Had the pleasure of having dinner with her at the Troubadour in West LA where she was performing in 1964. She was fantastic! My two favorite songs were We'll Sing in the Sunshine and the Prism song.

A pretty radical song for its time. Great story song.

Wrong, sorry. It's just your perception. I was there. Those were radical times. Much more so than today.

My dad loved this song so much he used it as a lullaby for me....I never heard it on the radio, so it took me forever to find it! I am such a fan of Gale Garrett, gad to buy all of her stuff!

When I started college, this song was a big favorite in the dining area. I love hearing it again!

thank you again for another rare Gale Garnett treat!!! This is probably her 2nd most remembered song, as the B-side of her big hit. I recall many actually remembering this one even more fondly than the song it was supposed to be backing up!

11 years old when i first heard this on the flip side of “we’ll sing in the sunshine” on 45RPM.
loved listening to the chorus repeat - but this time, 50+ years later, i suddenly understood the rest of its content - like i never heard the lyrics the dozens of times i played the record.

I had the same 45! I want to say it had a black label . . . maybe RCA. It came from my grandparents' jukebox along with several other gems.

When going throught some old papers, I found I had written this song down many years ago (50+?). Although I didn't remember it, it must have impressed me at the time, so I googled it and came up with this video. I have always enjoyed Gale Garnet!

If you ever met Gale in person you would never forget it. She was VERY sensual and sexy and also very polite. I met her in an airport coffee shop on my way to Vietnam in 1968. She was with a guy (boyfriend, agent or both) , so I did not say much. She noticed my uniform and said that she would pray for me. I made it back.

Great to reflect back to the 60's. Always loved We'll Sing in the Sunshine, and recently became more intrigued. How did Gale Garnett handle relationships later in life? She wrote this song in her early 20's during a cultural shift, which may have influenced her early perception of relationships. Did she get married and have a family??

My Grandmother Dolly use to listen to Gale Garnett all the time when I was a kid on her HiFi. I never realized the darkness to this song until I listened to it again today some 50 years later.

We'll sing in the sunshine on the flipside of my old 45.. I liked them both I sang a lot and loudly.... No one evercame to say a word about it to me.. weird and isolated again like that in my later years . Funny things to remember.
