Nothing better than offshore fishing, I wait for this all year long. You are dropping game on everyone just getting started that took me years to figure out. Not many will do that, you're a real one for that. See you at the classic dude 🤙

Not only you're a great fishermen, but an awesome teacher (22.44lbs in an hour and 45 minutes). I really like the way you point out the thermocline. Because, I had no idea about the thermocline and how the fish stay above that layer of water. Thank God for all your knowledge and helping us learn more about what to look for.

It’s hard to find people on TH-cam who actually tell you and show you things to help you get better and not just try to sell you a certain product. Keep up the good work. Look forward to seeing you at the classic. (Let me rephrase that win the classic)

Best fishing series on youtube ever!!!! And screw those people, tell us the lakes for crying out loud. As if the point of the series is not that this can be done on any lake. Plus, you can look at the “excellent rating” on lake Tyler, which TPW does not give many lakes and know it’s a good lake. Most people ain’t going to drive that far.

I don’t understand the fear that fishermen have, not just on youtube, but in general, of education. I understand the sacredness of secrecy, but there is nothin wrong w helping others become better anglers. Could make the difference between a kid puttin down a pole in frustration and pickin up something terrible like a soccer ball. Joking, but you know what I mean. There’s much worse things to be doing than immersing yourself in the outdoors. Keep doing what you’re doing and don’t change a thing no matter what people cry about. Love the channel, love the series.

Your video kinda proves Randy right! You just show us how easy it is to catch a 20+ lb bag. Let’s see you do the same thing in the same time without FFS. I had an experience the other day at the ramp on the Harris Chain. I met 3 dudes, from up north somewhere, one just moved here and had bought a new Bass Cat with a 300 hp merc and 4 graphs. They had hundreds of waypoints in the GPS. They are Software engineers who had never really fished since they were kids. In a half a day they caught 11 fish between the 3 of them. 6 of them were over 4.5 lbs. They were keeping all of them, despite the fact that half of them were illegal. They caught them using Penn 10 ft surf rods paired to 5000 reels with 30 lb braid tied to circle hooks. They picked up Shiners at Ace Hardware. They said they just went from point to point scanning and casting their lines out. ARE YOU SURE THAT IT”S NOT CHEATING? When I see 3 guys that can barely get their boat back on the trailer land a 25+ bag it sure makes it seem like it is a super easy thing to accomplish.

100% its gonna hurt lakes all over the country. Just give it a few years and people will be complaining about how the lakes suck. I compare it to the mojo spinning wing duck decoys and why states with a lot of hunting pressure had to ban them.

Trying to get some of their original audience back. It isn't working out for them though. For several reasons, not just because Ben has a big duplicitous mouth.
Because watching tournaments used to be one of the only ways to learn about successful new techniques, because the pros were using and winning with the new technique. That was only possible if you had cable TV OR Satellite TV.
But with the Internet taking away viewers from cable TV. Like LTE and 5G has made landlines, satellite/CABLE TV lose a lot of money, people are just less dependent on watching tournaments. That explains why bass fishing tournaments are losing sponsors.
Their audience already has shrunken down to mostly competition fans. Finding out what the winners were using doesn't depend on watching the show anymore.
Dropshot fishing became popular only after it started winning Bassmaster tournaments in the early 90s. But it, like wacky rigging was a well kept secret by the pros for many years before those tournament wins.
So..... Here's the reason why tournaments are reluctant to ban or limit Livescope. It makes success in tournaments easier for less talented people. That's why Junk Fishing isn't something embarrassing anymore, like it used to be in the 1990s.
With all the increases in tournament anglers, shouldn't the fees and prizes increased along with the participants?
They used to be much higher in the 1990s when Walmart owned FLW.
HIGH PRODUCTION COSTS AND LEGACY MEDIA REQUIREMENTS are just too expensive for the competitive bass fishing audience. It's as simple as that. That's probably why tournaments are very reluctant to provide the data they already have. They need to make tournament participants and fans of tournament fishing make up the loss in advertising revenue.
But reducing the awards and prizes won't make professional tournament bass fishing more appealing to the general public. Making fishing easier for the general public might make it more appealing to the general public.
That's why using Livescope, no matter how it takes the recognition away from the most talented and experienced anglers, is not something the old school bass fishing families, that used to have a monopoly on the sport, are reluctant to give it up.
But unfortunately, it also causes professional bass fishing to lose it's magic and allure to the general public. It just looks like catching and harassing fish more than it does what it used to be, a master angler calling in the fish and charming them into taking his hook. Those days are over.

Love the series. You are above my knowledge and skill, the only way or rule I can think of, that would be challenging for you is a no electronics lake break down. Awesome video! Thanks for getting the live scope video recorded, I learned a lot just from those clips. Can’t wait to get out on my local lake.

Thanks for this advice. I really appreciate seeing your process of finding them combined with how you go about catching them. Suggest discussion about retrieve specifics when it is key. Here seeming like they were hitting on the drop, so I get not much to talk about in that regard on this one.
