Lures, especially soft plastics can only be made so many ways!!! It’s all about what the angler wants to buy. Do they want some that are heavier? Do they want some that are softer? More durability? I can go on and on.
This is exactly why I buy zman soft plastics.try to find baits as cheap yet soft and durable as zman.

I loved the Googans when they first came out. A group of "backyard anglers" is the correct way to describe them. But as things tend to happen when you blow up, things change. I miss the bank fishing videos, and the grind they were on. I will always respect the fact that they built a brand from the ground up.

It’d be nice if the 1/4 wasn’t brought up every minute but when the internals look the same the lengths are the same and bills the same it is kind of suspicious, love the soft googan baits but 6th sense is where it’s at for hard baits

You may want to rewatch the video. He said a lot more than they weighed the same. Almost all brands are similar but he said they were exact same dimensions and shape with the same bill design. I couldn’t care less either way I have both brands in my boxes and do great with both. I figure most are like me and can tell different brands apart by their shape. I probably got a dozen different brands and have no trouble telling them apart. Wish the best for both channels but down playing his accusations doesn’t really address the issue.

And Ben accused the googans of stealing baits. He made big claims against the squad which could have destroyed the googans. Had they actually stolen products they would have been sued and put out of business.
Edit: millikan was clout chasing think about how many people subbed to him after that video.
Catch co did address it the next day they posted pretty much saying the same thing you guys did That everyone has pretty much based their lures off lucky craft for years and you can put 20 lures next to each other and they are gonna look similar.

Is sucks once an influencer blows up and signs with a brand regardless of which... because u lose the authenticity and freedom to use any baits or any rods or any lures etc. too give honest feedback and introduce so many more new fisherman to the SPORT of fishing and not the BRAND of fishing... but that’s the name of this game.

I when I first started watching the Googans I was 100 percent in!! I find myself not watching as much because its kinda moved away from really focusing on the fishing as much and not really as good for the younger crowd anymore because of all the drinking and fraternity like behavior that can be awesome for adults but not for young kids. Losing the magic in that aspect. 😔

Was gonna say the same thing myself. All you see on their Instagram stories is teenagers and younger taken pictures of bait walls or two or three baits saying how great they are. Googans definitely got a big head when they came out with their baits and decided to patent all them when the rage craw has been out before them and only thing they change is adding a few little legs and say it’s their idea. Now only LFG and Jon are the best ones to keep fishing

There is a difference between the audiences of LOJO and the googans, and Milliken and others. Without a doubt people (mostly kids) comprise the googan channels who are your maybe more average weekend, bank fishermen and women. But the serious tournament anglers with 250's on their glass boats who I would say watch some Milliken videos and pro's videos, don't watch googan videos or for that matter buy googan baits. There is very little tournament angling form googan besides their sponsored pros who they pay the bills for. Guys looking to learn about tournaments don't really have any interest in watching someone stock their backyard pond. Just my thoughts.

Your valid on the idea that it is mostly random kids but you realize that Jacob Wheeler uses Giovanni baits in his tournaments and he won the world championship.
Scott Martin qualified for bass master classics throwing googin baits all last year and he’s IMO one of the top 5 current popular anglers . Not saying I like googan baits because the action is shit but a lot of tourney pros are using them.
Googan would be better off without Scott in my opinion. But I don’t respect or even remotely like Scott as a person or fisherman so I guess I’m biased in that way.

That’s what I was thinking. Maybe just from a biased stand point, I was recommended to KTBTV by some serious anglers, and LoJo wasn’t ever even the topic of discussion until Noah brought him in. But, I’m not involved in any of it so I’m just glad I can like all three of them without causing feelings lol

Dude seriously? Being an army vet like myself I expected I little more from you which is why I watch your channel. I don’t watch any of the other Googan because I don’t care for them. Majority of all baits out there look the same. Hate to say it but look at every brand of baits whether it be from their soft plastics to their hard baits they ALL look similar. It’s like buying a truck. They all have very similar aspects but there is something different that draws you in. I am a huge 6th sense fan. I love what they make. I love the way they promote their stuff. It’s strictly fishing. Not igloo coolers. Everyone on TH-cam that supports 6th sense fishing and puts videos out there they are all about fishing. Every aspect of fishing where as let’s watch Googan squad try to jump a dirt bike or drop a bait box from a tower. When in the world am I ever going to be that high to drop a bait box. I mean come on dude. I am in huge support of Milliken Fishing and Kickin fishing. Was a big fan of you till we keep going on and on about this crap.

I’d also like to add, now that I’ve watched the whole thing. I’ve been away from the scene for about 5 months. And it’s awesome to see, but confusing as well. YakPak spending more time with the Googans. Did y’all sponsor him? And if so, I hope him and Norm still consistently collab. Those two not being together would be like, you and badger splitting up.
YakPak got invited to come to Googan week as do many youtube fisherman and woman. I believe Fishing with Becca got invited to come to Googan week this past time. She is also an affiliate bc she reps googan products but thats all it is. YakPak may be an affiliate with them now like Ayo is as he stated in the podcast. But he's not in the squad or anything like that. He went right back to Florida and met up with Norm. Those two will still be filming a ton together in 2021. Hope that helps explain a little and pls don't quote me on any of this but I believe this is how it works. Watch Lojo's first podcast and Ayo explains how he and others become affiliated with Googan.

