    This isn't how I did models back in the 60's. New models look killer. Keep making the hobby better.

      That's for sure, we didn't have the different glues or paints or access to all the online information available now. Also nice that others can see our builds, thanks for checking the video and commenting.

    Love this build! Crusty & rusty is the way to go. Really like the holes from where the chrome trim was attached. Well done! Stay safe & take care.

      @@ModelCarMinion It's funny Steve 🤩. A few months ago, I started on what was going to be a rustified 40 and cut the floor out of one. Then that big American group build started, so I dropped the project and started on the Dick Shelby 36 instead😁

    This is phenomenal Steve! really out did you self with the weathering, the multi color body panels and the removed trim with the mounting holes drilled out! LOL I know for a fact the end slate joke is true!!

      Thanks so much for the comment. Doing the rusty finish is actually easier than doing a shiny finish. There are a few different techniques but really no wrong way, give it a try. 🙂

    Man, that's a good looking 40 coupe. I really like how you did the weathering. I picked this kit up at the local hobby shop last summer. You've got me itchin to drag mine out now ☺

    I really liked it in the burnt orange before the weathering 👍 I'm doing a build and am going with TS58 Pearl Blue and a silver interior and burnt red and for the motors 👍
