I’ve been dying my hair purple (manic panic /artic Fox) for 15+ years... no matter what you use you can’t expect your brown hair to look the same as your blonde, that’s just not how hair dye works.
That wasn't the issue here, I knew brown was going to stay brown as that's how I styled my hair at that point. Because of my user error, the color was uneven on the actual blonde parts.
I'm not sure what the problem is. Your hair looks beautiful. Manic panic is a fantastic hair dye product and frankly, there would be no Arctic Fox with out manic panic. They started the temporary crazy colors.
Manic panic has a newer formula called formula 40, it's a hot topic exclusive, but the vampire red has been in my hair for over 6 months and it's still pretty red, just closer to a deep rose color now
If your hair is Different tones it will be Darker or Lighter in parts but I think this colour looks Lovely on you am Doing mine purple this week mine needs Doing again
I know that I'm a year late to the party, but your hair looks gorgeous! It has SO much dimension, it just looks absolutely incredible! Best happy accident I've ever seen 😘
Yeah exactly! Hairdressers usually go for varying tones and more dimension than just one flat colour all the way through, that's actually how they can usually tell the difference between a professional and unprofessional dye job haha
Looks great on camera. You wouldn't want a solid all-over coverage anyway. It's like having "natural" purple hair with natural highlights. I think it looks very expensive and professional.
Thanks for posting this! I’m looking at getting this exact same product (even the same color!). Although I will usually at least skim over the directions, even with ones that I’ve used before, I feel like that’s one I might have missed also! I’m still trying to wrap my head around not needing a developer with a semi! Lol!
I like the vibrancy of this purple over the Artic Fox Purple Rain video. Both looked great, just liked this one more. Definitely going to try this one 😀
I’m a professional stylist & tried this exact color line (gel color was Pink Warrior). My client is a natural level 3, and I’ve been doing her hair all over pink for the past 7yrs. Anywho, We used Special Effects hair color in the past but we had to switch to something else because we can no longer find that brand anymore. We tried Manic Panic Prof Gel. I lifted her hair to a level 8, applied this color and same thing happens to her. It’s all pink, but in some spots it looks like the hair absorbed more color because some spots are a brighter pink and some spots are a darker pink.
@@slashedbeauty no we made the same mistake, we dried her hair before we applied the color. When she sent me after pics, I saw your video and told her to try applying it again over wet hair to see if it would even out some of the color. We’ll see what happens 🤞🏼🤞🏼
Manic Panic hair Gel??? I have heard of Manic Panic Hair Dye... But not the Gel. I wonder what the difference is??? I am also a Artic Fox Fan over Manic Panic. Manic Panic hair Dye did not help my poor hair like Artic Fox help me hair. Artic Fox is also a hair mask.
Manic Panic sucks, I'm sorry to say but the color doesn't last 30 days. Not even dude, its like 5 days until it starts to fade. Artic fox dye is amazing and shows way better results! (Even without using bleach) I'm sorry to see that you had a bad experience, but girl.. did you really think it was gunna work? Like its gel dude... lol
Yeah arctic fox lasts way longer than this, and the color is just more even. I heard so many great things about this new formula (it's different than their typical stuff you buy at sally-- it's pro use only) so I thought maybe it could actually live up to the claims!
It depends on your hair. I have coarse, porous hair, and manic panic lasts for months for me, until I actively start trying to remove it. I've also tried arctic fox (that smell dude...just no for me), and a few others, but for ME, MP works the best. The professional gel stuff works even better, though I have to order it from the UK to get my hands on it, as I'm not a professional.

Exactly, very true! The entire head of hair had to be lightened.
That wasn't the issue here, I knew brown was going to stay brown as that's how I styled my hair at that point. Because of my user error, the color was uneven on the actual blonde parts.
@Yury Acosta I can’t believe I commented this 3 years ago, wow. I recommend Pravana vivids for staying power or artic Fox for value per oz.

