Sir.....a year ago, on my 09 Nissan Versa, the #3 cylinder went out. Mechanics charged me over $500 to replace that single coil, change out all the spark plugs & gasket. Over a week ago, my car was starting to "cough" while I was stopped...and also during initial acceleration........O'Reillys Auto Parts said, after running the codes, the #4 cylinder was misfiring..... I thought...."am I going to have to pay this much again????"....came across your video. Paid $150 for 3 new coils (after military discount & decided to replace the #1 & 2 while I was at it)....took about 3 hours....(and 5 beers)....my Versa runs so much better! Thank you so much for posting this, you saved me so much $$$$$......

Four new plugs, plus an intake manifold gasket, plus manifold and carb cleaning, oil change and a horn wiring fix for just under $300. The high price would more than likely be at a chain auto repair and not a local guy.

I know this is an old video but it was super helpful to me last week when doing this to my wife's 2010 versa when Firestone said it was 1 misfire because of a bad coil pack and they recommended replacing all 4 coils packs and all 4 spark plugs at the same time and told me it'd be $1600. I bought the parts online for $200+tax and shipping and I replaced them myself in about 3hrs.

The Versa is a pain in the ass to work on. The only things that are easy are the filter swaps and the coolant drain and refill. Other than that the car is super difficult to work for most things.

You hit it right in the head! $500 paid at Sears to replace my #4 spark coil on my Versa. I could have done it, but a lack of tool organization and a bit of fear of messing up the airflow system got me to hand the job over to a mechanic that did it in 30 to 45 mins. If the other coils mess up, I'll dig in and replace them all and the plugs. Good video though. I'll save it. Overall, the Versa has been great. It's a 2010 and I've driven all over the country, racking up 120k miles. From Miami to Toronto about 5 times without a single problem. This is it's first.

This video barely scratches the surface... One thoughtfully-produced video with tips and a step-by-step is here:
      th-cam.com/video/breoB5zC-e8/w-d-xo.html
Doing the gaskets is just a good idea because of the labor time and it's better than having a gasket failure sooner because you didn't replace it when you had it open.
Other things you can do at the same time include cleaning the throttle body (I think there's a gasket there too), changing the PCV valve (boy, that's a cheap fix that can make a big difference), draining/refilling the coolant, changing the thermostat, cleaning the intake manifold (along with a new gasket), cleaning the air box, replacing the air filter and cleaning the MAS (mass airflow sensor).

Repl it now cause you cant remove it with with intake on. Clean the throttle body while its off unplug it so it does set a code. Be gentle.

You should replace these gaskets. Do your valve cover gaskets and replace your PCV as well. I just did my NV200 and the rubber was completely dry.

With the Versa, the blue coolant light is just letting you know your engine is cold and needs to warm up, the manual tells you to not drive over 40MPH until that light is off.

What kind of ODB reader do you use? Do you recommend it or something else? How many miles on that car? Should you have changed the intake manifold gasket and/or throttle body gasket? I have a 2014 Versa with 94,000 miles and I'm getting a P0301 code. I picked up some plugs but coils were over 100.00 each and I didn't want to buy 4 if I might only need 1. Another TH-cam video regarding P0301 error codes showed pitting due to arcing at the base of the coil where it meets the spark plug so I'll look for that. Anyway, thanks for the helpful and entertaining video! Cheers!

another thing could cause a miss fire is a bad rubber hose or crack in the plastic intake if your remove the intake put white grease on the intake gasket and on the throttle body gasket or o ring so it don't suck air also look for corrosion on the coil will cause miss fire or the coil or plug can be bad

The issue happens at all speeds even highest top speed or at startup speed too
