Watching Peter run down those stairs like that - he may not have always been as open as Carter about admitting their friendship, but he definitely cared about his buddy. I loved the Carter/Benton relationship - the reason I actually started watching ER.
Everybody thought Benton was an asshole towards Carter when in fact he only wanted Carter to excel! Gave me chills when Benton came flying down the stares and to Carter at a dead run!
This is a top 3 episode from ER. We get to see some really great emotions from 3 of ER's characters that don't typically show emotion. Benton charging down the stairs to get to Carter, Kerry throwing up after opening up Lucy's chest, and Romano flipping out after losing Lucy. Great stuff.
They are humans, they were trying to save their friends, co-workers ... it is not the same as treating a patient you do not know, thats what make this ep. one of the best for me...
I was really impressed by kerry reaction when i saw it. Just before opening Lucy. Maybe one of the only time she was totally scared while working in a procedure. And Laura aced the scene
Noah Wyle and Kellie Martin are underappreciated actors. The entire cast is so talented. ER is an amazing example of what people can accomplish when they truly care about each other not just the paycheck. ❤
This episode and the one where Luka is tied down, kicking the wall unable to scream for help while Abby is going into labor are the bomb !! Love ER.. so brittantly written and actors are awesome
I remember watching this episode & when Carter fell after being stabbed, then sees Lucy on the floor, I was like wow, I did not see that coming. This was a great show
actually there're 2 more best eps before this ep!! 1. Love's Labor Lost, and last Hell and High Water george clooney famous ep..........................
@Stephanie Nau: The scene when Dr Weaver discovers the blood on the floor and goes into the room and then cries "OH!" and it cuts to the opening credits is done so well. One of the best American drama series, besides the Law and Order series imo to of been imported. Currently showing on CBS Drama here in the UK { they haven't shown season 7 yet} and also was transmitted on Channel 4 originally and its other channels like More 4 and E4.
Why didn’t Romano come down when Benton did? Wouldn’t have mattered just always thought all hands on deck and he’s there since he attempts to save her in the next scene
I don't believe Romano and other other one were there, they got called in like Liz and Green. That's why Benton yelled "do you have another surgeon coming?"
EVEN GOVICK JUMPED IN AND HANDLED THE EVENT WITH PROFESSIONALISM WITHOUT VISIBLE EMOTIONS BUT I GUESS THAT WAS HIS BRILLIANTLY EXECUTED PORTRAY OF HIS CHARACTER DURING THE EVENT. SKILL WITHOUT EMOTION. YOU ONLY SAW VEINS OF EMOTION IN A SCENE BECAUSE OF HIS DIRECTIVES TO THE STAFF WORKING IN THE EVENT. I LOVE HOW HE EFFICIENTLY CONFIDENTLY EXPLAINED WHAT THEY HAD DONE TO BENTON WHEN BENTON ARRIVED TO THE TRAUMA ROOM. IT, TO ME WAS AS IF THEY FLIPPED THE ROLES AND KOVICK BECAME BENTON PRE-EVENT. THAT SHOW WAS GENIOUS AND THE PRODUCERS AND WRITERS DID NOT CARE THAT BENTON IS BLACK THEY TRIED SOMETHING AGAINST THE NORMAL GRAIN RACISM THAT EXISTED AND THEY KNEW THAT IT WOULD BE ADMIRED AND WOULD DEFINITELY CREATE FANS. PEOPLE RESPOND MOSTLY ON A HIGH RATIO TO SOMETHING DIFFERENT. THEY WERE CORRECTOMUNDO!!!🤗 SHONDRA LEVY WITH THAT GREY'S ANATOMY TRIED TOO HARD TO DO WHAT ER JUST GENUINELY FELT PRETTY COOL ABOUT MAKING A BLACK GUY THE BEST DOC IN THE BLDG🤗 SHE ALSO RUINED GREY'S ANATOMY BY AMPING UP THE SEX ANGLE. DR. MCSTEAMY? DR. MCDREAMY? ER DID NOT DO THAT THEY JUST HAD NORMAL RELATIONSHIPS INTRA MA AND FE. THEY DID NOT TRY TO AMP UP NOTHING BUT THE REALISM OF THE SHOW---TRAUMA PROCEDURES. I CAN PICK OIT THE MEDICAL CONSULTANTS IN THE SCENES---THEY NEVER SAY A WORD THEY JUST HAD-OFF EQUIP AND EVEN ONE I SAW PUT A STETHO AROUND MALUCCI'S NECK (DURING THE POST STABBING EVENT IN THE TRAUMA ROOM WHEN THEY WERE WORKING ON LUCY AND CARTER). SHE NEVER SAID A WORD SHE JUST PUT THE STETHO AROUND HIS NECK. GENIOUS 🤗🤗🤗.
Would love see the episode where Kovac is in Africa, with warlord is about to kill him, and he sits up and starts praying. Please do that episode! Thanks!
Was i the only one who wanted to slap malucci when he was trying to tell elizabeth what to do during the emergency open heart surgery on lucy? " gotta cross clamp the aorta?" Some needed to clamp his lips shut!
They could have just wrote her character out like they did Doug and Carol and later on Elizabeth, Benson and a few others. They didnt have to kill her off.
I mean, she had the chief of emergency medicine, two other attendings, two residents, the associate chief of surgery, and the chief of staff all working on her at one point or another. If that wasn’t going to save her, nothing would have.
No she wouldn't. She was way more damaged than Carter. She had stab wombs everywhere. In the neck stomach and back. And she was in there longer and lost a lot of blood.
Omg get rid of this there’s no need for someone to film their tv when you can find this clip in 100 other places with much better quality. I understand your video may have been great in 1999 but there’s absolutely no reason why this particular video should still be on TH-cam.