Yo lojo, I believe the best thing you can do is build a loft, build a mini room to do the pod casts, as for the paddle boards and kayaks, you can set up a pulley system for them, it won't take up much room and you can access them from the ground floor. Also if you get into camping and hunting, if you decide to add a rack to your truck and a rtt, you can always make a pulley system for that too to take it off and put on easily. Also get a hose bib installed right outside your hanger thing to rinse off your boat, and since there will already be plumbing there.. Maybe a catch and cook sink to clean fish... Mini kitchen maybe. Exterior maybe, to not stick the inside... There are also warehouse heaters that hang from the ceiling... Add reflective paper to ta walls to stay insulated

Well y’all are completely ignoring the fact googan had the exact same internal chambers the exact same rattles and everything. Not to mention the fact that catchco said that the googans did not design those crankbaits but they bought the blanks from a Chinese factory. Still love yours, flair, LFGs and JonBs videos. I believe his claims are very valid in regards to the hardbaits.

EXACTLY. The whole argument that “well they’re all crankbaits so everyone ripped off the first one who did it” is downright arrogant. Anybody can make a crankbait but most manufacturers will take a slightly different approach to a proven bait. Example: Redeye shad vs the bill lewis rattle trap. Both liplesses, but are slightly different. BUT when you make the same bait down to the position of the weights in the chamber that’s fucked up. That’s what the googans did. And it’s wrong and bad for the industry, especially when their marketing themselves as “unique”

First off, the Googans have been grinding for over a decade. It's not an overnight success. They have worked hard and its paid off. Lojo fits well with them. I don't understand the hate. I would fish with them anytime, wish they were in Cali. I would full on rep because they represent the American idea of working hard and creating your own. How could you go wrong. Hats off!!!

I use to watch Googans all the time. But since making the decision to focus on tournament fishing, I do find myself watching more Milliken and other tournament anglers. I think Googan channels are great but I think most of the audience are young kids, weekend anglers and all around outdoor guys. If you want a little bit of everything watch a Googan!
dude miliken measured every lure with a micrometer every dimension possible, cut them in half to show cross-sections etc and weighed them on a scale that a freaking drug dealer would use and the googan/mystery tackle box lures were the same in every way shape and form. he even mentions in the video everybody has similar lures but to be the same in every single measurable way they were a complete rip off of 6th sense.
Nuff said.
Are you kidding me? The rattles sounded different. The paint is different. The eyes are different. The Gil plates are different. And he even said himself in the video that the bills on the crankbaits were different. Even the sizes were a little different. And when you see him hold them next to each other to the eye you can see that the curvature is slightly different too. All of that in itself kills the point of his video.
The only thing that makes them similar is the amounts of BBs used and the fact that they both had treble hooks. That’s literally it. And if you compare ANY other brand of crankbaits they will ALL be fairly similar. And OF COURSE they weigh the same on a scale. They’re literally labeled with their weights on their boxes for a reason, to be that exact weight.

@@tylerguhh2704 just because the eyes, gillplates and paint are different doesn’t mean its not somewhat of a copy. Last time I checked, Strike King didn’t use the exact same shape as the rattle trap. When the BBs and weights are arranged in the exact same way internally, with as you said, the same number of BBs, that’s not cool. They could’ve made the same shape with different internals and that would’ve been fine but when they directly applied specific aspects of the 6th sense baits to the googans, along with the same specs and general shape, it’s basically a copy.
@@kevinzap.fishing it may have been the same number of BBs but that’s irrelevant since Milikan said himself in the video that there is a difference in plastics used between the two companies so the rattle is going to sound different regardless.
And he should have brought in a 3rd party to prove his point. How do we know there isn’t 8 BBs in the original rattle trap as well?
@@tylerguhh2704 just because the plastics are different doesn’t justify that the internals were identical. If they would’ve just made the internals a little bit different, and made the body slightly different, it would’ve been a lot more unique but in my opinion, some shortcuts were taken here.
Everybody copies everybody. People just wanna attack the Googans because they used TH-cam at their platform for their success. The Googans are the majority of the reason there are so many new anglers. Why people mad about that? Now more people know the greatness of fishing
The thing i dont like about googan is the stuff is just over priced and pushed down your throat when there's plenty of different options but I do understand it's their brand and that's what you have to do to get sales.

Very interesting insight on today’s cast. I watched bens video. A few take aways for those who didn’t watch:
Ben notes the following differences:
-different eyes, gills and scale patterns.
-same weight and some size specs similarity
-one tail similarity.

-body shape is not the same (you can see the contour differences once he cuts them in half)
End of the day though not enough evidence that Googan ripped 6th sense. Inspired maybe but that’s the fishing industry and a slew of others that do that (mobile phones for example)

Well if u measure and weigh cranks and they are the same type of crank wouldn’t they come out the same? I don’t think lojo is making excuses but just calling out the bs that was in the vid. ( I love both and even I prefer the 6th sense cranks over googan just because the variety of colors)
Don’t really care about the brands or what you’re apart of but Milliken and KTB are way better fisherman then everyone in the squad besides LFG so I enjoy watching them a little bit more imo.
debatable, I think if Jon b and alex would put time into a place I think they are better than both ktb and Milliken
Ktb fishes at easy ponds. I still enjoy his content but you can't go to every pond and catch fish like he does. The googans fish a lot of public water which isnt like those private ponds ktb fishes with fletcher
@@tobygarrison7425 Exactly I do admit that a lot of the big fish that googan squad catches are from private ponds but I’ve seen Jon b, peric and LFG catch big fish from public pressured lakes.
Millikan is way better fisherman than the googan guys. He knows what he’s doing.
