I used to do this sorter work but the car was clamped to a jig with special pins that corresponds to measurements in an manual and there was rails on the floor for the puller’s!
yea hydraulic powered L pullers. the Chain hoists are creative. I dont think that would pass a crash test after those repairs. No new parts just peel them off and straighten them. Kinks and all. all that heat on the frame and it is compromised.
butt welding the frame. I am sure that would be totally safe. No fame bench....eyeball. I mean we did some stuff that way but not a repair like that. Everything was safe and seamed properly.
Just an observation here but, structure (frame) in the front was bent, straightened(??) with a come-along and a iron post and not on a jig. I'm betting this truck rides sideways from now on and likely will eat tires like there's no tomorrow
Hey bro, you need welding helmet to protect your eyes. Gravelly eyes are no good and in the end you lose your sight. No good. You need to protect your best assets (eyes, ears etc). After all they are what you need to work and live.
geoflo I have had three gravely eye experiences as a result of welding without goggles,it's not a good experience at all,never again,I learnt my lesson the hard way.
I'm just interested in who or maybe a insurance company pays for this I'm assuming this is in the middle east region I'm just interested in the procedure for accidents in this area
How many man hours did the repair take? which is the cost of the whole man work? which is the cost of the replacement parts needed? Which is the cost of the Hilux once repaired? I can´t understand such repairs
The local pharmacy is selling a lot of eye drops for burnt eyes........... A proper welding mask isn't that expensive and you can't see the melt pool properly without it.
this is how a car is repaired when labor is cheaper than parts. everything these guys are doing is so wrong. if this truck gets in a accident again someone is going to die. this truck should be sent to the scrap pile.

I've seen cars back in the 80's when driving behind them in traffic and they are litrally going down the road like a crab and the driver is oblitiate to whats going on.
This truck would be totaled in USA because of extensive damage to the body and frame . It will be a liability to fix the vehicle this way , no frame welding , only replacement of the frame . There are repair standards for the safety issues .
It shows how careless non professional and untrained drivers are the lisecing authorities are also questionable no standard no proper examination very pathetic a driver who cant driver a safest vehicle like vigo has no right to drive but only cart with donkey

It's a death trap. Tires are the smallest issue here.
