You made a good point about how Infiniti has been sorely missing a manual transmission option. I see it almost as my life’s work to encourage my friends and customers to learn how to drive stick and often times, I’m the one one teaching them. Hell I’d consider stick shift a kind of hobby, like folks who like to brew their own coffee or take the stairs just because it’s hard and rewarding.
That's an awesome analogy Dreamy...people have gotten so isolated from the driving experience, a manual shift reminds them exactly what it is they're doing...it's why motorcycles will always be popular.
I just bought a 2014 Nissan Altima and love it. I can't wait to move up the Nissan ladder into Infiniti territory. This Q50 needs a well deserved scene in a 007 movie. Truly amazing.
mike prestige I never thought of it as a 007 car, but that's a good call Mike. It has dramatic lines and all kinds of power. If you've never driven one, you should treat yourself to a test drive.
That car looks GREAT! I personally LOVE the run flat tires and AGREE with everything he said!! I got a loaner that was a Q50 while my G was in the shop. I LOVED it and didn't want to return it.
you forgot the nice package about the wheels being wider than the wheel wells and the stones that are going to tossed on the side of the car. so do you cover paint when that happens?
I would have liked to see better views of the interior; an explanation is not really enough. With the said, the moderator gave a very thorough explanation and was professional and knowledgeable--a real plus. The car looks amazing.
Rite Industries That is a beautiful car. I see the gentleman who bought it all of the time driving in downtown Seattle...radio always jammin, smile on his face from ear to ear.
i think cheapest way would be to layer car vinyl on top of the chrome. There are all types of finishes from matte to metallic even the brushed metal like the one here.
Just bought a q50 premium in silver.. I just dislike one thing, the front bumper, wish it had the more agressive q50s look to it.... Is it possible to buy a bumper and change it? Or are the fitments different?
Tuned Photography You can change it. It might be a bit spendy at the dealer but bumper skins are very affordable online and are pretty easy to install.
That price is absolutely ridiculous I have a Q50 hybrid that is the same year and it has more horsepower and it came with the same package and I paid less than $20 for it and it only has 60,000 miles. And it's just as clean if not cleaner
How did they do the machined look on the chrome parts? I hate the chrome crap that comes on the q50 but I love the car overall so need to see if I can get that look without it being painted, unless that's what they do.
Aftermarket Q50 black out grilles are about $200...the Q50 does not have Apple car play but there are aftermarket options...however , there is zero chance I would do any electric mods to a car as complicated as the Q50.
Hey Joe I was wondering if you guys would be able to apply that ik package onto the new Q60 coupe? Also do you know when it will be available it as recently announced at the Detroit auto show and was stated it would be on sell later this year
I agree. Because of their connection with the race car driver Sebastian Vettel and the success of the Nissan GTR, I held out hope they'd come out with an Infiniti-branded GTR with a manual to use as a foundation for a race car program...but no such luck.
@@everycarSeattle Yeah, it's sad. US ppl are lame, lazy, boring, so much more common in europe. All of em on all these luxury care are all but gone. Q60 maybe, but that won't last if it's not already over. The cost.. especially in America, they have to crash test every body style, trim, assembly line cost, etc. The profit would be little to none. Even exotic supercars are becoming auto. What a disgrace. Next I'll be seeing rice burners without a clutch. Is it this stupid new retarded generation? I guess partly, but idk. Are paddle shifters the future? I didn't even know F1 used them(only casually follow NASCAR) Not saying it's not a lil cool. The computers and tech/now are amazing, they can shift faster.. I get it in a way, just sad to see certain things becoming obsolete, like nostalgic memories. Oh well.
If you look at what cars can do today like 0-60 in 6 seconds pretty regularly, 20 combined mpg pretty regularly, room for 5 adults, with a trunk made for shopping and an average life expectancy of 175000 miles you wonder if I'm talking about 2019 or 1969...they're virtually identical. Nobody would tolerate zero net improvement in phones or computers from one year to the next but we buy whatever they're selling in cars and swear that we're smart for doing it.
The Infiniti Dealorship that i use here in Dallas has 3 to 4 of these cars at a time, and they sell quick, especially since they mainly use Vossen Wheels... I love Crest Infiniti
Despite how nice this car looks, it smells like a combination of onion and old man armpits inside when it is parked in the sun, and the navigation/infotainment system has so many software glitches that its frustrating to do any damn thing on it. The infiniti dealerships treat you like a joke whenever you bring up these problems to them. The service manager even had the audacity to say that he didn't smell anything when the car clearly reeked of BO. Let me make this clear: If you want a car that works, STICK WITH TOYOTAS!!!
KanjoosMakhichoos It's funny you say that about the interior smell, because I've made that same observation and everyone thinks I'm nuts. But then again, everyone I know who owns one has some sort of fragrance pellet in their vents.
everycarSeattle I have a 2014 and I can't smell anything. I have read about this "smell" on the forums, but I honestly cannot smell anything. I do want that protector for my hood

