Procurement of wheat has started and there is no point in becoming pessimistic .we are going to have bumper crop.and will find difficult to store the entire procured wheatstocks .Do not believe in scarcity rumours.Such rumours are floated by interested parties.

Wheat production is fine but the thing is that farmers are waiting for the increment in price so they are not selling in current price and I can say this because I am from a farmer's family and the situation is same in whole village.
Price increment will only happen when the end customer will buy wheat at high price
Use online tools to reach end customer and sell without brokerage saves money 💰
Msp wheat mei 2250 hai lekin hamare yaha 2600 per quintal price hai

गेहूं की कोई कमी नहीं है सर जी , पर बात ये है कि अगर किसान सरकार को गेहूं देते हैं तो पैसे मिलने मे 6-7 महीने लग जाते हैं। जिस कारण किसान व्यापारियों को दे देते हैं पैसा भी तुरंत मिल जाता है और व्यापारी खेत से ही गेहूं ले लेते हैं।।
But In UP, government societies give instant payment and even buy at more price than MSP

there is nothing like that there are plenty of wheats available in the market ,all these things are just creating hype so that private player could rise price of wheat , i am from mp and belongs to farmer background family , farmers are selling their goods in open market mandis instead of govt societies because they are getting better price and instant cash amount for their next crop.

The buffer stock of wheat is 7.5 million tonn
lowest wheat reserve in 2017 which was 9.42 tonn
(still more than buffer stock)
Now in 2024 if gov procures more wheat, the farmers would have to sell in lesser price. Now what If government wants to release 5-6 million tonn of wheat into market?
the wheat prices would go down hurting the traders. that's why 3 farm laws were so important.
This year's monsoon prediction is positive, with projection of more than normal rainfall will certainly impact Agricultural output positively, so I think we can easily face this situation.

As an employee of FCI, procurement is going in a better phase. In 2023 There was nearly 600Metric ton of wheat procurement in the whole season under East zone. As on 05.05.24 , 8010.684 Metric ton has been procured. But market price is quite high... let's hope for the best

Toa shortage toa honi hi haai , upar se 80 crore logon koa 4-5 saal se bahut kam daam par anaaj diya ja raha hai . [ Joa ki achi baat hai , par procurement bhi toa badhaani chahiye thi. ]

People have stopped cultivation due to free grain policies of several state government and center.
I am farmer from M.P we are the major producer of wheat in INDIA. There is 50% less Production this year in M.P most of the farmers moved to grain from wheat . Farmers not getting enough price for the wheat and having loss so now they shifted to another crops.
