalance
    Muscle imbalance is common in the knee joint, where inside structures tend to weaken and outside structures have a tendency to tighten. Therefore, it is important to stretch outside structures and strengthen inside structures, thereby improving balance of muscles around the knee joint.
    6. Improves your posture
    Strengthening and stretching specific muscle groups can reduce musculoskeletal pain and can improve muscle alignment and thus, improve the posture of the knee joint.
    7. Helps to heal and prevent knee pain
    Tight muscles decrease the range of motion of your knee joint. Thus, increasing the likelihood of straining the knee muscles. Stretching helps to heal the knee injury also. Regular stretches can also help to prevent knee pain in future by strengthening your knee muscles, thereby, decreasing the risk of muscle strain.

    Meri mummy ka knee transplant ka right leg ka operation 2 times fail hua hai. Righlt eg knee thodi Sujan hai . Usme dard hota hai, knee me se leg mod nahi pati,chalne me problem hai. Iska koi upay bataye. Ghar pe exercise karte hai

    Sir, you have not advised any glute strengthening exercise among these 7 exercises. I think weak glutes gives lots of problem to the knee

      For strengthening exercises, I have posted another video, in which glutes strengthening is also given. Totally agree that glutes strengthening is important for knee pain..

    Sir my mother suffering from knee pain from last 1 week when she walk-up in morning she find low pain and after whole day working in home she find pain in daily on knees she told me the side areas and back side of knee are more painful areas in his knee what should to do

    I feel stiffness on my right knee . I find difficult to move my leg from knee after standing continuously for few minutes.I feel my rt leg is little fatter then left.I dont know if it is swelling. I do exercises you demonstrated in video.please guide
