I have the Canik Mete with a Holosun 507 and a TP9 SC Elite compact for carry. Both have given me outstanding performance, so much that my G19 never leaves the safe. I highly recommend Canik pistols. Great price and even greater trigger.
My favorite pistol I have so far, and for a few reasons including accuracy, feel and reliability, is my Canik TP9 Elite Combat. GREAT pistol! Canik makes some great guns in my opinion
Canik makes very good guns. Their trigger is the best in the striker-fired business. I just like em! Like Sheriff Matt, I grew on iron sights and trained with them for decades. It is tough for me to shoot through a red dot. I am damn accurate on iron so the red dot does not enhance my performance.
I've got one and have had a couple of stoppages with mine But I attribute to not cleaning it enough. I use it for USPSA and shoot reloads with coated bullets. The latest stoppage was because of something got in the striker channel. At first I assumed I had broken the firing pin, but it was fine, just dirty. I have several friends that also shoot them and really like them. They are definatly a great value for a really good gun. Good job on the video.
Thanks for taking us out shooting. That looks like a very nice gun and you are shooting it well. I enjoy watching you shoot and I have forwarded your videos to other shooters so they can see how it is supposed to be done.
Nice weapon. Nice shooting. I dont think many people pay enough attention to notice a lttle printing. I was startled by a tire store manager who asked me what I was carrying...he could see the top of the spare mag I was carrying. I tightened that up.
Sheriff O; Owner of Canik Mete SF. The Turks install trigger/ main springs for high pressure military ammo. The SF Mete would FTF, and fail to cycle run of the mill commercial 9mm. I got smart and contacted Sprinco in Austin, TX, they have been to this Rodeo before- and sent me the correct main/firing pin springs. Gun runs like a Singer sewing machine, no FTF's, no cycle hiccups.
I struggled with the transition from iron sights to red dots as well. I bought a Taurus TX22c and put a Holosun 507K on it to train with. It took a lot of range sessions for me to fully embrace it, but they are more accurate, at least at that range. I used to worry about printing, but you are correct, most people do not notice. Besides, today I am not trying to impress anyone with my body, I dress to conceal it as much as the pistol.🤣
Enjoy your videos, just subscribed. My son and son in law are both in law enforcement,I appreciate that your not politically current and share your faith. Where about the same age and still get excited with a new gun purchase.
In a 100% agreement with you on Dots for Carry. Don"t always pickup the dot on draw. Enough to convince me. The range or target practice does not matter!!!
Great vid! Bought mine about a month ago and love it. People rave about the trigger which I also found to be true. Also liked the 5.2 inch barrel for added weight/less recoil. Smooth and more fun to shoot.
This has been my edc for the past 3 years and LOVE IT! Around 5k rounds of everything but remanufactured or steel ammo with no issues. I carry primarily aiwb .
I’m 66 just added Holosuns to my Shadow systems compact 9 , FNX-45, FNX 510 and my FN502. The single best advice I got on acquiring the red dot-is looking and focusing on the target not the dot. This has really changed my effectiveness and accuracy even in high stress drills. I use suppressor set sites this helps with dry fire practice and acquiring the dot. I feel my shooting has improved tremendously. So look at the target and lots of dry fire practice from the holster and ready. I like the Canik good quality. Favor the Shadow Systems slightly.
I think what help me with getting use to the dot at first was having my targets at eye level. I noticed that your targets are low level. Just trying to be helpful. Caniks are known to have the best stock trigger in the market. I will probably own one soon myself. Have a great evening Sir and thanks for sharing. New sub 👍🏻🇺🇸
I have the same exact gun, my first ever gun and I love it. And I weight 150 pounds tall and skinny and I can conceal the tp9sfx only if I angle it just right and wear the right clothing lol
I carry a canik Mete sfx for duty as armed security hasn't failed me yet and the canik mete sights cowitness with the dot an improvement over the tp9sfx
I love canik firearms but I don't like red dots. Even my rifles have irons or scopes. I'm not a fan of change and I was raised and taught on iron sights and scopes.
Based on my very limited experience, yes. It'll have to make 1k+ rounds with no issues before I can be certain. My agency requires approval by a committee of instructors after evaluation.
I have never seen such a push to sell a gun. I have owned, used, and carried guns for over 50 years! This one in the video was one of the worse ones in reliability, I have ever owned. After paying $400 for it, 6 months later, I traded it for a $100 toy at a gun show!
Where throughout this video did he push to sell the gun?? He just gave his honest review on it like he does every other firearm. Some folks just have to always be negative if you didn't like that firearm just state that and your reason why you disliked it don't try to make it seem like he is trying to get people to buy something just because he likes it. Have fun with your $100 toy gun Mr 🤣🤣
No manual safety on a light sloppy single action trigger striker pistol is a deal breaker for me. All my strikers have manual safeties. I won't own a striker that does not have a manual safety. Something will snag on that trigger when its least expected. Its not a question of if but when. I don't carry 1911s without manual or grip safeties either and that is what folks are doing carrying strikers without a manual safety.
@@DeputyChiefEMS57 I own two with over 600 rounds in each and I stand by what I said. Hammer fired triggers are superior because they are clean breaking. Striker triggers are not clean breaking.
Respectfully Sheriff, let that round cook before you put it in your hand for ANYTHING. I wanna keep seeing my youtube friend make many more GREAT video’s

