    16 and switched from ableton to core of setup to mpc. Us youngins tired of being robots. MPC LIFE!!

      I wouldn’t write off the possibilities of using both Ableton and MPC hardware. I use both and it’s a great time.

      You can do both hardware and software. My workflow is to make everything on hardware and finish in Ableton or your DAW of choice.

      Facts! And you can touch light or push down hard on the pad while holding the note repeat creating some dope dynamics on the fly

    The things with actually playing it live is that it give it a more authentic feel when it comes to velocity as opposed to just a plain 16 just running through. He did good

    My favorite thing about the MPC is I can keep rolling if I have a slew of ideas, especially if you already have some of the sounds loaded or sampled in or you're working with other hardware.

    I've been an fl studio user my entire life. But I started making beats on an old keyboard with a few tracks to record on. I would have to play just the melody as perfectly as possible for 2 or 3 minutes straight then a drum track and etc lmao.
    I haven't had My studio equipment in a little over 4 months now. Basically starting over.
    I'm starting with an Akai MPC key 61. Will be the first time I've made a beat just strictly on a keyboard since I was 16.
    This is going to be fun.

    just sold my MPC ONE two days ago. decided to torture myself, & watched that metro cap vid. & now ave's reaction to that. (youtube so meta. ya gotta love it!!) I really dug the stuff metro cap cooked up there in the kitchen. & I really love hearing ave's insights as he watches it too. very cool. good vibes. helpful tips. & I don't got no MPC. hahaha!! I'm sure I'll get one again some day... but I'll always be cookin' no matter what. great stuff, ave. thanks bunches!!

      @@towerrunner4675 doin' plenty in the DAW--reason 12 & bitwig. (still gotta learn bitwig, though. really cool, really powerful work environment, just really different from what I'm used to.) but I have the synthstrom deluge, the polyend tracker & the digitakt--among bunches of other hardware bits. so, those two cover what I was getting from the MPC ONE.
      if I could get the new school MPC with just the sampling & sequencing capabilities--same I/O & everything--just without all the internal synths & stuff, I'd be all about it. but all that stuff in there... it's just bloat for me. (I know it's pretty good quality, but... I won't use it.) & then they're constantly trying to sell you more of it. it's just really offputting & distracting for me.

      @@doctorauxiliarymusic Thanks. I also wait for that type of MPC. Something like an "MPC Mini" (rumors) with just a touchscreen and 16 pads. A bigger Pocket Operator, if you will 😄.

      @@towerrunner4675 I've heard of that buzz about some sort of mini MPC type thing... & polyend has released the mini tracker to much acclaim, so... hopefully akai will follow suit.... I'd be into it. sounds like you would too.

    i feel like i was forced to use Logic & FL to make beat coming up just because of the cost of the MPC. I started with an MPD 24, MPD32 & a hammy down Alesis photon 25! I didnt get my MPC til this year and love the experience more than anything else, but still struggle some times to get the dynamic sound i want when i make beats on Logic

      Just bounce the stems and get that “sound” in logic when you mix it

    The MPC(One) is a passionate process due to muscle memory being used. I respect FL Studio & VST's but prefer the synth/key hardware Are they good ones worth snagging as a foundation?

      I think the MPC ONE is the perfect entry level groove box with some huge advantages over modern production tools. Less is more frfr

    all my beats made on the mpc keys n im 22 , I got fl , logic , a NI mk3. but nun comes comes close to tht mpc workflow , we just need that fruity Limiter omm

      The MPC limiter or the Maximizer is GOAT bro... I just don't use it because I have LANDR.

    I just got the Fl Key 37, it has note repeat on it. Been cooking beats with the pads on it. They feel nice. Not an mpc, but gets the job done especially combined with Fl Studio FPC.

    I just got my mpc last month definitely fire but Fl studio still slap there a time and place for both especially since most hits and loops are made on Fl studio the listeners love Fl producers but mpc beats be crazy

    Never understood the "more immersed" argument. It's like no one has heard of the omni set up in FL studio where you can play your channels on the pads of your hardware like an mpc.

      @@Kyoju252 longtime fl user and own multiple MPC's myself, including the X. I just don't see it. I've used the MPK with FL, which was great and now the flkeys, even better and you don't even have to touch a mouse if you don't want to, other than deep edit in the piano roll, which is much less tedious than MPC's piano roll. Both the controllers I mentioned have just about any function imaginable that can be linked to user banks. There's just really no valid argument that can be made. Either ppl don't know about their options, too lazy or don't care.

I'm not sure about other controllers, but all of the MPK and Arturia controllers are plug and play right out of the box. Writing python script not necessary. I will agree with the registry key BS with the key though.

      @@badboy69cancer Yeah... the arguments are very subjective. It's like proclaiming a certain type of woman is better than others. I come from a background of using hardware sequencers, drum machines, sound modules, samplers, keyboards, analog mixers, tape recorders, FX units, etc. I still have some of these devices and I can say I don't miss using any of it! No more days of tracking bad cords, patching sh*t together, having numerous adapters to fumble with or needing to trade up equipment. Compared to that workflow, a computer is standalone! The day I decided to switch to a computer workflow was a change for the better and made more sense financially. Why is the MPC always in the conversation with FL Studio and never Abelton Live or other programs?

      Scarlett gets the job done. But the Apollo puts your sound at another level of quality. Sounds louder and cleaner than the 2i2 or any interface at the Scarlett price range

      It's a good budget interface but you'll notice a whole difference once you step into the UA world. Trust, I've own every audio interface on the market.

      @@soulbeatzmajor Id agree, however you can still make the Hi hats more dynamic using 16 levels. Each velocity level enables for pitch, cutoff, envelop, amp attack, pan, sample start, and filter envelope attack...
      Meaning that with arp mode set at "accented" it takes more work to create dynamic hi hats or drum patters that arent 'random' .. Its WAAAy more expressive, especially when you Round robbin your shakers or hi hats.. then you have 4 velocity layers AND all of the above modulation,
