I’m in that group and watched this after seeing some comments about this. This is sooo well said. People pay for the hype (won’t name names but if you know you know) and frown on cheaper baits. I wonder how expensive bucca bull shads would be if he only released 50 a month 🤷♂️. And absolutely spot on with regurgitation. That group is full of those people, and there was a post a month ago or so that went viral discussing that topic. My absolute favorite swimbait is a hudd 68, cheap enough to where I can skip it under a dock and it absolutely gets smashed.

I’ve fished rivers my whole life and I just found out about you 11 weeks ago when I got stuck in Saudi Arabia at work and I’m pretty sure I’ve watched every video since I’ve been here and I’m dying to get back to the USA and try out some new skills on the lake.

Same here. I can't stand how people treat each other. I still see it on TH-cam sometimes but it's definitely not as bad as Facebook. People on Facebook are some of the most toxic human beings. I personally got away from the swimbait groups exactly for the reasons you stated in this video. I can't stand those people who think just because they can afford to buy a 100 + dollar swimbait it ultimately makes them a better fisherman. Same goes for rod and reels just because you have 500$ plus set up doesn't mean you're a better fisherman then the guy using Shakespeare. I personally love and use lew's abu garcia and 13fishing rods and reels and gues what I'm no better then anyone else who maybe using a Walmart special. Fishing is supposed to be a fun sport that we all can share our catches and stories and so on with other's.
And yes we all have our secret spots or secret techniques but we should also be sharing information too to help other's. When new people come into the fishing scene and they see all this negativity it can cause them to be hesitant about asking questions or sharing pics. It's truly sad the direction the fishing community has gone in and I truly hope it can be turned around and put back to the fun sport it's meant to be.
Back in Roland Martin's days it wasn't so cut throat and judgemental about what you used, it was all about the fact that you were fishing and having fun period. I haven't seen this 6th sense swimbait but I would love too even though I don't typically fish 6th sense and it's not that I hate them I just have so much stuff that I haven't needed to order anything in a long time. But when I do I plan on trying out 6th sense lures. Tightlines everyone and let's put the negativity aside and just all have a good time fishing 🎣
