This company NEVER fails The only problem that this figure has is the rubbery mouth membrane causing some resistance with the jaws. Maybe if that was comprised of different segments, it would allow the mouth to open up wider. Other than that, an extended bendy wire tongue accessory would've been nice
@@AlexMartinez-gv7hy it definitely isn't the first was for the Kong Skull Island toy line but it could only open its mouth, then Playmates put out the Number 10 Skullcrawler for the GvK line which was the best untill now
Damn, you made a good idea there, m8. An alternate head with a long bendable tongue would be cool. I'm surprised by how much I love this figure. Probably the most uncanny (in a good way) Hiya figure I've held since '21 Goji. It truly looks like the very Ramarak from the screen to my display case. I do agree with you on the tail. Kinda wish it was fully ball jointed, or at the very least got a bit more ball joint before a wired portion. But I'm still satisfied and waiting for the inevitable Number 10 ver. Awesome review, Diego
Yeah, I'm on that same boat of hopefully that wire don't pierce the plastic, as for the review it was great no complaints and I can't wait to get 3 of them in my collection, yep three Skull Devils/crawlers, because heck Kong, Godzilla, or whomever got to fight something.
A good figure that doesn’t have some flaws. Hoping 2.0 comes along to fix them. Like a dual jaw membrane piece like Mattel does with the Hammond collection Idk why but I feel the tail needs to be even longer so it can properly wrap around Kong. Maybe have it ball jointed too
Not hiya but I get that fear with bendy tails, my neca alien got a exposed part of the wire out of the box and somehow the wire is not actually the full tail so it can't bend that much and for some reason it sets itself in only 1 position
Hiya seems to be very polarizing. Even in this comments section alone, there's a mix of "Hiya is our savior from the evil SH MonsterArts, they never fail" and "Hiya toys is so bad, they had one good release and can't make anything else, stay in your lane and let SH handle it". And I don't understand either perspective. Hiya seem perfectly fine so far. They have some figures I don't love, some I do love. They're not the messiah, nor are they the devil. They still have some room to improve and COULD be better than SH over time.
For sure, heck I hope that they can actually make competition between the companies. Cause that leads to innovation and hopefully better releases from S.H. monsterarts. Only time will tell but competition is super healthy
@@AlexMartinez-gv7hy I agree with both times you said this in the last few minutes. Unfortunately, I don't know if they'll be up for the challenge. They seem to just be settling for the bare minimum because it takes less effort. Also it would require people to agree as a majority that Hiya is providing real competition. Which as of right now, is still very much a split opinion. If we do, though, I'm curious to see if and how SH could bounce back.
Paying 50 dollars for shipping is crazy. I think it would have been better to get two from bbts and pay 4 dollars shipping or EE and possibly getting it shipped for free.
If The skull crawlers tail was made of ball joints it would look really bad the edge and spikes of the tail would look like slashes in it and on the whole tail Ball joints is only good on tails when it’s for figures like Godzilla
Hiya's worst figure so far. The rubber cheeks were such a terrible idea. I pulled mine out of the box and found that one side was already heavily cracked and and torn which does not give me any sort of confidence in the rubber tail.
@@dylanv9463It was the best anyone could do really, it’s hard to recreate Godzilla’s neck without sacrificing posability so I applaud hiya for their solution

I have Hiya rodan, who has bendy wires in his wings and they have yet to snap. I wouldnt worry about it there pretty sturdy! 👍
This is the first and BEST Skullcrawler action figure ever. I’m loving to see this on Amazon.
I dont think it's the first Skullcrawler but it is quite nice.

Hope we get an hiya ion dragon
I like the sculp and paint details, but that wire in the tail worries me no matter how heavy duty it may seem, even so looks like a nice figure.
I feel the same way.
Awesome review as always! 😊

Give the Hiya Toys Kong a chance. He's a great figure, too!
You're right. Their Monsterverse line is way superior to S.H. Monsterarts.
no it isn't.

Awesome job to drop a line
Gosh these reviews are the best
Thank you!
The Skull Devil has risen to raise terror on the Island. Nice review bro.
Thanks!

Awsome review. You're my source of if I should buy these figures or not
Thanks for watching and thanks for the support. I’m glad my reviews helped
Not a fan of wire things either . But that’s why I try not to bend anything ever so would last a long time . Hopefully!
Same. All the tails on my old NECA Godzilla figures are still intact because I'm so hesitant to move them a lot.
Woah soo cool
Skull devil is also known as Ramarak too.

Im pretty sure the tail is made out of hard material that wont let the bendi-wire pierce out the tail

Yup. I’m looking forward to them

I wouldn’t worry too much about the wire-tail. Hiya is known for how sturdy their wires are
Take a shot every time he’s says skull devil.
You're going to want to invest in some trees and jungle foliage before you review the Hiya Kong Skull Island fig.

At least it has proper neck segmentation, unlike their MV Godzilla figures with the ugly backwards neck seams.
Dang! I will keep an eye out on the inner mouth of my figures.
