    I have the SFX and the Echelon. Both guns feel great in my hand so with that being said I do give an edge to Canik with the trigger for sure but I do give a slight edge to the Echelon with accuracy. It is great what Springfield has done with the option for optics but I don't think you can go wrong with either gun.

    A fellow IDPA competitor let me shoot his Echelon and it was easy to hit 6" Steel round plates at 25 yards with just the irons. Although I still have yet to shoot any Canik pistol, the Echelon is truly remarkable. Makes me want to put a decent set of sights on my XDM 4.5"!

      I have 3 of the echelons and about 12 caniks and this video is fake news the rivals out shoot the echelon easy it's not even close #1 the less flip is wrong ,got to put a light on that canik to compare truthfully the canik with win if you do you talk about the treaded barrel on the echelon if you want it but you forgot to mention that will cost you more than the canik ,there goes that comparison on price and the truth is you can buy the rival for about 550.00 now because they have been around for a while and there are more of them on the market the week I got my frist echelon after it was sighted in and a break in period me my wife and a couple of friends all shot them back to back for an hour or so and after about 250 rounds though it one it was obvious that everyone was shooting the canik better not just a little tiny bit but by a decent amount better since then I have gotten the theaded echelon and have shot it up against a few of my rivals with the same results the canik rivals and the walther PDP PRO are the best shooting guns under 1000$ in my experience and opinion but hey we all have them (opinions) so go shoot them for yourself before you buy them and make the choice that right fir you!!

      The caniks and Walthers are snappier than most pistols. It has to do with the bore axis and how they're overall designed. They have good triggers but they're not the best pistols for overall speed. If echelon had a trigger like the canik it would absolutely destroy it on the range. The canik only has 2 things going for it which are the price and trigger. Everything else about it isn't very impressive and it's optic cut is the worst in the business since it's designed for micro optics.

    As far as the flatter shooting from the Echelon, I don’t have a dog in this fight but that was not a fair comparison.
    If you had an under barrel light on both of them that were roughly the same, then that would be fair. The added weight under the barrel on the Echelon will dampen barrel rise and make it shoot flatter than without the light. With only one of the pistols having this attachment, it’s giving a leg up to the Echelon out of the gate for which shoots flatter.

    I have a Rival and really like it. I'm not a big fan of how the Rival or Springfield looks. That said you don't buy a pistol for looks but for performance. I don't think the Springfield is enough of a improvement anywhere to warrant purchasing one. The Rival easily out performs most of the shooters that own one. It appears the Springfield has less recoil but you can always get your Rival ported or add a comp and work on that part of the Rival. In the end I'll save my money and work on being better with my Rival. $600 buys a-lot of practice ammo !

    Agree with @J0seWales, great review. I have the Rival and the exact CZ you used as the example of great trigger, don't have the Echelon. Despite my innate hatred of guns smaller than the Glock 19, Springfield Hellcat I have in my console and conceal carry is really not too bad so I'm sure the Echelon is pretty great, too. I'll probably get one eventually and probably love it like I do the Rival after I get off my PDP kick which I also love. Not a single decent pistol from the past few years doesn't totally overmatch my ability to get every drop of capability out of it. Great thing is that we can all get exactly what we like and want.

      And the Canik weighs more right out of the box. Not that big of an advantage. The comparison is a little off all the way around. One is a competition gun, one is a duty gun. And he left out one big feature on the Echelon. It is a chassis system. It will have different grip modules available allowing it to be more adaptable to the situation.

    Grip feel is highly personal. Both pistols offer multiple plates. The rear sight plate for the CANIK is fully adjustable. The trigger on the CANIK borders on being the best striker trigger made on a production gun. If anything surpasses it, it would only be a Walther that has a Dynamic Performance trigger. If it was a defensive gun and it could get dirty, etc.... I would go with the SA. For competition, the CANIK. They are all hitting a state of refinement where they're best at specific purposes.

    To me this wasn't even a contest. The Springfield wins in every category. And the most important category is reliability which Springfield destroys canik in. All of my Springfields eat every type of ammo I feed them, they have never malfunctioned. I have had 3 Caniks and will say that I shoot them accurately. All 3 were ammo picky and that's unacceptable for a gun I plan to carry and/or use for home defense. Caniks are known for being ammo picky which I wasn't aware of prior to buying them. Canik is also not great on ergos. They feel blocky and top heavy and on the heavier side. Springfield Echelon for the win 🏆

It's nice to have options but usually a person has a "standard" of what they carry. If you stay within the wheelhouse of sights or a dot and or a light, the Echelon wins due to the mounting options of dots and the lower axis along with the slide cuts. Fun review however. • @WarriorSoul357
      @WarriorSoul357 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yup. They're a bit flippy. Pretty sure that it comes from them being so heavily based off the Walther p99 which was also rather flippy. You could always play around with the tension of different recoil springs to see if that may help curb that some, but if it's a carry gun... I definitely wouldn't recommend tampering with the recoil system.
      I used to have a HK VP9 and VP9sk, while a friend of mine had the Walther PPQ and subcompact. I also had the P99. We'd often swap, and compare. The Walthers were indeed more flippy. Fantastic guns, but yeah. More at the muzzle.
