The only really bad part of Arc-V is the ending - no spoilers, but it's so ham-fisted, it really does kill the buzz of the anime in those last few episodes.
The most satisfying thing to do with the deck is going second opening with a power bond ultimate ancient gear golem and the rank 4 train xyz to use its effect to target golem to attack directly for 8800 damage and they can't activate anything to stop the attack xD

Geartown can't special Ancient Gear Golem whereas Catapult and Fortress can because they ignore its (Golems) summoning conditions. Just a heads up

Curse of Anubis!!! Chaos Giant is unaffected by traps and you can summon most of your monsters after activating it so it won't affect you as much! Gotta take advantage of that piercing!!!
With Catapult, if you destroy Geartown, you will miss the timing for the activation of Geartown's effect because Geartown will try to activate as soon as it's destroyed whilst you are summoning with Catapult's effect. I know Wikia says you can do it, but it's wrong. At least by accepted TCG practice in similar circumstances for "when" effects.
Great Deck Profile Cyberknight! Ancient Gears are one of my favorite archetypes, I really hope that Ultimate Ancient Gear Golem gets a reprint, it has skyrocketed recently for only having two prints (one in a Duel Terminal, not everyone had access to those) and it is very important for almost every build.
The iron wolf train xyz is so underrated. If you have it and a single reactor dragon you can usually do an instant 6000 to opponents life points.

Just saw the Vid. You can use a copy of "Magical Hats", by using 2 Geartowns and with their effect summon 2 AG monsters in theend phase. Also "Gear Gigant X" is a wonderful searcher since you got mostly LVL 4 machines. And instead of going for two "Reactor Dragons", you can SP.summon a "Wyvern" and with it's effect add "Box" and "Gadget" and with the 2nd SP.Summon bringing "Hunting Hound" gaining instand access into "Chaos Ancient Gear Giant". Hope I helped.
i have a different build of this deck that i use because i'd been waiting for the support to come out for a while. but yeah for the extra deck another suggestion would be galaxy eyes cipher with darkmatter, adding a kaiju like spider, and using the field spell to change out now and again as side deck black rose garden, and machine duplication.

That Ulti 1st ed Ancient Gear Golem, love it, that card is hard to find NM though, very nice profile
Add in Rare Metal Morph that's a really good Trap Card run 2 or 3 if you can
If someone's on a tight budget, they can use 2 of horn of heaven instead of solemn strike

Someone at my locals was running Gryphon's Feather Duster in his build, idk how good it is in this deck but it sure is a unique choice lol.
my deck is similar to yours but since I don't have ultimate gear golem or solemn strike I have some different cards I really like using ojama trio in my deck for bricking the opponent with spam tokens and giving easy targets for chaos giant
power bond is risky because you know, end of the turn where this card is used, you take damage equal to its original attack points but its worth it for potential OTKs for ancient gears
I would definitely add that 3rd Terraforming because Geartown is way too important for your combos and warrants the maximum, especially since you play Twin Twisters
Reactor dragons like a more better version of golem since it can be special summoned and can do what golem does but adding monsters effects and you can destroy a spell or trap

Ancient gear golem can't be special summoned. Therefore you can't get him from gear town. The only way to get him is by catapult

first of, i just want to say that ancient gears got a lot stronger because of the new support cards they've been getting in the last 2 sets and also from the arc v episodes and the anime as a whole which is totally underrated in my opinion but ancient gears can be risky because even tho they can negate spells and traps during the damage step, monster effects can also hurt the deck as well which is really good but its understandable
The newer Ancient Gears can negate all effects during the battle phase. And I don't see how the older ones only negating spells and traps would be risky. They're still negating spells and traps, as opposed to other monsters not negating anything. Just because the old ones don't negate monsters doesn't make it risky. Monsters usually can't negate effects during battle anyways. Where's the added risk?
You cant summon golem with town , only with catapult and howitzer. I tried the Zodiac engine. Popping your geartown with barrage is AWESOME
I added a few toon ancient gear golem because the normal ancient gear golem cannot be special summoned but the toon can

don't use power bond cuz howitzer and giant are unaffected by spells and traps so they don't get their atk doubled.

Jony 1660 nope they get boosted because they gain this effect before they are summon so they are effecktet. (it works also on devpro btw)

I like ur deck builds way more than teamsamurai u explain the decks way better and unlike them u don't say every deck is the best deck like they do.
With powerbond though you need to know how to play it not just use it.

I know this might be a stupid question but hunting hound can you use its fusion effect in hand or does it have to be out on the field? The text does seems to enforce it being on the field but just thought I'd double check.

I don't like Ancient Gear Reborn, I prefer Magnet Reverse. I can only summon Howitzer, but I have no constraints of "0 monsters"

Have you considered running Foolish Burial Goods in this as a way to drop Catapult to the graveyard which then can be used to pop your Geartown/Fortress without the need of having no monsters? My build runs 2 copies

were there alternative versions of the ancient gear decks? mine started with "ancient gear gadjiltron dragon" as the first/cover card of the deck.
as a recommendation i would like to suggest toon ancient gear golem instead of the regular golem

Killergriff3 it counts as a ancient gear and you can special summon it with geartown, catapult, and fortress he can't attack on special summon bit he is a free wall and he is a free material for fusion summoning

add brilliant fusion? so that if you have gear town you can summon ancient gear gadget then summon reactor dragon right off the bat without having to wait

Killergriff3 gear town makes reactor only need one tribute, brilliant fusion into seraphinite will give you an extra normal summon, so you summon gadget, then summon reactor dragon

Wtf? Where the hell is the synergy between Blue-Eyes and Stardust? You can't summon Stardust Dragon in Blue-Eyes unless you're playing Arkbrave with it, which you're not gonna do outside of Blue-Eyes Felgrand.
Besides which, Assault Mode is so outdated that Cyberknight probably won't even bother.

summons chaos giant with power bond attacks into a def monsters with zero def gets dimension walled proceeds to face palm because I didn't have ancient gear hydra
also I love ancient gears and I got my ultra rare ancient gear golem signed by kaiba so awsome

dimensional barrier doesn't effect him it affects the damage done by him so its like getting magic cylindered but without it actually affecting the monster which is why I said I wish I had ancient gear hydra out so that my opponent wouldn't be able to use the card at all
dimension wall is the one card in the game that can counter chaos giant that isn't a monster/a solemn card

look at the top decks in Japan right now...
tldr, no the gear decks suck and they are a tier 3 deck. The meta in Japan has Dinosaurs being a tier 1 deck and are winning tournaments. Plus the new set coming out soon gives even MORE dinosaur support.
Ancient Gears are by no means tier 3. Tier 3 is borderline unplayable. Ancient Gears have one of the best boss monsters this format, and can make an easy True King of All Calamities. They're a solid tier 2 choice, but not meta.

Yes they're at least tier 2 imo. I've seen the deck even manage to beat dinos on some instances so it's a pretty solid deck but of course against most meta decks it gets stomped but it's not tier 3, tier 3 would be like cyberdarks or some shit lol.
