Watching this as I do my very first wash day since getting loc’d!
I just found your page and I can’t stop watching your videos. I love your calm energy! And your locs are beautiful
Thank you so much!! 🥰
So glad i found your channel tonight. About to start my micro journey.
So happy to hear!
I'm so excited!! My install is scheduled in February and I'm just loving how you just washed it and was out that shower!!! I'm so over the pre poo and deep conditioning. Lol your hair is BEAUTIFUL 😍 THANKS FOR SHARING!
It is honestly a whole new world! Thank you so much and good luck!
Please don't forget to give this video a thumbs up if you enjoyed it, it really helps to support my channel. Also I've linked everything that I'm wearing/using/featured in my description box - Click on '...more' in the grey box for more details! 🫶🏾
Hiya
I enjoyed watching your videos, I started watching them as I wanna learn how to care for my micro locs when I get them which will be on the 11th of next month, I'm so excited and i can't wait to start my loc journey 😊
@@onikacooper1115 thank you for watching and good luck!
Thank you for showing the simplicity of 🧴 my sister locs. I will follow
Thanks this really helped me. I washed my hair for the first time since getting them installed. I usually wait until I go to the salon. It was such a nice and much easier process than when I was a loose natural. I love the low maintenance of it.
It's the best! I'm so happy you found the video useful
I love your micro locs the slow down was Everything!
Thank you so much!
Very helpful. I'm about to wash my hair for the first time. I'm two months in ♥️
So happy to help!
Looks very nice! Your hair is beautiful. I am getting ready to microloc my hair tomorrow and I am excited and nervous. Thanks for the video.
Thank you, this was very helpful ❤. I’m 8 months in micro loc. I learn a lot tonight 🙌🏾
You’re welcome and congratulations 😊
I’m 7 months into my loc journey!🙌🏾🙌🏾 I have always used Dr. Bronner’s Peppermint Castile Soap to shampoo my hair. It has been great! Last week I bought and used the Rose Water Castile Soap. I give that one a 10 too even tho I missed the peppermint tingle. Your locs are beautiful. I love Jamaican Black Castor oil and occasionally mix it with peppermint essential oil to oil my scalp. 👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽🧡
Thank you so much! I don't think I'm intrigued to try the Hemp one but I also looove that tingle lol
I love it. I wish I watched your video before I washed my hair. I’m only since Thanksgiving this is gonna be my 5th wash.
Just found your page and I loveeee it! I’m getting microlocs next week (I’m soooo excited 🤪) and your info has been helpful🫶🏾
Im getting mine installed next week..im so excited...😊😊😊
Girl I smiled before you even had a chance to after you took the braids down and turned around ☺️ I love it. I’m so inspired.
Thank you so much!! 💕💕
Thanks because this is about a year and a half for me and I needed to see this thank You!
❤
Love love love your channel! You was one of my inspirations when I decided on micro locs 😍 I’m current 1 month loc’d 😁
Aww yay thank you!
Congrats on your one year. I'm 2 weeks from my 1 year (December 25th). I'm so excited to have made it this far. I haven't had much slippage and stopped braiding to wash. My hair gets cleaner without the braids
Thank you! I can't wait for when I won't have to braid and band anymore haha

Your hair looks healthy. Good job. Please can you share the link to the shampoo. Thanks.
Already linked in my description box 🥰
You’re so beautiful and I love your micro locks. Install is schedule for tomorrow. I am so excited. ❤❤❤
Thank you so much!! And good luck xx
Nice routine because I am going to do it and my hair is the same size and my is also sister locs
Dr Bronners is definitely my favorite shampoo for my Locs.
It’s the best!
I do enjoy your uploads and your hair so pretty❤
Thank you so much 🥰🥰
The music with the video was lit 👏🏾 I was in here dancing. Whats the song when you were taking the braids down? I need that 😆. Definitely loved the video. Can't wait for more
Your locs are.looking healthy, I always feel great after a good wash of my locs. And when you used a good product, the feeling goes a notch.
I loooove that feeling!
Your hair is so beautiful. Am about to loc my hair. I’ve always been indecisive on how to loc it. Whether to go with Braids or interlocks but after watching few of your videos, I think I will go for the interlocks.
Awww thank you so much. I’d recommend interlocs over braids bc interlocs will look more like actual locs sooner!
Your hair looks amazing such an inspiration, I am 3 months into my microloc journey and loving it, still haven't landed on a shampoo as yet will try the castille soap. Love your channel by the way :)
Thank you so much!
Hi. Do you still braid and band for mature micro Loccs? I’m about a year and half in. I stopped doing this method and I’m wondering if that contributed to my Loccs form looking a bit off. Apologies I’m watching @ work without sound 😅
Your locs are beautiful and thick! I recently got my locs installed and they are not thick I have fine medium density hair how long did it take before you noticed thickness, the drop and weight? I love your videos, I would love to see a video with your favorite go to styles…thanks for sharing💕!!
Thank you so much! I never style my locs so I can’t help you there lol. My loctician started commenting about my hair thickening up around month 9 maybe - but I personally only noticed it when I watched this video back lol
Did you use oil in the beginning as well?
I’m 5 months in so far and just wondering
wow you really are so beautiful especially after hair is all washed and oiled and ready to go ! Thank you for the content. I'm thinking of starting the journey soon myself :)
Thank you so much!!