This is late but it's brighter in the front because it was lightened more.
oh for sure, but that section alone was super inconsistent too!
Manic panic has a newer formula called formula 40, it's a hot topic exclusive, but the vampire red has been in my hair for over 6 months and it's still pretty red, just closer to a deep rose color now
WOAH! That's super impressive!!
If your hair is Different tones it will be Darker or Lighter in parts but I think this colour looks Lovely on you am Doing mine purple this week mine needs Doing again
Thanks, Joanne, and good luck!!
Where one sees failure, I find success! The results are actually lovely and less boring than the solid color. U look lovely ☺️
Thanks so much!
I had the same result with the permanent color i think its better like that it makes it look like fancy art work that happened by accident
I know that I'm a year late to the party, but your hair looks gorgeous! It has SO much dimension, it just looks absolutely incredible! Best happy accident I've ever seen 😘
Thank you so much! 🥰

That's a nice way to look at it!!
The lighter the hair the brighter and bolder the dye

Lol it was a learning experience for sure!
That hair color Looks so good on you !!
I looove the purple. Thanks for watching!
I love your hair color so pretty you looking gorgeous with that hair color.
Thanks! I'm definitely sticking with the purple.
I like the vibrancy of this purple over the Artic Fox Purple Rain video. Both looked great, just liked this one more. Definitely going to try this one 😀
Awesome!!
I actually love your hair color. Looks fabulous
Thank you so much! I did like the more neon appearance of this!

That's so weird!! Did you also do it over wet hair?

@@geministylist81 If you remember, I'd love an update! I didn't ever try this color again after this experience lol
@@slashedbeauty so today my client sent me an after pic of the 2nd application she did with her hair wet, and it evened out the color 👍🏼👍🏼
Well, I really appreciate this video. I just washed and blow dried hair already and then I watched your video. So had to go back and dampen it.
Glad I could help in some way 😖
It's beautiful on you!
Hi 😊 what color did you use? It looks Beautiful!
Yasssss🙌🙌 new video🙌 can never miss out your videos🤗 I love your lip colour and yes your hair color😘😘😘
Aw thanks so much for watching sanny!
Which purple Tone u use?
Nice hair what is the colour??
Love Power Purple
I’m just here watching her lips though I came to learn howda dye my hair
Semi permanent hair color is typically applied to damp hair
This is the first semi that I've used that hasn't recommended clean dry hair actually!
Manic Panic isn't. I don't know about others, but I always see it applied on dry hair.
Entry
But your hair look great? I think i might actually try this!
Thanks! I just didnt think it looked even, some patches were much brighter than others! If you try this, be sure to do it on wet hair!
@@slashedbeauty ❤️❤️
Doing it wet would have made sure it was more even. I found that out first hand lol
Yup!! Lol
Used Arctic Fox purple and the hair came out maroon.... even after we lightened the hair
Weird.
You look nice what is the colour fron manic banic???
love power purple
@@slashedbeauty 💘💘
I loved your hair. Beautiful color. 😍😍😍😍
This is a gorgeous color on you
Thanks so much, Hannah!
When you washed it did you wash it with shampoo and treatment
no, you just rinse it out.

Yeah, I loved arctic fox because it really helped repair my hair after bleaching!
I love the color.
Thank you Luanne! Happy Holidays!
How much hair did 1 25ml bottle cover?
A little more than half my head
@@slashedbeauty thanks! I have medium/short mullet length and I think I’m gonna save money by getting the smaller bottles
Love the colour😍😍
Thanks Gillian! If it came out even I think it would have been perfect!
It still looks gorgeous hun❤️
I love this color on you So pretty
Thank you Joyce!
Nice color
Thanks Komal!
I like it you can do my hair
😊

Omg!!! This is so hard to watch!!! She's using a pro product but doing a very ammature application!!!!
I mean... did you read the title? 😂

I used manic panic and it didn't even dye, I don't even have that dark of brown hair
