A well thought out system - VERY informative! Another advantage to greenhouses' ability to control water is reducing or eliminating cracking in tomatoes,. Some form of protected culture, even a plain poly tunnel, seems to me worth it just for tomatoes - right many can be lost from a heavy rain.
Yeah, a frame of reference would be nice. Especially since hiring a crew to build it for you is usually an additional 25-33% of the cost of the structure.
Was wondering that myself. Their website says call for quotes but I was able to find a proposal from Harnois for someone in 2021 for an Ovaltech I. Dimensions were 27x95 and freight was $4,429. Total cost was $59,360 USD so I’m guessing JMs is closer to 100k. Way out of my budget at the moment, that’s for sure lol.

Are there rain gutters on the sides? If not, JM, you are missing a trick. A couple of good sized water tanks would do you well in shoulder and summer months. Quick release for winter months is a no brainer. 🌻🖖

Such a peaceful video - watching your farm grow is so satisfying!
Thanks for the info J.M., I need to modify my greenhouse to double insulate for winter. Last year we had a polar blast and lost half our crops.
Oh no that's rough! But absolutely double layer with a blower is the way to go.
But I thought the direction was global warming?! Record cold temps every single winter??? But climate change...

Is the ground skirt on the side walls permanently fixed? Or can it be raised and lowered?
How can i order one of this cool tshirt?
How did JM trellis the tomatoes perpendicular to the length of the greenhouse?

So the climate is getting warmer and you need a greenhouse??
I think what he meant is that with a greenhouse you can control the conditions with the climate that is volatile
You might want to harvest all that rain water. Donot know why you are trying to avoid it so much.
maybe because of acid rain
It's because of climate change
@taraishana you can still harvest the water have & have separate tanks for tested and untested water.
nice hoopdie
🎉

Your president big on climate change
we produce greenhouse cover plastic PE film PO film from China factory and export to America
Because of weather manipulation tactics.
Look at all that wasted space up there
Aren’t green house gasses making the whole world a green house? Based on that I think we won’t need green houses anymore!
