Nice update Zip. Looking forward to the color that comes from orange over copper, hopefully that works for ya cause it sounds very interesting. Have a good one sir
Off to a great start, brother (every one of those that I've ever done had bookoos of flash too, it's typical on those old AMT 40'S 🤦♂️🤣) That 427 will fit, but there'll be some serious cutting (trust me, I know lol), but it'll go in.
Great update buddy....this bud is coming along nicely!..did you realize you you are pushing 1k subs? That is awesome...I've been doing TH-cam for 8 years and I'm only about half way there
Nice update, Zippi. I do know the GT350H has a Hi-Po 289 in it. I've seen others do that '40 and you are correct, the hood is wonky. Looking forward to your progress. Stay out of the heat.
It's definitely an old tool not sure about that reissue date but that kit has been out since the early 60's I still love the kit but it can be a challenge....gonna look good when you're done with it though
Nice job, I love those 40 Ford, but it's kinda hard to put a nice size engine in them because of the fenders getting in the way twords the front.. The revell 40 is just a little better, but still has the same problem.. Good luck ZIPPI. I'll be watching 😎👍
Thanks Buddy. I could just use the lower half of the custom engine that comes in the kit and put 2 4's on top. Still a few options I'm looking at. I shoved a 396 BB in to see how it fits. Not to bad if I go with an electric fan but I'd really like a Ford engine.
I think the Shelby 289 HiPo would go nice in there. That kits mould, tooling probably goes back to the 60s. Usually if you can find an older version of the kit the less flash and better fit of the parts you'll find. People cringe though when you bust open a vintage kit.
That kit has been released so many times that the molds are close to being worn out, so there is going to be lots of flash on the kit parts. I think I would just go with the flat head engine, and make the best out of it. Because, it may be difficult to fit another engine into the kit. I like the idea of painting with that color of paint with the orange clear on it. If you want darker, start with black primer. That should make the paint a little darker that with white or grey primer. In regards to the hood, most people I’ve seen build it just cut those clips off and fill in the holes in the body with putty. Thanks for sharing.
You can try flaming orange from testors, you can grind it in spray cans and is not that bright and has a metallic look too, love that one, but you can go with the tamiya orange in my opinion if you don’t want to go with testors
Hey Zippi if you want I have a few extra engines from those 57 Ford Gasser kits, its a sweet engine and has a couple of intake options,,if you want one ( free of course) send me a email with your address and I'll send you one and a shop card that I got in today,, right away buddy later Glen
Looking forward to watching to 40 come together!
Stick the blower on the flathead and go with it!
Thanks for the update!
Stay cool! 🍻
Thanks Buddy. That's an idea.

Thanks man. I watched a video of the combination being airbrushed on a video. It looked really nice. We'll see though.

Thanks man. I do have a XXX size shoehorn to get that 427 in there 😋

Thanks Todd. I can count on one hand how many subs I get per month anymore. I think I've about topped out.

Thanks man. It's still early in the game. Still checking out the parts and thinking about my color choices.

Thanks Papa. I appreciated your comments.
Two tone it Zippi, make the fenders a little darker than the main body. The orange would look good that way.
Yup. Lots of options Jeff.
Thanks for the update, I'll be interested to see the outcome. Take it easy mate. Cheers Bob 👍
You bet man. I'm liking this build.
Nice update , Zip.👍
Thanks Charlie.
Nice video on that coupe.. for sure stay cool, where I am at Gonna be in 90’s -upper 90’s through end of month… luckily got a/c ! Take care! ~Don
Thanks Don. I'm heading in the house for lunch and a movie with the granddaughter.
great update and awesome kit
Thanks man.
That's a 2019 release, that kit first came out in 1960, hence why so much flash and problems, but still really cool to build, :)
Thanks for the info Tom. Yeah.....its looking good so far. The engine leaves a little bit to be desired.
@@olezippi The Revell 32 Ford has a nice small block Ford engine or the new Revell Bronco kit
@@ramblers69 Thanks Tom. I have the BAJA Bronco. Is that the one?
@@olezippi It has the same engine, nice small block Ford,
Looking good 👍
Thanks John.
Awesome update buddy!!
Tha is Jared.

Thanks for the info Alan. Yeah, I'm sure there are some that may cringe but I buy them to build them.
Me too!

Yeah, its and oldie but goodie Michael. I'm thinking Street Rod so I'd kinda like a small block Ford in the business end.
@@olezippi Just make sure it will fit.
The tooling goes way back. Looks like your off to a Great start Zippi. I'll be watching
Thanks Michael.

Thanks Marcos. I kinda like to stick with the Tamiya line of acrylic paint since I know how it lays down with an airbrush.
@@olezippi yes that's the best way, looking forward to seeing this bad boy painted already
I love the fat fenders of the 40 Ford coupe I'd trim the hinges on the side I don't think I would make the holes bigger
Yup, love those fat fenders.
👍👍
Thanks man.
It’s hot here too zippi I’m inside the house in my room too hot for me to be outdoors
I hear ya. Well....for me it's either build in the garage or don't build at all. I think the garage is fine ☺
According to Scalemates that was released I '74 as a rebox.
Yup. You are correct sire.
got my kit yesterday I done video on few i got
Nice. I like picking up new adds to the stash.

Boy, that sounds like a good option for the 40 Coupe and I'd love to swap Shop Cards. Thanks Glen. Email sent.
