Thanks for posting this. All the other videos I see on this subject make it seem so much easier. (ie my son peed in three days) Yours is the most realistic video I have seen on this subject.
Thanks so much for this video. We're on day 4 with our 23 month old who is a super speedy wee-er and all the other videos on here are like "our 18 month old picked it up in 45 minutes". We'll give the water playing method a go.
Thank you. You filling in the gaps that I needed. 😊❤ agree with all your cons. I’m in the middle of this and almost gave up. Yet I’m pushing through. This video was so needed right now.
Such good tips mama!! I love how you went through day by day for you guys! I just uploaded my video of tips for potty training too! Love how each mama has different things to help because each kid is different!
Can I ask you how big the space was that you and your son were in during this process? I plan to start this week and I just finished this book. Should we just stay in bedroom?
We stayed just in the kitchen and bathroom (which are on the same floor), because the rest of the house is carpeted. I put a potty in each room, and we were like that for all of block 1. I definitely recommend the oh crap Facebook group too, for extra support as you go - it's brilliant! x x x
@@phoebehope6549 yes I'm trying to distract her too but she arches her back every time now. She was sitting on it this morning and this afternoon is not 😒
We ended up doing a lot of more traditional methods after a couple of days. What worked for you instead? I found that experience to be by far the hardest part of parenting, so far!
Potty training at home vs your childcare situation are totally different. By the way this is NOT the Montessori way of training a child for the toilet. Children in childcare cannot run around naked or have the 1:1 that this method requires.

I'm so glad! That's why I posted it, because I was so ashamed that it didn't "click" after a day or two like it says in the book x

We've just finished day 3 and have been having a similar experience as you. Thanks for sharing! This was helpful to hear.
It's so hard when you're in the thick of it! Just trust your instincts and know it'll happen one way or the other x
I hadn't seen that book before, but the title is pretty clever!
Yeah it's well-written, and definitely made me laugh out loud 😆

How old is your little one? x

Hi what did you do when your son refused to sit on the potty when you caught them peeing ?
Distraction 😛 Either reading a story or cartoons when I knew he wanted to but refused to sit x

We bought the book, read it from cover to cover and this method did not work AT ALL for us.
