I'm not a FL Studio user, but this update brings a lot of cool features. Snap to scale, combined with key signature markers, is one of those features I was waiting for in any DAW. This is the stuff that soulful chord progressions are made of!
Yeah, been waiting for those features forever. But I tried switching from logic to fl for these, but the Mac version crashed 5 times in my first hour, so I gave up, and hope apple will catch up

I honestly took it for granted that basically every DAW had a feature for integrating hardware. Glad the FL crew can do it, now, too! This is how I have my S2400 set up and it's great.
Thats also a pretty good method for autosampling VSTs or Kontakt libraries with your MPC, if you have FL. For when you plan to leave the studio with your Live or just work in standalone. That audiofuse studio is a solid piece of kit too. I like.

I ditched ableton and now move with FL and mpc vst with / mpc studio. Never made beats so efficiently🎉. After all the talk about converters the MPC still hits the hardest vs other DAWs I think they may have snuck a limiter in somewhere like FL used to but who knows, it’s more transient for sure.
Was on FL studio when it was still fruity loops. This software got in me in game. Haven't touched music in a decade, in the end Reason was my go to DAW.
Dope video as always. I used to run MPC Beats inside FL Studio and it would crash all the time just like you said. But that was back in April of last year before FL 21 Update. So now with the update, do you still set MPC Beats to the FL Sudio ASIO, even though you have that Universal Audio Interface?
@@astonzoyldyk9124 Not really, I tried the other methods Ave mentions and finally ended up getting a cheap audio interface and it was the most plug n play option for me personally. Just run the midi cables in reverse from MPC to interface (IN to OUT and OUT to IN), flip the clock sync switch on the MPC and then set the external sync in FL's MIDI settings to your interface and boom - it should work. Good luck
My experiences...You are able to do the same things with Ableton and Studio One...the Midi clock is the key. Could do the same with the Fantom by itself too. Just gotta find the settings that give instructions to make it clip based, or linear so it'll loop properly. I usually bring things into the MPC like record the Daw notes over midi, instead of bothering with a .mid file. Like sometimes literally pencil everything in and then put the midi out to the MPC. It'll be receiving all that midi data as if it's being played live. That way I could change the notation of the instrument/plugin source after its been recorded into the MPC. Record your audio inputs just as backup too. You not gonna always feel like switching cables around just to play a project you did a while ago.
I am having trouble with my set up. I have an MPCOne, MIDI cables coming going out of MPC and into a m-audio m track and out of the m-audio back into MPC. I am setting up via your instructions but when I hit play it just stops and shows the incorrect bpm in flstudio. The settings just show m-track in flstudio.
Did you select you m-track in fl studio? Did you select the m-track asio drivers? Did you put the midi cable in the midi out of the mpc? Did you put the other side of the cable into the midi in port on your m-track?
@@AveMcree selected m-track at the bottom of MIDI settings in FL. MIDI cable is going out from MPC to in on m-track and another cable is going out from m-track back into MPC. As far as the drivers, m-track ASIO is not showing up. I have ASIO4ALL selected and within that, m-track is selected. How would I get m-track ASIO drivers to show?

I've been FL Gang since I've been 17 and switching over will be a little hurdle but i'm looking for some assistance. I am looking to purchase a new audio interface and replace my Scarlet 2i2. I was looking at the Universal Audio Apollo Twin UAD 2 Solo Core Thunderbolt but there was no option for MIDI but I know its one of the best Audio Interfaces out there. I looked up the one you use but when looking at the MIDI in and out it didn't match up with the ports on the MPC One +. Can you help me with the right choice that would be great?
I did some more research and there seems to be another cable which is the breakout cable that allows for the midi as you use your workflow. Would you say the UA Volt 276 is the best option for MIDI in my case or is there a way I can have both the MIDI on the Apollo Twin?

I don’t have a mixer but can get one. The Tascam is too much for me right now. Is there anything I can do to incorporate these pedals or add some analog warmth to my drums, Melodie’s etc?
the best way to get a send and return signal is to use the output's 3,4 on the MPC Live 2. Then hook up your guitar inputs 1,2 on the MPC Live 2 with the pedal hooked up. Select the output 1,2 and that should work. Since it's a guitar.. You don't need both outputs or inputs. However the setup get better if you use an external audio interface.

Kontakt player isn't an effect & we shouldn't have to use 3rd party software anyways. Every other DAW supports VST3 instruments including Maschine (which is their competition).

Hey Ave how would I use the MPC to do Melodie’s ,progressions,etc but with different vsts and adding patterns but doing everything on the pads on the MPC ?
Make a midi track on your MPC and then on the midi program set the midi port to MPC and then you can play vsts with your pads and record notes and automation into FL to get in in the piano roll or record audio into the playlist if you'd like

Usually you would just use outputs from your interface to the inputs of your MPC. If you plugged into say inputs 1/2 then you gotta make sure the MPC is receiving audio from them. If it's 3/4 in the back make sure you're telling it to receive that input. However if you have no other outputs on your interface besides the main outputs for monitors...then I guess a headphone jack is one way until you need that jack for headphones.
Why not just add the mpc vat inside of fl and use it in controller then u can just explode your tracks and drag them into playlist. Just set your audio driver to mpc and it will use the mpc output audio????? Wouldn't that me a whole lot easier less stressful and better way? Why wouldn't it be?
@@MegaToneProductions it’s Instrument vs Line level. The Reamp converts the signal. If you have instrument level guitar pedals and you smash them with line level signal it distorts and never ends well for the pedal.
His videos translate to the X very well because they are pretty much the same exact machine only a different form factor. I have a live 2 and I cookup on the X at the studio I goto

Audio interface with MIDI IN/OUT is definitely the way to go with an MPC. Save yourself the trouble😂.

will Fl studio sync to another instance on a separate computer? I am about to try this out.

How can I sample back into my MPC without the reamp feature?
Figured it out, using the headphone out from my interface into my inputs on my MPC
Usually you would just use outputs from your interface to the inputs of your MPC. If you plugged into say inputs 1/2 then you gotta make sure the MPC is receiving audio from them. If it's 3/4 in the back make sure you're telling it to receive that input. However if you have no other outputs on your interface besides the main outputs for monitors...then I guess a headphone jack is one way until you need that jack for headphones.
Why not just add the mpc vat inside of fl and use it in controller then u can just explode your tracks and drag them into playlist. Just set your audio driver to mpc and it will use the mpc output audio????? Wouldn't that me a whole lot easier less stressful and better way? Why wouldn't it be?
Please explain to me why the reamp feature is of value.
because you can send audio back to the drum sampler
How is that so much different then just using the ins?
@@MegaToneProductions it’s Instrument vs Line level. The Reamp converts the signal. If you have instrument level guitar pedals and you smash them with line level signal it distorts and never ends well for the pedal.

When you record your drums tho it’s only an audio file so you won’t really be able to edit it much in fl. That’s not that great.

I’m wondering that too cuz too cuz I connect my MPC x and MODX 6 to my PC via USB. And I hook up speakers to my MPCX for audio.

switch to ableton trust me i know DAW doesnt make any difference but its a bit more straight forward than FL
