What nobody says about Volcas is you can run them with alcaline batteries (1.5V) or rechargeable ones (1.2V), there's a setup option for that in order for them to run at the correct voltage and it's very useful.
Luke's demos are always fantastic; useful, musical & fun. Watching this gave me a bit of GAS, but I've passed on all the volcas so far, as although they sound good, I'd be replicating/ duplicating existing equipment in my setup It's strange they're showing videos for this and other older products now, but maybe the sales need an overall boost &/ or an older product range needs clearing out to make way for something(s) new. In any event, here's hoping there's a new workstation /and or mega synth on the horizon.🌅
Kinda strange of Korg releasing their pres videos years after. I don’t know it is like a new marketing idea to empty inventory before end of product cycle 🤷🏻♂️
Unfortunately just time will give us the answer. Korg is so passive about answering question, comments and criticism. It's even more passive about updates. They have a lot of improving potential with the Volcas and the Drumlogue, for exemple
Cool little sampler, I like it :). I think Korg would ugrade firmware and add some cool stuff something like Pajen Firmware that turn korg volca sample into more cool machine :)
Is fun to play with but I have never been able to import my own samples with this one with the software editor on pc, might try again ! Update i tried again for an hour with the newer librarian software and new usb driver, lots of different cables in case it was that .. and failed 😭, volca sampler 2 not detected
I was out of the loop on this one. Thought it was a new product. Was there a Sample 1 before this? This thing sounds killer ( -even though it's just 32 khz sampling rate. ). Love the interface and dignal flow too. Is the ONLY way to get your own samples into this machine via USB connection to computers? If so, that sucks!
It's frustrating because I love romplers and it would be awesome if they made a Volca Trinity, especially if it had a screen showing the patch name like the FM2. I want to like the Sample 2 because it has good MIDI control - the Drum and FM2 are the only other Volcas that you can send full patch info to over MIDI - but the Sample 2 app is broken and always has been. I don't think it even works on MacOS, and on Windows it has SERIOUS driver issues. Honetly I would think it was fine if it didn't let you upload samples at all, but instead it has a completely broken librarian app, so you might change the samples (or get a used one) and then not even be able to get it back to the factory samples. It's unfortuante that Korg can't make a working app, but instead they have a whole office in Berlin working on stuff that literally nobody cares about. They should at least give us a working way to factory reset the Sample 2.
Valid complaints. I reset my samples and patterns a few years ago and havent touched it since. Even if they don't do a firmwsre update (to allow downloading samples through the usb port), they could at least fix that app.
I can't stand Micro USB, but it's a LOT less annoying when it's just for uploading samples to a $150 Volca. The $400 Roland Boutiques that ONLY give you Micro USB for wired power really drive me crazy.
what a nice overview, you do it so clearly and peacefully nice❤ thank you! just starting to wonder what a trubaduuri would have use for it simply

@@Taeodoestech I've never found a way to import samples using either of the apps on a pc, very disappointing
KORG TRITON STUDIO. KORG TRITON EXTREME FOR IPAD PRO? ❤

Too soon for a Vintage Volca
31.25kHz is not for me