I agree he even went with. Carter so he can check in rehab
I agree he even went with. Carter so he can check in rehab
xandercordy1 same thing with Rocket remono this was only time he wasnt being a jerk as the chief of surgery especially when his own people were hurt.
How did he run down those stairs without tripping? This whole show WAS great acting! I hate to say this, it's better than Chicago Fire. 😮
Everybody thought Benton was an asshole towards Carter when in fact he only wanted Carter to excel!
Gave me chills when Benton came flying down the stares and to Carter at a dead run!
That just shows how deep their relationship was dating back to when Carter was a Med Student.
When you see Benton running down the stairs, you kind of knew it might be okay
How the hell did Kellie Martin stay still thru all that ? And the noise? How? Good lord !
You new how serious it was with Carter that he came down them stairs fast
Oh goodness. ER was THE BEST night-time drama series ever!

The worst part is they didn't get to have their cake lol
This episode and the one where Luka is tied down, kicking the wall unable to scream for help while Abby is going into labor are the bomb !! Love ER.. so brittantly written and actors are awesome
Lucy and Carter looking at each other on the floor both really hurt....that haunted me for years
Still haunts me...
I remember watching this episode & when Carter fell after being stabbed, then sees Lucy on the floor, I was like wow, I did not see that coming. This was a great show
They should bring THIS back! Not all that other bubblegum shit shows!
This was when you know Benten cared for carter he came running.
Like a bat outta Hell!!
The camera work here is very outstanding..
Kevin Dimla. 😁
Especially following benton when he was flying down the stairs
This is the best episode of the entire series. I can watch it over and over again for some reason.
actually there're 2 more best eps before this ep!! 1. Love's Labor Lost, and last Hell and High Water george clooney famous ep..........................
Totally!

Stephanie Nau I wouldn’t say the best but it’s definitely up there. Top 5 for sure.
Hands down the most intense episode, without question.
I wonder if Kelli Martin wanted off the show or if they wrote her off?
Thanks for the video. R.I.P. Lucy knight.
This episode gives me goosebumps. Such a great group of actors.
Hadn't seen these scenes since they came out in Season 6, and it's like being hit with an emotional sledgehammer.
That was intense as shit!
God thank you Ive been looking for this episode for so longg
This is my favorite episode
Best episode ever
I actually cried when carter was stabbed. I love him
It was Valentine's Day not Halloween, its continued from the previous episode "Be Still My Heart" and this one is called "All In The Family".
Grey's Anatomy will never match this!
i love how it starts off all fun and stuff with Liz and Mark doing karaoke. And then it gets all serious. BTW: Not Halloween. It's Valentines Day
In this episode its not Halloween its valentine's day.
Love this episode
I remember this episode. It scared me when I was a kid
Excelente serie
My favorite episode of all time!! They did this!!
my favourite show ever on from syria

it still HURTS. NO.
my favorite part is Benton running to him, brotp okay?!
indeed
@@sarakennedy2633 That just shows how close Benton and Carter still are.
Was i the only one who wanted to slap malucci when he was trying to tell elizabeth what to do during the emergency open heart surgery on lucy? " gotta cross clamp the aorta?" Some needed to clamp his lips shut!
Everyone was talking over each other, people just love to pick on Malucci.
I want this video hd and full
What did Carter say when he woke up on that table?
My back!!
+john doe Thanks!
+Christine Eliza yup!! This ep also my favorite no matter how many times I watched!!
Guys subscribe to my channel this channel is my sisters so ya
Deb! Then he said my back
the best is labor of love
I think that was the episode that got me hooked during that first season.
That's "Love's Labor Lost."
If we didn't have to worry about health care we would all have stunning work such as these.
Intense.
This show had more corse language than greys and Chicago Hope
Just curious, what was said that was so coarse?
What season of the series is this. ?
Y Hideit Six. Episode is called All in the Family
Una delle scene piu drammatiche di E.R.
After many years I started to binge watch ER on Hulu. But now I can clearly see after Doug and Carol left the writing started to suck
midnight
Best er ever
valentines day not halloween
hey right on... =}
me too...!!!
Ninguém usando touca... Difícil assim
wish they didnt kill lucy
The actress wanted to leave
Yes, it was her decision to leave.
Me too! But yup she wanted off!
They could have just wrote her character out like they did Doug and Carol and later on Elizabeth, Benson and a few others. They didnt have to kill her off.
I feel like if Benton stayed with Lucy she would of survived
Yea me to he look like he was mad when he left carter
@@malishacunningham9564 yeah same

@@halfthefunhouse true but Benton could of stayed with Lucy before she crashed and before Elizabeth and Mark arrived and she could of survived
No she wouldn't. She was way more damaged than Carter. She had stab wombs everywhere. In the neck stomach and back. And she was in there longer and lost a lot of blood.
Which episode is this?

Season 6 Episode is called all in the family be still my heart was part 1 following this current episode.
