Hi Helen. I love watching you cook cause you cook so many things I have never eaten. I’ve never had a turnip or a rutabaga. I’ve never had black eyed peas either but my husband has and loves them. I like a lot of pepper also. We eat out of pasta bowls most of the time. I love corn bread.

Hey Patti, I'm happy to introduce you to some new foods. My husband used to tease me that I could eat cornbread with everything. What kind of foods did you eat growing up?

Thank you for stopping by, Donna. It was a delicious supper. I think the peas didn't agree with me. I'm sad about that.

Many years ago when they thought I had GERD, I was told smaller meals more frequently and avoid fatty and fried foods as they stay longer in your stomach which can lead to acid backing up. Interestingly, we do not have turnips or rutabagas here in our local stores, at this time anyway. Previously, I never looked for them. I often wonder what the trial and error process was for those who figured out how much of a plant you could actually eat.

Thank you, Karen. Oh, you are exactly right about the GERD. That was one of the five things I was diagnosed with. Yesterday, I laid off some food and had a better night. I have wondered the same thing about how you figure out what plants are safe to eat if you've never eaten them before. Traditions? Somebody had to be first!

Looks delicious. I’ve never tried turnips so I will give them a try 😊. I did try to make boiled eggs in the air fryer like in one of your previous videos and it worked great 👏. Thank you for all of the tips ❤

This reminds me of the cousin dinner you made us at thanksgivings many years ago. My favorite is rutabaga, we have them at our holiday dinners. ❤