just wait till your transmission blows up like in my 15 altima
@@Pelonfairf13ldflatz. Lmfao 8 years later, I can indeed verify that my transmission blew 1 year after owning it. 🤣

+Tony Redden They really are a blast to drive...and you hardly ever see them
+everycarSeattle
I agree 100%!
Awesome review for an actual dealership. We can see you’re an enthusiast. Well done! Still searching for my q50 ;)
Thank you so much for the kind words imoto...good luck on finding that perfect Q50!
Love the machined look.. No chrome and it looks awesome...
It looks nearly stock.
Good Sales Rep. I own a Q50S and he makes me feel like I should buy another one. But I love my Q50S as its my 3rd Infiniti.

looks awesome...what did you do to get the machined look on the chrome? How much would that cost to have done?

Beautiful car. Live in New Zealand and own a Maxima. Am so hoping Nissan introduce the Infiniti brand here.
How did you do the grill? Is that a paint, the "machined finish"? Cheers!

WHERE CAN I GET THE SIDE SKIRTS YOU HAVE MOUNTED ON THAT Q50?
what is the name and model of the wheels and what rubber do you have on them?
You have the 2019 black out, what would be the price..? Do they have apple car play?

Same Question!
Those brakes are called Akebono BBK just fyi but this is a sexy looking car. nice vid.

I watched this video in less than a minute!
This guy reminds me of Lex Luther from Small Ville.
khmerbraveheart I can live with that...normally I get Jean Luc Picard from Star Trek. Any improvement over that is a positive for me.
I wish the mirror close automatic not manual :(
How did you make all the chrome that gray/gunmetal look?
Nice looking and wall design
where can one acquire the grille and all the black on chrome overlays? through dealer?
Is it me or The car in the thumbnail seems to have vossen wheels it’s not the same car as the one shown in the video has different wheels.
We carried a wide variety of custom Infiniti sedans and coupes, probably more than any Infiniti store in the country.
How many inches r the rims
Awesome car
Ok thank you I do like the brush nickel finish. I have to find one like it in Toronto Canada.
That brushed nickel is a great look...I hope you find a really nice one!
Nice video. I bought a Q50 Sport and it's an awesome car. I want to trade it off for this car though with the custom upgrades.
How much?
That car sold for right around $55,000
what size is are those wheels? 19? 20?
Ryan A They're 19's, not too big but they look nice.
The Fast Lane with Joe Tunney hey Joe. Remember the sizes of the tires? Frt and Rear? And rims specs if you have it on file? Big thanks!
I wonder where this car is now....
Uh nah... I’m going new exhaust, intake, down pipe, diff, wider rims and tires, and prolly bags on my red sport.
Red Sport, ooh la la...you have great taste Chris!
i cant see in the car dude get in cameraman
nice job
They'll never make manual. Not worth it for the very few who would buy.

Ok. Smells like jealousy. Toyota v infiniti? What, the celica? Rev up your engines.
Come on camera man, get into the damn car.
Casey Yee My dynamite cameraman, Armando, has sadly left the car business to be a restaurant manager. I miss Armando, that guy was awesome.
Jesus , why couldn’t the camera man just sit in the damn car
Those Niche wheels are heavy as crap
Eh
"I wish they'd come out with a manual transmission for this car" Does this guy think it's still the 1990's? get with it granddad.
