What motivates you to make these leveling addon videos?

This is nice and all Nixx, but you have to pay for the addon. Leveling guides online are free and only take up a second to search up. I don't know why anyone would want to buy this when the information and guides are already out there
Having used it to lvl during wotlk cut my lvling speed in half compared to using questie etc
You don't actually have to pay for Zygor or RXP, there are plenty of pirated versions online.
@@dayoftherope1690 That's something I don't believe. And I'm talking about the addon being a in game guide, not about questie, which helps you locate quests and their objectives. They are 2 different addons.

I own RXP, it's objectively the best guide for wow anywhere, from leveling to professions, grinding, pvp raids, dungeon cleaves etc. I don't know any other guide that has a category for literally every single feature in the game. Not only that, but because it's a paid service- they have a discord and help line dedicated to any bugs or issues with the guides. You don't have to pay, but you're paying for a bundled package of the best guides for wow. You get what you pay for so to say.

Every game I play that is moddable, I mod (wow, skyrim, valheim, CP77/, satisfactory, to name a few) and there is a small but dedicated community who do not get paid by the game developer for the hours of time they put in. Mods are the primary reason games like Skyrim and WoW are still a thing. You are only upset because nixxiom made a sponsored video for an addon that god forbid is actually good. People who develop mods deserve respect and support from the player community and your take is insanely entitled and low IQ.

I'm a newcomer to WoW and found RestedXP to teach me so much about the game that would otherwise be intimidated. I still get excited for each new zone it takes me to but feel I would often get lost without it. I will do future runs without the add-on but for me personally it offered the structure I was looking for and helped me 'stick' with the game rather than jumping to other MMOs. Idk just another perspective I guess.

Put like that, sure, there's inconsistency. But you're not representing my views accurately:
I stand by the following. First, Classic WoW is objectively a better game when it comes to the level up experience compared to the modern game; I don't think many would deny that. The feeling of accomplishment, progression, etc is unmatched even when compared with Dragonflight. And as I've said in multiple streams and videos, if you're a new player to the game do NOT use any sort of leveling guide. Do NOT use RestedXP, Zygor, Questie, or even ANY addons at all for that matter. I wouldn't even encourage a new player to use a simple bag addon. Experience the game first in the way that it was originally designed; see why so many people have fallen in love with WoW over the years since 2004.
However, if you're someone who has leveled multiple characters to max, you know the game, and you're just trying to get an alt to max as fast as possible for the sake of your Molten Core raiding guild: Sure, go for it and use a guide. What's the harm? And even if you use a guide, whether it be this one or another, the guide still isn't going to take away that feeling of getting a bag drop, or learning to summon a Voidwalker, or getting your first mount. Classic WoW is just that good! Even if you're someone like me who is trying out different guides for fun because you enjoy the leveling so much, the guides still don't take anyway away from the feeling of accomplishment or adventure.

It's true that you mentioned in your previous videos that the leveling experience can be improved for new players specifically. Also I agree on your view about classic being better in general giving a sense of adventure and accomplishment. I think this whole discussion perfectly shows the challenge Blizzard has: they have to find a good balance between making the leveling fun and exiting for new players, but also don't make it a long and grindy process for experienced players that want to level alts. I guess your whole point with retail is that this balance isn't right for a long time anymore, and classic wow shows that.

I personally think that using an Addon like Rested or Zygor in Hardcore defeats the purpose of the challenge itself. A hard solo adventure to level 60 trivialized into follow the exact path gameplay. While I understand it's usefulness and I love how they are organising these events, I don't think it's right to use it in such a challenge.
i find it fascinating how people use addons to make the game harder, and simultaneously use other addons to make it easier and more streamlined

You will be doing those starting areas over and over and over after deaths. Of course people would look for ways to speed it up.
I personally use them as I played since 05' and sometimes it is nice to go through it with a guide. I did my time with traveling through the world without one. However I agree 100%. people should first play all their classes without a guide and enjoy the game as it was desinged. later. plow through with a guide

1. i’m not trying to go “fast” when playing classic era. the whole point is the journey you take at your own pace
2. retail leveling is already so fast, no one realistically needs it optimized further.
3. i already pay $15/month to play the game. i’m not paying for an addon on top of that when there are tons of free ones that are good enough on their own.

It's a paid addon. I'd just get Questie and go to the hotspots where's there's loads of quests and do them in your own pace/order. Game feels alot better that way imo. Kinda useless to pay for a 35-50 USD guide when it is supposed to be about the journey.
Addon is great but too expensive. That's why everyone pirates it. If it was $10 I'd support them but not doing 25-80 dollars depending on which guide.

Wow classic hc is my first experience with the game and i love it, this addon made it way more fun and i like preparing for the next steps on my journey.

The guide does not take into account diffrent classes.
I am Following the "hardcore mode" At certain levels founded the guide extremely difficult to follow as warrior, SOme quests in the guide inclusive killing green mobs are simple not possible being 2 or more mobs involved. SO i just had to outlevel them huge ,,and the xp gain was no worth it, grinding was way more fast.

Paying for an addon (or to unlock the full addon capability) should be against the ToS and I'm suprised Blizzard isnt already all over this.

The only add on I use in Classic besides the Hardcore addon is Questie. I am not interesting in paying for an addon in Classic or Harcore, we have to pay to play World of Warcraft as it is!
I have mixed feelings about this one... yeah its super efficient to follow the most optimal route but you essentially playing retail at this point... think about it, its like questing on rails it goes against the spirit of vanilla! this is why retail became what it became.

Zygor is better due to it picking up from the place you stopped. unless you start a new toon rested xp has no idea what quests you have already done.
RXP does keep track of all quests you've done already and even skips to any level if you start using the guide at any time.
@@5pirits I bought it and started it up with my lvl 46 rogue, I had to manually skip all the quests I've done. Zygor does this automatically

I actually bought restedXP for SOM classic... Back then it was terrible. Many Bugs, terrible pathing, quest that didnt exist and much more. They basically released a beta version of an addon for 30$.
It was a joke, especially when you compare it to free leveling guides that have been available and perfected for over 15 years.
the addon is a complete waste of time. Just started to use it again, thought lets give it another chance (free version). 30 min in, not a single XP point gained, only running insanely far to die in a dungeon on purpose and revive at a spirit healer (WTF)?!?! The quest I am supposed to get does not come from the NPC mentioned in the guide (more time wasted) - and yes it is the latest version.
You should NEVER EVER PAY for crap like this. Get an addon that tells you the zone levels and move on when you meet the requirements. Try to stay -2 levels of the mobs and quests and you will be just fine.