Sheriff, I bought a Canik METE SFX last month, I'm impressed with mine as well. Good video!
For the price point, they're tough to beat

I get the iron site deal. My problem is my eyesite stinks the Older I've gotten. May have to pursue the optic avenue.
It’s nice to see when people gets real exited over their new guns 👍🏻 i’m thinking of buying one myself. Just the gun costs 12-1300 usd over here 🇳🇴
Holy cow! Where are you located?
@@SheriffMattOller In Norway.
@@martinnorway wow. That's like 150% more than USD cost.
@@SheriffMattOller yep. It’s insane 🤠. A new s&w 686 revolver is close to 2500 now. So, thank god for the used guns website.

I have the mete SFX pro. Has an even better trigger with threaded barrel. Love it. Under $600.
I have heard well of Canik in every vid seen and out of other shooters at the ranges.
Have loved mine, just picked up a Rival

Better trigger than a Glock, better sights than Glock, better Price than a Glock, hell even better capacity than glocks.
I like the way you do your videos. Well explained and clear. You got a fan from Puerto Rico 🇵🇷 🇺🇸
I love that gun it’s hard to choose that gun or my Glock 41

Good Walther clone… turned the correct way for a little extra speed this time. Good job
Very pleasant video to watch. You have a relaxing manner and have earned a new subscriber.
were you talking about grafs reloading in St. Charles? if so, that’s an awesome place.
congratulations on the new gun! That’s always an exciting day.
Graf's main store is in Mexico MO
I had a canik tp9sc. I keep kicking myself for trading it off for a new shotgun I wanted! Hind site is 20/20. May have to look into the tp9sfx.....
Pick up the mete mc9

I'm super impressed with that trigger for a striker fired plastic gun. For real.

Great gun. Pronunciation is actually Janik
I've got the canik mete mc9 and the tp9DA and they are both excellent.
A tip for finding a dot. Don't look for the dot. Look for the iron sights as you usually would. I promise you'll find the sight.
Life hack... if you carefully mirror the mag catch on them, the 33rd Beretta 92 mags will fit the Canik... AND will lock the slide open on last round!
Beretta mags will also run in Sig P226 and P229 if you carefully cut new catch slots......😁

One if best gund made 60000 rd toucher test says it all inout my lifebin kine with one there that great shf masterpiece
The make plates so you can have rear sight now ..29$
Interesting.
Maybe once I have retrained my mind to the dot, I'll grab one and put suppressor height sights on for a backup.
Thanks!

In Turkish, it's pronounced ja-NEEK.
The c in Turkish has the same sound as the English j.
My first pistol I got was a glock 34 and I'm looking into buying a new 9mm. Would anyone reccomend this over the px4 storm?
I didn't know a gun shop that will let us pull the trigger while looking at it... Not pulling the trigger lock off
No trigger locks at my LGS. I'm glad. That's like buying a car without ever opening the door........
