Just bought the same sink, like some of the things you did that I didn’t think of like the tape around for less messy caulking. Thank you for the video, will be cutting my countertop and installing tomorrow , hope it goes as smoothly as yours
Oh my goodness, thank you for this video. I am about to install the same exact sink and funny enough the one I'm taking out looks exactly like yours, down to the faucet even. I thought I had all of the tools and everything ready but didn't realize until I saw your video that I might need to cut the corners of my granite. After laying the template over my current sink, I realized that I do indeed need to cut it to accommodate the square corners. Glad I realized that before I was halfway into this with everything ripped apart. Luckily I inherited an angle grinder so I guess this will be my first time getting to use it. Thanks again.
If you install exactly this brand, no clips required, because top plate around 3mm (1/8") thick and all what you need-silicon around counter and drop the sink.
Yes. This brand has thick counter top plate (about 3-4mm) sitting very well on silicone. Done dozen this brand through the last 6-7 years and all in perfect conditions at customers houses just with silicone.
@@FixitAll I also wanted to compliment you. I really like your approach of using the tape to outline the future location of the sink and then caulking the countertop, instead of the sink. Very-very clean and precise.
Measure old minus side leaf on countertop. In my practice this it the FIRST SINK which was fit without cutting countertop. So no worries about precision measuring, any way in 99% you will need cut countertop.