Your hair looks so good. I will be trying this. I’m coming up on 1 month being microlocd
Thank you so much, I hope you enjoy your journey 🫶🏾
The slow motion hair shots!! Love that ❤😂 I want to get sister locs now. I was nervous at first but I’m SO glad I found your channel. I’m going to commit to getting my install this year
Whoop whoop!! Honestly it’s the best hair decision I’ve ever made, I hope you love yours! 💕💕
Hello, I love your micro locs, they are beautiful. I just have one question, it’s okay to not let micro locs dry all the way before you take it down?
❤I love you and your locs 😅
I love that shampoo as well! Only thing use. Why do you braid it prior to washing? I’ve never seen this
I talk about it in the video its for preventing slippage (unravelling) of new locs
Enjoyed and it was very helpful
So happy to hear!
Thanks for sharing!! Maybe someone already asked but-- why do you braid up your locs instead of just washing them free? Is there a big benefit to that?
If your locs are not fully matured, you're advised to braid and band to prevent slippage/unravelling.
Beautiful locs!❤
Thank you so much!
I'm almost 14 months in - I've stopped braiding and banding since month 8. I do a pre-poo amla mask for 1 hr then wash with shampoo, then air dry - every other week. I've done my hair since I've started and I'll look for that castille soap.
That sounds awesome!
Was you prepoo when you was in the starter loc stage. I love prepoo but I don’t know. Scared they might come out “Microlocs”.
Girl you are so pretty!! ❤
You’re so kind, thank you so much ❤️
Gorgeous Locs. So healthy!❤
Thank you 🥰
Thank you looks super easy
You’re welcome and thanks for watching 🥰
girl your hair looked SOOOO good after the wash! loved the video
Thank you!!
Your hair is sooo beautiful
Thank you so much 💕
Here watching. Your LOCS are beautiful 🤩
Thank you so much 🤗
Nice! I’m happy I don’t have to bind & braid anymore.😊 3years in now. How many locs do you have? Very relatable video, thank you❤
Awwww lucky! And thanks for watching! I had 548 locs at installation 😊
What is your shampoo brand
really insightful video, well done!
Thanks for watching 😊
In the beginning of your journey, did your twists unravel at the ends? A lot of mine have and the loctician does not retwist when I go in for reties
Oh no I don’t think my ends unravelled. You can watch my 6 month updates for videos of my journey but I don’t recall that happening. WhT does your loctitician say?
@@Ifeyinwa nothing, I don’t think they care enough about my progress. Just retie and go sadly.
It’s so hard to find a skilled, caring loctician
I’m so sorry to hear that. It might be worth trying to find another loctician for a second opinion. I had slippage but I don’t have any advice about unravelling from the ends.
@@JenLizette I’m starting to think I’ve been really lucky because so many people have said that on here. Don’t give up, you’ll find someone 🙏🏾
@jenlizette I started with two strands twists and I am 13 months into my loc journey. A few of my twists did start to unravel at the ends. I re-twisted them. I had one that kept unraveling so I platted it. I did that recently. So far so good. We will see. My goal is to eventually take over the maintenance of my hair. But not sure when that will happen. I started with 243 locs and I had my loctician split about 30 of them. Once she can interlock the new ones, I will take over. That's the plan. Wishing you all the best.
I'm curious, if you don't want microlocs anymore do you have to cut them out and start regrowth fr scratch (big chop)???
You can comb them out, but it takes FOREVER and you'll lose a lot of hair. Personally, I'd cut mine off.
OOOH, so Glad I, randomly, fall on your vid TODAY!!! I'm 6 days shy from my 1st yr loc!! My Perimeter just doesn't wanna LOC😭😭😭!!! I will definitely try the cornrow trick!!! And I am Subscribing this second... Your locs look exactly like mine 🙃😃
Thank you so much! I’m so happy to help 💕💕
I’m 6 months in and just got home from my retie. My edges won’t loc. 😥
Watch my 6 month microlocs update, I had the same issue! They’ll settle with time 🫶🏾
😅 they will eventually doll, I have microlocs as well, very soft, fine hair. I use to Hate my edges for this reason but 13mos in they all locked except 1 on the nape of my neck. But it will get there ❤
@@tristaskashockness3430 thank you! I added a session between reties just for my edges and I started brand my locs at night, so when I went in this last time, my loctician was pleased.
Sister, please no conditioner needed?
I started using conditioner once my Loctician said I could - best to follow their advice as your needs will change as your hair matures.
If you ever decided to change your hair what is the process?
I’ve seen people comb out their microlocs but I wouldn’t do that. Personally I’d grow my hair out and cut my locs off.
@@Ifeyinwa oh okay you hair is really growing and getting thicker. I think our hair thrives in it’s natural state.
I have definitely noticed that too! This is the thickest and longest my hair has ever been.
I’ve been considering locing my hair but this seems like such a tedious process though…
It's really not! Once you get passed the installation, everything else is a breeze!
What’s slippage?
It's when your locs start to unravel
What’s slippage
your hair is slipping out of the loc and isn't matting right due to moisture
How often do you wash your locs?
Only before my reties which are every 5-6 weeks
I just realize that its not that easy taking the small rubber band off after washing and its taking some of my hair out while unloosing
Did you get micro parts too?
I think so, although I’m not 100% sure what that is to be fair
How long was your hair prior to it being loc'd
My average length was 10.5 inches - I’ve got a full microlocs playlist about my journey if you’re interested x
Why are you so cute without makeup?
You’re too kind, thank you 💕
